Feedback whether good or bad is extremely important to Me and OnePlus, as it is only on the receipt of such information, OnePlus can assess and improve on the software experience, so please don't shy away from sharing your experience.
I always recommend to take backup before you proceed or flash a new build. If this is your primary device you should have everything backed up before you start.
What OnePlus has achieved today is mainly because of its active community and early supporters and OP would like to keep it that way and maintain its focus on the community while building the software to enhance the user experience.
Thank you for your continued feedback and support.

@Funk Wizard posting that here as I believe it is useful information:
In the same way as 7-series, OnePlus 7T Pro has different builds based on region. Note that however there isn't two builds this time but rather three.
HD01BA: European build: default build running on HD1913 device
HD01AA: Indian build (ro.build.version.ota line in build.prop contains letter I and filename of update zips does as well): default build running on HD1911 device
HD01AA: International build (ro.build.version.ota line in build.prop contains letter O and filename of update zips does as well): default build running on HD1917 device
Also please find for post 3 the following download links, md5sums and mirrors of 10.0.4 build (that I posted on my mirror thread)

Okay, first of all hey funk! Reporting for duty with my new McLaren. Phone feels great. Loving it. I just have one issue at the moment with the app locker. It's glitched I think. Any more than two locked apps at the time and the rest won't lock, in the recents menu at least. They just open as if they're unlocked and they act glitched. Most evident with photos and OnePlus gallery.
Also when the backlight goes out the wallpaper appears a bit off

Nice to see you here @Funky Wizard

Thank you, buddy, as always you are spot on.
With the release of the T Series OP now has some regional specific builds for IN region and you have rightly mentioned it here and on your thread.
I shall update the info as shared on the Download Post.
Keep up the good work:highfive:

I tried it on my device which is HD01AA IN version and the locker works fine as it should as I have multiple banking, social media and moderation apps locked.
Also no issue with the wall at my end. I would request you to report the issue with the feedback app along with screenshot and logs and also wait for more McLaren users to confirm the same.
Thank you once again for your feedback :good:

Yeah I know that. I've used a lot of OnePlus phones (3, 5, 6T McLaren) and I know how the app locker works. I'm saying that in this one (McLaren again) the app locker is a bit faulty for me. Let me explain
I keep some apps locked in the recents menu (the lock that makes them stay in the recents and not get killed) and as usual, I also lock a lot of apps with the app locker (banking, Messengers, gallery and photos etc)
The glitch is that sometimes, when I access the recents menu (after I unlock the phone not the app which is still locked) and tap on the app, instead of the usual unlock screen I'm greeted with how I left app before I switched (the last image I was looking at or the album or some page) and the nav bar doesn't work unless I hit the home button.
I thought it was a one-time thing and swiped the app away and it worked again, but it came back after a while. This never happened in any of the earlier phones' app lockers (even 6t McLaren on beta).
I'm willing to do a full reset, but I just wanted to check if this was more than something wrong with just my phone, because setting up again is a bit cumbersome.
@funkwizard, I'm only tagging so that you can see my explanation too man. Sorry if it's not necessary. I'll also try to grab a screen recording of it happening again.
My device is HD1911 btw

We’re really excited to announce that we are releasing our Nougat flavour of Paranoid Android. We have a lot in store - with a mix of both features & improvements.
First & foremost, we have moved our code base to be fully CAF based. This brings many improvements to your device. The key improvement here is that Qualcomm hardware is better tuned on the CAF base and with our additional optimisations we can provide a smooth and fluid user experience that will let you enjoy using your device without any lags.
On first launch you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson who’s teamed up with us again and created several beautiful pieces of artwork. For those of you who don’t know, Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work stands itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We have also added several new features and made improvements to the UI of the system that we believe would enhance the overall experience.
Pie
We’ve been working hard on redesigning this key feature of our portfolio and we’re really happy with how it has turned out. The whole design has been reworked and it fits in well with the overall feel of Google’s Material Design. This gives you the opportunity to use more gesture based control for navigating, rather than using the standard Navigation Bar at the bottom of your screen. Expect improvements and additions in the future.
Color Engine
We’re proud to announce our newest feature - Color Engine. Color Engine allows you to seamlessly change the colors of your device to be in Light, Dark (Pixel) and Black modes with a variety of accent colors to choose from. This makes changing the theme of your device really quick without having to install any extra packages on your device.
Major features:
- Reworked Pie
- Color engine
- Immersive mode
- Buttons customization (including navigation bar)
- On the spot controls (OTS)
Minor features:
- SafetyNet Compatibility
- Battery/Notification LED control
- Recent tasks locking
- Battery icon customization
- Google now page in default launcher
- Substratum (OMS) support (Color engine will be deactivated if you use Substratum)
- Quick pulldown
- Various performance and battery improvements
- Display Burn-in protection (for OLED screens)
- More to explore
Device specific features for OP3(T) (List is being updated):
- Oneplus 3(T) custom camera HAL: Resulting in better picture quality than OEM.
- Implemented custom picture background processing leading to very fast shutter speed (OnePlus 3(T) specific)
- Offscreen gestures
- sRGB support (OnePlus 3(T) specific)
- Alert slider customization
- aptX and aptXHD support
- Specific device performance and battery optimizations (details on this coming)
Note: Custom kernels are explicitly unsupported and will cause issues
unless they state that they are AOSPA compatible or AOSPA based!

After full wipe I flashed this rom, once booted color engine is disabled because "substratrum is being used" (or something similar), but I don't have substratum installed now..
Hello
Did anyone tried with the April bootloader? It works with the old flash method?
I'm asking because i don't have wifi around.

I flashed it with the April bootloader with no issues in terms of loading it. The one problem I had was that Google Camera would crash on loading, but that may have been a gapps issue since it's the first time I actually used opengapps for the pixel.

Went by what the instructions are linking in the OP. Takes you to the OP3T forum using arters TWRP. The file name is for the OP3T so I was a little hesitant to use it. It is a little confusing, no?
For me the adb sideload stops at 35% completion and the ROM doesn't install.
April bootloader with TWRP RC2 installed. Same error with booted TWRP RC1

Taking this shortcut by pointing to installation instructions of an unrelated device is a sure path to bricks! Arters build of TWRP is to enable F2FS filesystem for OnePlus 3/3T devices and *not* for Pixel devices.
I am on latest stock (may security patch), with conflicting reports using twrp rc2, I am staying away from custom ROMs till I see a clear set of instructions or till I read enough to figure that out.

That is kinda of what i was worried about.
I used RC2 flashed PA and ARM64 mini OPEN GAPPS and ROM runs great so far.
Wiped everything except internal storage.
Flashed PA.
Flashed Gapps (first time was a bad download, redownloaded and worked fine).
Flashed TWRP.
Booted rom.
reboots into TWRP fine everytime.
seems to work great, no FC other than the setting app that always closes.:good::good:
Hi guys I don't think arters TWRP is to be used... It's strictly for the OP3T

just in case you don't already know it, when you dirty flash an update of my unofficial builds, you also have to dirty flash your gapps package too.
Only in the official builds the OTA can survive the gapps installation.

Thank you for your understanding.

You need firmware 9.0.0.195 or newer.
Any firmware update since v195 has the same kernel, they are only security patches and minor bug fixes in EMUI 9.
Currently i'm at v270 and everything is fine. If you are already on v195 or newer , there is no reason at all to update to the latest because we only need the kernel, we don't care about the EMUI security patches and fixes.

Sorry I can't test nfc with payments. For file transfer it works.
The problem is that in Greece we are 500 years behind. Until we start using nfc payments here , in other countries people will use aeroplanes instead of cars.
Yes stock camera app of aoscp works. Also Google camera mods work. I don't know about the Huawei camera app, I don't have time to test.
GPS navigation has some issue but I already fixed it and I'm pushing an update.
I also fixed aspect ratio and if you or anybody else finds a bug , report it asap with a logcat.

You can't.
Locked means locked. Sorry.
There is a way to unlock but it needs an algorithm to run and test bits until it finds your unlock code.
And since I don t see many devs here , I don t think that anyone will do that and make this algorithm.
Only if you pay to unlock it.

no problem for pay.
But the real problem is that i don't find nothing in internet.

I don't know. Me I asked for my unlock code as soon as I read that Huawei is going to stop giving codes and I used it when I decided that I want to develop something here.
The only thing , kind of reliable, I found with a Google search is here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20-pro/how-to/bootloader-unlock-service-t3852447
But I don t really know personally if they are reliable.
I hope you can all unlock it and I hope I see some life here soon.
Thanks kessaras for bringing this ROM to the P20 Pro was a big fan on AOSCP CypherOS back on my OnePlus 3 great ROM
This is great GREAT News!!!!
Everything works fine with this rom? NFC? USB C Headphones? Dual Speakers?

Ooooh this looks interesting
Brilliant to see you here.
Awesome work.
Currently using AOSIP which is an Honor view 10 ROM but works for the p20 pro, 8.1 though. Need to update to pie and get this running.
Have you added a tweaks section into the ROM? As in screen off animation, quick settings, status bar tweaks??
Great that this is here though

We don't have a tweaks menu here. Aoscp is pure aosp plus a few and only most important modules scattered in settings accordingly.
And thank you, I hope I see more people unlocking their p20 pro and join us.
I will fix as many bugs I can in p20 pro , but I don't know about our poor TWRP. I know how to fix some minor stuff there but I don't know how to fix the decryption. So that's something I won't touch.

Nah it's cool man, I unlocked mind day one back in may :good:
I haven't jumped over to pie just yet, but I'd be flashing this when I do..
The install process is mental lol, compared to OnePlus / HTC etc.
I only asked about the tweaks add there are some that I quite like and not all ROMs trend to have them.
CRT screen off animation being one of them, pointless but looks superb, disabling a few status bar icons and the built in theming is a given, white looks horrible.
I think so long as you decrypt, twrp should be ok to some extent.

Forget the crt animation. Useless... ?
Wait a few days. I will attempt to fix the TWRP decryption one of these days. I'm syncing today for the first time and build a debug TWRP build.

mate in twrp thread. i don't want to populate the rom thread with OT questions.
The reason is maybe because you are not using the official TWRP for charlotte.
https://eu.dl.twrp.me/charlotte/
if thats not it, then i don't know. Maybe contact me in telegram tomorrow that i will have my hands in a TWRP debug build to give you link to flash it too and then you give me logs.
Until then , if you flash the official and it keeps saying that you have a p8 lite, share your recovery log to @a1Pha or @LuK1337.
The recovery.log will tell us why that happens.

Hey everyone ! Thanks a lot for the help !
Turns out, the TWRP mod from Petronario80 is not compatible with this zip! Used the twrp-3.2.3-4-charlotte.img from the official website, and I was good to go !

Quote below from a Reddit thread, I haven't seen it myself. I updated to OB12 and haven't had any problems yet.
It seems that OnePlus has stopped the rollout for OB12. We're keeping the download links available, however, if you still choose to install it. Note: they likely stopped the rollout due to major issues, so please proceed with the utmost caution. The only reason we're keeping the download available is so that enthusiasts can try it out. But for the majority of our users, we recommend not updating.

unfortunately it is too late and I have already updated. Italian users did not write that it was necessary to remove the code before installing this beta 12 version. Now I have my device locked, I entered the code 20 times but it is wrong.
Besides, I have never had any problems and I have not backed up.

Important: regarding Open beta 12 for the Oneplus 7/7 pro
In some cases, it appears that OB12 has crucial problems related to device security, preventing you from unlocking your device. I recommend not installing this update until further notice.
What if I installed the update already?
If you installed the update, and everything is working. Do not reboot and wait for an update.
If you installed the update, and you cannot unlock your device. You can either wait for an update that fixes the issue, or wipe your device using recovery mode
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE BUG BUT DID UPDATE TO OB 12 DO NOT REBOOT THE DEVICE OR YOU MIGHT GET THE BUG AS WELL
Just found this regarding this update, update on your risk as mentioned above major issue with the update.

To prevent from the discribed issues with open beta 12 - when you are flashing via twrp - after you booted into twrp, first thing to flash is dfe(disable force encryption), then open beta, then twrp installer; after that reboot to twrp, flash magisk, reboot to System, enjoy..
Anyone got a fast mirror?
Seems like official link gets stuck just as Oxygen Updater.
I updated to B12 through Oxygen updater (op7pro eu), and so far it looks great. I don't know was it on the changelog, but they did change the taskbar icons a bit. They looks bit thicker and more round. I like them how they look, but I fear they will likely cause a burn in easier than the old icons. I hope that's not the case.
Stock phone (no bootloader unlocked, no modifications) updated to OB12 with no problems, except the first boot that made me worry a bit.
Luckily I'm good with it (and I installed it before the rollouts was stopped).
Still need to check all the changes: until now everything is fine and smooth.

Install directions: https://wiki.pixelexperience.org/devices/fajita/install/
Summary of install:
1) Install adb and fastboot drivers
a) enable usb debugging
c) adb reboot bootloader
d) fastboot devices
Just to check you can see the fastboot
e) fastboot oem unlock <------ erases all your data! proceed past this point at your own peril!
2) adb reboot bootloader
3) fastboot boot recovery recovery.img (from twrp I use)
4) for me, now it was just install zip from either adb sideload or adb push
5) reboot phone and installed.
The link before all of this has more details.

