First, support unlock models

Second, matters needing attention (important !!!)
[BL unlock must meet the following conditions]
1. The number of unlocked users has not reached the upper limit of the quota (the limit is 1000 units / month / model);
2. Must be realme X2, realme X2 Pro, realme X2 Pro master version purchased through regular channels in mainland China
[BL unlocking instructions]
1. Unlockable effects on the phone may occur after unlocking;
2. The third-party firmware may cause some functions of the mobile phone to fail to operate normally, such as the unavailability of camera functions, and may cause damage to the device;
3. It may cause the leakage of private personal information on the mobile phone;
4. After unlocking, the system upgrade will be affected, and users cannot receive subsequent updated versions of the system OS;
5. After unlocking, the phone status is equivalent to restoring the factory settings, and all user personal data will be emptied. It is recommended to back up the data in advance;
6. After unlocking, for security reasons to prevent user privacy leakage, the independently encrypted fingerprint chip will be disabled, and users cannot use the fingerprint unlock function;
7. After the mobile phone is rooted, if necessary, you can contact the realme service center to assist in flashing the machine. If you can flash back the official version, it will not affect the warranty status of the mobile phone, but you cannot enjoy the return and exchange service; If the hardware of the mobile phone is faulty, it will not be covered by the warranty.

So realme has no solution for the fingerprinter issue.

A week ago I purchased a MI5. I'm on MIUI 8.1.2.0 global stable ROM.
Actually it feels like a prisoner without having root access on my device. So I need to root it ASAP.
The problem begins here. I need to unlock the boot loader first. I just heard that after MIUI 7.5 Xiaomi refuses all the unlocking request from stable ROM. Then how can I unlock my bootloader ?
Can anyone give me a tutorial of unlocking bootloader of MI5 running MIUI 8.1.2.0 Global | Stable ?

I can't post links yet, but do a search on google for "mi devices bootloader unlocking faq". Click on the first link from the search result. There should be enough info on that page to get you started.

for the unlock procedure start from here: http://en.miui.com/unlock/
...with a working MIUI account (on your phone) you make the request, and the waiting time will be from 1 day to xyz days.
Two advices: 1) in the "why you want to unlock" put the real reason and do not do a copy&paste because refusal from xiaomi is -in such cases- possible; 2) set up your 64bit computer with the proper drivers (windoze is a b####).
Note: Sometimes the sms will not arrive (carrier problems), so check the unlock software to see if you are good to go.
For the flashing guides and roms here: http://en.miui.com/download-299.html
And here is the english forum of the miui: http://en.miui.com/forum-92-1.html
So, while you are waiting for the approval, do a search here on xda and there on miui for the best practice to do what you need.

Can't root my Mi5
Did you manage to root your phone?
I have the exact same situation, where I managed to unlock my phone by I still don't have root. There is security app does not have the "root access" option in the "permissions" menu
I tried flashing the the latest miui global dev rom as explained here en.miui.com/thread-267361-1-1.html, but I get a "Can't verify update! You're allowed to flash the newest develop version published by miui from stable version only" message.
Hi huys, if u didnt get the official Ota update you can forceit! I find this solution on someones blog, already did it and everything it works great!
Enable OEM unlock in developer options
Make sure you have 4GB free space on phone

Download latest Hisuite from official huawei website
Open huawei updater, tick in custom rom, in custom rom version type VNS-L21C432B336

Then tick custom port, don’t change it. Now pres start
Now connect your phone with pc and make sure Hisuite recognizes and connected properly. then just open Hisuite menu and change network settings as shown in image below.

it should start downloading and installation will complete, don’t disconnect phone.

Install app "in depth test"attached, start applying,
After 7 minutes click query verification status, it will boot to fastboot mode, check status should pass. Keep pressing volume- and power button till it reboot to normal..
1..For unlocking bootloader
2..Download Realme6i_rooting.zip, extract, open CMD here..
3..Enter fastboot mode using adb command through pc (adb reboot bootloader).
4..Type fastboot flashing unlock in ADB
5..Select yes(vol +-) on your device to unlock bootloader
6..Type fastboot reboot
7..Type adb reboot bootloader after boot( check usb debugging should on)
8..Type fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
9.. Type fastboot flash boot boot.img
NOW YOU HAVE ROOTED YOUR REALME 6i successfully

To conclude,
Realme 6s and Realme 6i India are pretty similar except for their names. Realme 6i India was announced on July 24, 2020.
Realme 6i Global was announced on March 17, 2020 and is inferior to 6i India in terms of features.
Can someone please send me an actual in depth test apk for this phone? The attached file doesn't even contain an app.
To try and clear up the confusion Oppo made with the Realme 6 phones.

Don't ever try it on RMX2040. It's clear that this hack is for RMX2002

Hello, i tried to install official ROM(V12.5.4.0.RKAMIXM_20210611.0000.00_11.0_global) on Mi 11 Ultra through MiFlash 2020.3.14.0 by using clean all and lock, because i wanted the phone to be in the locked state for some bank programs. But the ROM wasn't installed and the device is locked now. The problem is then i try to use miflash_unlock-en-5.5.224.24 i am getting this error message - you are unlocking a special device which should do with special permissions.
Does anyone has any idea how to bypass it ?

Hey, I'm currently wondering about leaving my Samsung Galaxy S9 running on LineageOS 18.1 behind and invest into more up-to-date hardware.
The Oppo Find X5 Pro catches my interest.
However, I'd want to switch to custom ROMs at some point, latest by the end of its update support and possibly root the device.
Considering this, would the Find X5 Pro still fit my needs?
Currently Bootloader Unlock is not possible. Maybe after three months...
Try to get to fastboot is hard . So far i figured out how to get to fastboot.
Run cmd from either Adb/fastboot folder or Adb from platform tools .
run the command:
adb devices
next run :
adb reboot bootloader
while it reboots hold the down volume and power.
it put into fastboot. After that Im lost. Thats as far as I got.
I cant read Chinese
If a phone is not rootable or custom rom possible etc - NO BUY!

I came to the same conclusion. The release offers coming with all that extra stuff such as watch, wireless charger and protector seemed to be a good deal.
Especially, when my current phones battery struggles a lot, front camera issues came up and sometimes people I'm calling feel uncomfortable with extra noise.
Though, usually I'm someone who uses their phone for the extra mile. Knowing that Oppo is as restrictive toward a custom roms, protected me from making a not thought through gut decision.

After i get into the " you have entered fastboot " no matter what button combination i do... it will either just reboot or reboot to recovery
To unlock bootloader of OPPO phone, we need to use "Deep Testing" apk to request approval from OPPO, but there's no such apk for Find X5 Pro yet.
I'm OPPO Product Ambassador and asked OPPO to release it, but they replied their developer is not interested in it.

Thats just wrong. I think once you pay out right for phone @ 1600.00 Canadian. You should be able to open bootloader. I would never of bought it and will tell everyone not to buy a Oppo product....buy Oneplus

I'm not sure if its device specific but this one seems to be working on Realme GT2 Pro which has at least the same OS and SOC. Probably worth a look.
Unlocked Bootloader?
This device finally seems like a worthy buy if one wants to go into the Samsung ridden 4nm fabrication 8 gen 1 CPU. Best temperatures and lowest throttling of all phones with that chip. One can only hope if Realme releases it with an unlocked...

Not possible, I tried but it didn't proceed for applying.
It didin't work on China version of Find X3 too, so maybe it's only for realme.

Tried ... Tool_All_IN_One.
works good on oppo fx5 pro...can reboot to recovery...boot to fastboot for a second... can boot to EDL

I tried to download ...deep testing..apk ..oppo find x5 pro wont even let you install...Maybe its a Color OS thingy...or oppo thingy....phone is not worth to buy...just saying

There are several versions of the deep testing APK in the internet, the official one for the realme gt 2 pro can be installed but you can not submit your application:

Maybe it's related to the version of my phone (Europe) and changing this would help but I couldn't test it out yet:
