Android Q update problems - Samsung Galaxy S10 Questions & Answers

Hello,
I'm struggling with my s10, SM-G973F, i was rooted and twrp etc, then i decided that i want the q beta, went to ASII signup for the members ap to get the beta and tried 3 way's to run the update by SD card - could not mount the sd card and adb way and this failed, and offcourse i tryed trough the phone Software update but this had failed as well, can anyone give me a hint hot get this done.
When i'm on ASII if i try by card i get:
Reboot recover Cause is [BL: Recovery Mode is set by key)#
Support SINGLE-SKU
#Manual Mode v1.0.0#
E: Failed to mount /sdcard: no such file or directory
-- Couldn't mount sdcard.
Installation Aborted
When i do it trough adb is say it successful but i get every time on botloop , and i have downloaded the update from different sources.
Updated firmware to BTU: ASJD trough smart switch and then followed the the steps and downloaded the update ZSK3 (it showed directly beta 3) trough the software update from settings, after all done i end up in bootloop again.
Can anyone help with this, i spent my Saturday on this silly thing.
Many Thanks

Did you relocked the bootloader?

[Q] OTA 1.29 won't install

Hey everyone,
Today I received the update to version 1.29.111.11 via OTA, but unfortunately it won't install. After rebooting, the update screen with the green arrows is displayed, but only for about 1 second. After that, the red triangle shows up. The message reads:
Code:
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installation aborted.
I already tried downloading the update several times, a corrupted file can therefore be eliminated as a cause. I also tried manually installing the update via recovery, but then the error is as follows:
Code:
Mount SDCARD failed 1 times
Mount SDCARD failed 2 times
Mount SDCARD failed 3 times
Mount SDCARD failed 4 times
Mount SDCARD failed 5 times
Can not mount SD Card.(No such file or directory)
-- Invalid operation. --
I am on stock rom (T-Mobile Germany), not rooted and with original bootloader (locked) and original recovery.
Maybe some of you have an idea what might be the problem...
i also get this msg trying to update using update.zip please help.have done reset and format no luck

[Q] Bricked, no download mode, odin won't see phone

Hi, I hope some can help me
Here´s my story, the phone is a Galaxy Ace GT-S5830m, that had GingerBread 2x, I wanted to take it to Kit kat 4x, then I downloaded the CWM 6.0.4.6, but, because of my ignorance, I didn't downloaded the KitKat rom file at the same time, I successfully installed the CWM file, but after this the phone won't boot. The only thing it does is:
Enter recovery mode by pressing Volume Up+Home+Power
Show the Samsung logo
But I cannot make it enter download mode, if I hit VolumeDown+Home+Power it just shows the Samsung logo
If I connect it to the PC via USB cable, the PC won't recognize the phone on the USB drivers list. I already downloaded the Samsung USB drivers
When I enter recovery mode I see the four options for
rebbot system now
apply update from sdcard
wipe date/factory reset
wipe cache partition
And below that I see --Appling Multi-CSC --
E:failed to mount /system (Invalid argument)
E:failed to mount /system (Invalid argument)
What can I do? I'm I done? Please help! Thanks!

Hi Raakib, thanks for taking the time to answer! But how can I put the cwm v5 in the phone if the PC doesn't see the phone? Sorry for the basic questions? I'm new in this things. The first time I did this I pluged the phone to the PC and I was able to see the memory card in the windows explorer so I only did a drag and drop, but that doesn't work any more, please advice, thanks!
just do 1 thing download the recovery file on your pc and then plug your sd card using any sort of card reader and then copy the file to memory card . Then insert the memory card in the phone and go to recovery and flash it. Hit thanks.

if u want that your pc should recognize your phone, take it to download mode and see it gets detected in odin or not , if not then swap the drivers maybe upgrade or downgrade.
still no luck

