ROM flashing sim locked phone

Hi,
Can I flash an unbranded stock ROM on my Note 8 before I do the sim unlock via code? The code takes several hours to arrive, and I could setup my phone until then, but I do not know if there is any problem in flashing the unbranded firmware before it is sim unlocked.
Thanks

SM-N950F. Vodafone branded and I want to flash European unbranded ROM.
I saw a post on sammobile since Galaxy S4, where one got a reply that before flashing the unbranded ROM he should sim unlock it first...old situation, but just want to be sure

Galaxy S20 FE 5G Bootloader Unlock

Though carrier and bootloader unlock are different subjects, if an S20 FE 5G is Samsung *FACTORY* carrier unlocked, can I assume its bootloader is therefore unlockable? If it is, where can I get the unlock code? Bestbuy, for example, is offering this phone with both carrier unlocked and locked versions, https://www.bestbuy.com/site/search...rue&iht=y&usc=All+Categories&ks=960&keys=keys
Further, can I assume if a model is carrier locked, then the bootloader cannot be unlocked to enforce the carrier lock?
My objective is to root the phone and also install TWRP. I have no plans to switch my carrier, T-Mobile, and thus a model locked to T-Mobile is fine as long as its bootloader can be unlocked since a carrier-locked one is cheaper.
My understanding is S20 FE 5G is based on the Snapdragon processor. Some have claimed Snapdragon is impossible to unlock the bootloader, but I assume they mean you can't do it if Samsung doesn't allow it. Unfortunately, I simply can't find a Samsung site where they would give out bootloader unlock code for approved models.
No you can't not unlocked the boot loader I went with unlocked version bc of bloat software on carrier phones you will never get to unlock the bootloader

Sim Unlock T-Mobile

I bought a device not knowing it was carrier lock to T-Mobile I live in Vietnam I'm unable to use my current sim card with it I am very familiar with flash and custom roms unlocking bootloaders on chami devices is there any way that this device can be converted from being a paperweight into a device that can be used with a non t mobile sim card
wait you said 70 dollars for unlock but that's what a bootloader unlock costs, what about an online SIM unlock ? that can't be 70 dollars too.