Aha, taking our first steps into compiling and releasing.. Exciting stuff! And a grand learning experience. Let's start by making the download link... Well, downloadable. You've currently shared a link to an unshared file in your drive. You need to create a share link first. Always test your download links in por.. Eh, incognito mode before releasing. And look into other hosting options that provide more stability such as AFH.
Next on the priority list is adding a link to the kernel source. This is very important for us not to get into any legal trouble as we must comply with GPLv2 in that respect.
Take a look at the other ROM threads to get more familiar with the desired structure. Mostly the bottom parts are important. Like giving credit to those that made your release possible and version information.
Also, you may want to explain what this is (see other PE threads), how people must flash it and notify of any known issues/limitations, if any. Add a disclaimer perhaps, you just never know.
We'll get there together because we're an awesome community like that

I've seen PE rom on a few past devices I've owned and it really does seem like something happens. The dev either disappears or something else. lol.
Hoping our Pixel Experience guy will stay around and just keep everything cool with the mod(s). ??
I used this build from the ops second post with the Drive link the other day and it was solid. I always return to Corvus nowadays. PE is a beast though! I've had PE+ on my other device for 6+ months. It always makes me wish I had a Pixel again which will eventually happen once I slowly gather enough funds for one thanks to covid-19. ?

Sadly, I am not very well versed yet. Best I can do.
1) Unlock bootloader
2) boot into fastboot
3) do the "fastboot boot RECOVERIMAGENAME.img

known Issues: (Check comment 69 for some fixes)
-90Hz Gaming does not work in certain games
-Always on display does not show notifications for certain apps and cannot change from power saving to other modes*
-Android Auto may not work without root*
*these issues are due to the fact that this is a mainland Chinese ROM and Google services were not intended to work fully in the first place
I will try to answer the questions I can answer.
Patch notes are attached.

Which Color OS Closed Beta version was this build? Also is there a button for local upgrade because when I used versions F.09 and F.11 of closed beta for HD1910, the local upgrade disappeared for me and I had to use MSM Tool to revert to Oxygen OS 11 to reinstall the open beta.
This is not beta version.

Sorry I thought said you were on F.07 ColorOS 12 not hydrogen OS 11. It should be fine if you updated from hydrogen OS but you need to update to the latest version which is H.29 not H.07.
Sorry my be I explained wrong. I've installed this in April from techibee. Here is about screenshot.
My be its based on hydrogen? I dont know.
Is it from this post:
https://techibee.in/coloros-12-1-for-oneplus-7-7-pro-7t-7t-pro-download-close-beta-of-coloros-12-1/
Either way, I recommend doing a clean installation, because you're going from closed beta to open beta.

Exactly download from this cite. Can U help with clean installation? With steps! Thank U.
I just installed it, it's very smooth & fast, thank you very much!
I've noticed a bug, in the Always-On-Display, the app's icons do not appear, I guess it's not a big deal.
Thank you again.

First, Always do a backup of everything on your phone(Settings > System Settings > Backup and Reset > Backup > Local Backup) and then transfer the backup from phone to PC.
Next, download an MSM Tool from this thread, preferably the latest Oxygen OS one:
Thread '[OP7TPRO][OOS HD01AA | HD01BA] Unbrick tool to restore your device to OxygenOS' https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/op7tpro-oos-hd01aa-hd01ba-unbrick-tool-to-restore-your-device-to-oxygenos.4002909/
and follow instructions to clean install.
If there are issues with screen rotation after clean install, check this thread:
Thread '[Fix] How to fix Rotation Bug when you roll back from colorOS 12.1 to oxygen os 11' https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/fix-how-to-fix-rotation-bug-when-you-roll-back-from-coloros-12-1-to-oxygen-os-11.4448267/
Finally, update to the latest Oxygen OS 11 through OTA, and follow the instructions in my post.
When you boot into ColorOS you can restore using phone clone by copying the backup files back onto your phone, and that's all.

Yep, there are known issues with the Always on display in both the open betas of ColorOS and OxygenOS 12.1 for the OnePlus 7T Pro, developers are working to fix for next patch, maybe in a few weeks.
Also, Oppo has confirmed that stable ColorOS 12.1 for OnePlus 7T Pro will come sometime in August but no specific date.

Truth. On my op7tpro HD1913 EU it works great and this version of IN has unlocked call recording regardless of the region
It is also not true that before installing this open beta rom, you need to update the phone to the latest version of Oxygen 11. I installed it on Oxygen 10.0.14 and did the data format in recovery after installation.
I made debloat - ADB commands - XDA there is a threat easy to find.
Plus AdbAppControl for Win.
Link for info:
System now is very light and smooth
I also on op7tpro HD1913 EU.

All you had to do to get the local update back in the settings was to enable developer options. And flashing closed beta 1 to open beta 1 worked like a charm