Hi Raakib, just to let you know that I haven't had any luck with this, this is what I have tried, with a memory card reader connect to my PC, because the PC still doesn't see the phone
Using CWM v5.0.2.6 and with that version trying to install the original rom I get this
-- Installing: /sdcard/Downloads/S5830MUMnD1_S5830MTCEND1_TCE.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
Installation aborted.
So my attempt to recover gingerbread was unsuccessful, now, in all honesty I have no idea if I'm using the correct zip file of gingerbread, I mean, I downloaded from the sammobile page and choose the one for my country, but the instructions call for odin and to unzip the fiel, so I don't know if this zip file can just be copied to the SDcard and be unziped with CWM. So CMW needs special rom files different from the ones odin uses?
On my second attempt using CWM 6.0.4.6 to try to install kit kat 4.4 using the instructions from the androidcure website called "How to install Android KitKat on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830", it mentions that I must use cwm v6 and the rom file called cm-11.0.0-RC4-GT-S5830-cooper-PS.zip I get this
-- Install /sdcard/Downloads ...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
This package is for "cooper.GT-S5830" devices: this is a "".
E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
(status 7)
Installation aborted
If I use cwm v5 to try to mount /system (which is permanently un-mounted) I get this
mount: mounting /dev/block/stl9 on /system failed: Invalid argument
W:failed to mount /dev/block/stl9 (File exists)
W:failed to mount /dev/blockstl9 (no such device)
Error mounting system!
The phone still won't go in download mode and is still not visible by the PC
Any other suggestion? Thanks!!!!

I already firgued it out, but tnx for the response.
I bought sd card(didnt have one), did dload method, since normal one approach didnt work i used force update approach(dload moved to sd card, power off, hold vol+ + vol- + power button and it installed) also i needed to flash stock recovery beforehand(so it removes twrp, used fastboot to do it, phone was unlocked, power off connect to PC via usb cable and hold down vol- right away, then flash it through fastboot), it cant do force update with twrp still installed.Once it was done i normally booted to stock rom, phone was no longer unlocked, now i unlocked it flashed twrp and rooted it, everything works just fine.Hope it helps some1 with the same problem.
source: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10-lite/help/original-service-rom-huawei-p10-lite-t3688097 , there is guide thing for both normal and force update
Thank for the help. It gives me a clue but I am still struggling as the force update approach get stuck at 5%. Thanks anyway.

Every time I try to use the update by adb option in recovery mode it reboots my phone

How can I fix this issue :crying:
Oh also I noticed that before rebooting there is a message that says: *Stopping adb*
It happened to me also. Just find a micro sd card and get away from this Samsung weirdo things.
I have the same issue
Also When i update from sd card
It says to me:
Footer is wrong
signature verification failed
Error 21
I have flashed the INS firmeware
I have downloaded the update zip file more then 3 times but same result

Used Pixel 4a 5G can't get OTA update sideloaded. Cannot read zip, can't mount system or sd card, and can't connect to pixel repair tool. Stuck on Jan

Hey All, this is a more specific thread related to this other one:
https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePixel/comments/ufa7o3
My pixel 4a 5g is on the january update and does not find the newer update
https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-install-android-12/
I tried all the steps here including trying to put the zip file in the adb folder, making a full path for the file, etc, but it always says:
PS C:\adb> adb sideload .\bramble-ota-sp2a.220405.003-080c4046.zip
loading: '.\bramble-ota-sp2a.220405.003-080c4046.zip'
* cannot read '.\bramble-ota-sp2a.220405.003-080c4046.zip' *
I put the zip file on the base directory of my phone and tried mounting system but got:
"E: Couldn't Access State File
Mounted System"
I tried use the "install from sd card" but it couldn't find the sd card volume (obv)
I also tried the pixel repair tool at
But it just gets stuck at " Your phone is connected. The tool is checking your phone's software version."
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this without wiping my data or if I really am stuck, how can I fix this?
SOLVED: So it seemed that my solution was that I needed to uninstall and reinstall the stock adb drivers: https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools
