Enabling VoLTE & VoWifi Pixel 4 - Google Pixel 4 XL Questions & Answers

how to enable VoLTE & VoWifi on Pixel 4
My carrier supported VoLTE & VoWifi but not supporting Pixel 4 (Saudi Arabia - STC)
Is there anyway to enable it even by root
BTW: I tried this method *#*#4636#*#* and it showed me the below picture [emoji17]

That's something that you'll have to ask your carrier. People with some US carriers were having issues with both features as well. Some people have it on and some people have it off yet are on the same carrier. It's not a phone issue but a provision on your account by the carrier. Contact them and see if they can turn it on on their end.

i asked my carrier to make sure it is working and they told me it is enable.
i think there is another solution which is by root.

The Pixel is support VoLTE and my carrier also support VoLTE but we need Google push update profile for to support in my country

i want to know as well, in Thailand PIXEL is never officially sale here. Even root witg magisk what i can get is force enable by module setting is already there and i turn on it. Still when i check with 4636 the provision is greyout and info is all unavailable also ims shows no registered. If any dev able to force it via the systems?

I'm on fi and it's not checked.
I'm not sure if it's enabled or not.

Same here, got it with my T-Mobile SIM card.

i just try to work around with guys trying to get it work at pixel2 thread, the dev there successfully created magisk to flash on pixel4 it come out like it should work. The mdn of my (Thailand) carrier is flash to my sytems properly but still the ims is still not provisioned, anyone would go and try to workaround there so that we can get it work
the thread and module is here https://forum.xda-developers.com/pi...le-volte-unsupported-carriers-t3892659/page11
Please try and post result so we can go further. Thanks

Thanks for your result, we might need some more workaround to make it work. May be pixel4 has something different, my guess is may be because of Esim

Hotspot No Root

Can anyone confirm if the method for the Sprint Galaxy Note 4 works on the Sprint Galaxy Note 5? Or if another non-root method works.

A non-root method would be getting the Tmobile one with hotspot built right in

works perfectly. took longer to go through the prompts than it did to talk to the CSR to get the MSL. just asked her for it and she gave it.
Cool thanks.
I use pdanet+ and it will do this
Anyone find a working wifi tether for T-Mobile? Trying to avoid the throttling for hotspot.

On the sprint note 5 there is no hotspot option in settings. On the sprint s6+ edge the option is there...weird

Also trying above methods to get hotspot working are not working on the Sprint 64gb Note 5. Pdanet+ connects via wifi with limited internet access and changing the apn requires no msl # but doesn't seem to change anything since there is not hotspot/tethering option in settings
Edit: confirmed hotspot working 8/22/2015 sprint 64gb note 5 if you are missing hotspot setting in settings do a factory reset
I have two SPRINT Note 5 32GB. I can confirm that the first post works. I did sprint CSR online chat and without any questions was given the MSL for both phones (separate chats). With that I was easily able to follow directions and get Wifi Hotspot on both phones working. Now I need to work on a shortcut app or if possible get the factory hotspot toggles in the menu.
I was able to enter view mode after ##3282# and edit apn settings without need of msl on 64gb note 5
Is there a way to create a shortcut in the quicksettings for the hotspot?

I'm not sure how "VIEW" mode let you "EDIT" and make changes. I sure as hell unable to make any changes in "view" mode. Fore me its like normal. If you go to view everything is grayed out and nothing can be changed. If you go to EDIT it asks for a MSL. But as said that was easy to get.
Anyone tried this on T-Mobile? If so is it eating into tethering data?

If you don't get the answer you need here (as its really new) check the Note 4 forum. This is nothing new or different from previous phones. If the Note 4 (or others) on T-mobile was good you'll be the same on the Note 5. It just enables the stock tethering.

Yes but if they find out phones that have view and edit mode universal and find out that "dun" enables unlimited hotspot they could patch it but i really think that was just supposed to be known to the service provider workers or samsung themselves? Could i have possibly gotten a developer version of the device by accident? If i do an imei check my model comes up G900 Galaxy S 5 WTF!

I'm using T-Mobile in the US and had WiFi calling and VoLTE available on my S8+ but it's not an option on my H8266. Doing some research it would have to be approved by T-Mobile for it to work with either of those and so far the XZ2 is not on the list. I found this information helpful, http://www.spectrumgateway.com/compatible-phones

Thank you for the info. Sony has been ignoring this fact for a while, none of the premium phones work on T-Mobile US VoLTE. It is not a certification matter as Chinese phones such as OnePlus work out of the box with T-Mobile US VoLTE making this very clear a Sony issue.
If you are on T-Mobile USA, you will have very limited coverage due lack of VoLTE support. Please be aware before you making a purchasing decision with Sony phones.
I've volte enabled and i was used previously with other phone but i can't use with xz2. Btw i tried to open phone menu service from dialer but provisioning volte option it's lock also i manually create a ims apn for volte but when i save the apn disappear so i give up.

I just finished chatting with T-Mobile support and received this message: "Alright, I apologize about that brief delay. I spoke with a tech care department. They did confirm that our network will support the device! That's awesome news!"
So, it appears that T-Mobile has certified the device for use on their networks (in addition to which, according to the phonearena . com product info page it supports all necessary bands).
Try to update carrier service apk from apkmirror. Volte still not working for me but i see improvements on signal and wifi switching from mobile data is more fast

I was assured at BestBuy that XZ2 will support VoLTE on T-Mobile. Hopefully, VoLTE will also work on imported phones.
You can also bring up the menu by typing *#*#4636#*#* into the phone keypad.

Note 9 us version on tmobile

Hi guys,
I'm new here and want to get yalls opinion and expertise if the unlocked US version Note 9 will work fully on tmobile network? I got it from b&h photo as it has a lot of freebies (Dex and the new dual charger) plus there's no tax.
No. 1 priority for me is if tmobile band 71 will work on this us version note 9.
Thank you in advance for all your comments and suggestions.
Great question. As far as I can tell, it has Band 71 (600mhz)...
I think TM uses some of the lowest frequencies over other carriers, like their cement drilling band 71....aweosme.
See pic attached.

It will absolutely have Wi-Fi calling and VoLTE. I've had several unlocked phones with them and they all offer both options. T-Mobile is very open to outside devices.

I spoke to a network tech he said it would be available in April. He lied. Sprint purposely disabled the feature to force a new device purchase. If we can hack VOLTE on oreo and not pie its very revealing about their designs
---------- Post added at 07:38 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:16 PM ----------
While we're at it where is the Download Booster?
That's strange
On my Samsung galaxy so note I haven't been able to receive any data to surf the internet or send sms if I am on the call yet it says I have volte enabled??? So why won't it work??? The frustration with Samsung is real......... And sprint...... It says enabled volte provision whatever that means.
i have a unlocked sprint Note 9 & after pie update there is no VoLTE now. (I am trying to use it on JIO network in India).
Is there a way to Install Other Global ROM instead of Sprint ROM so that VoLTE can naturally be activated & not hidden or disabled ?

Messages on my P4XL just let me know chat features are available.
Someone on Reddit figured out how to enable RCS on any Android phone on any carrier!
https://www.reddit.com/r/UniversalP...a2v8r?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
You'll need an app called Activity Launcher: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.szalkowski.activitylauncher
I suggest you turn off WiFi before setup
Steps:
1.) Enroll in Messages Beta and install
2.) Download Activity Launcher
3.) Clear the data of 'Carrier Services' and force stop 'Android Messages.'
4.) Open Activity Launcher
5.) Tap 'Recent Activities,' and in the menu choose 'All Activities.'
6.) Look for 'Messages'
7.) Tap it, then scroll until you find 'Set RCS Flags'
8.) After pressing it select 'ACS Url"' and in the menu select 'http://rcs-acs-prod-us.sandbox google.com/.'
9.) Select OTP Pattern, and in the menu click, YourlsMessenger\sverification\scode\sis\sG-(\d {6}).
10.) Click Apply
11.) Follow setup in Messages. Will take around three minutes.
IT WORKED!!! After several attempts it worked by joining the Google Messages beta program

It also works on older devices. It worked on both my LG V20 and V10.

Working on Verizon.
Working on AT&T on an unlocked Pixel 4xl and unlocked Pixel 3
