Hi ALL,
I know this is Galaxy S I9003 Android Development but since we do not have saperate Section I am posting here.
I have Two issues
1. I have selected "None" for Screen lock in Settings-> Location and Security. still i see this ( <<<<<xxxxxx>>>>> ) type of screen lock some time after time out. I want to remove this. My phone is rooted and on XXKB33.
2. I usally set Screen Time out at 15 Seconds. It automatically goes to 1 Minute.. What can be the issue.? I use LockMenu Where i have set time out as 15 secs.
can anyone pls help me resolving these?

For the first issue the only way to change the lockscreen to default android lockscreen is to modify system files... look at my other post with vanilla lockscreen.....

I'm using 'lock menu ' as default screenlock. Now I've to unlock screen twice whenever I use my phone.
Anyways Will try this vanilla screen lock.

Here you can not deactivate the screen lock. You can only change security settings like password, PIN or pattern lock. If you select none, you will not be asked to input any of those after sliding the screen to open it. But lock screen will still be there.
lockscreen wallpaper
hi! i'm new. i just want to ask, how do i even activate my lock screen? rephrasing that, do i even need to activate my lockscreen for samsung i9003?
i constantly use a picture for my lockscreen wallpaper but then nothing shows up when my screen locks. it's just pitch black. do i need a widget for this?

Well guess this is a noobish Q! Well my sgsl doesnt lock :-( happened only after I installed backups from TI; now it doesnt Even show the lock screen! Anyone have any idea bout it? Help appreciated! Tried the patter lock too still it fails to lock!

The responsability of screen lock is android.policy.jar and framework-res.apk... maybe try to restore again that files... one question... have you tried app from market that enable lock screen like: screen off and lock? (I'm not sure about the correct name). Another question.... but the lock-unlock button works?

I applied from the default stock Indian fw! And yeah I did try the few apps from market called lock screen it seems to work only at times!!! :-( and no the power on/off button only turns off screen but doesn't lock!

Hello everyone.
My friend can't find where to turn off the pattern lock screen on his handset.
He just wants the swipe unlock back.
I've searched around but can't seem to find the answer.
Anyone who can help will be much be much appreciated.

Settings>Location & Security>Set up screen lock> Choose None.

I can not activate swipe to unlock in security. Beacuse that option is deemed along with no lockscreen.

I am really trying to make a task where the screen unlocks and goes directly to home once it has matched my face using face unlock. I'm sorry if this is a noob question because I'm new to this... Plus I'm running Oreo if that comes to any help.

Install any Tasker app
Install any Tasker app that lets you task anything on your phone. By this process you can task the system to go into the home screen as soon as the system detects the face.
Auto input has a way to do this directly. Just turn on the Auto dismiss key guard option and configure face unlock
I confirm. Autoinput works on 7 and 8.

When my screen is locked and I am trying to unlock it, my phone shows an open lock (seems to recognize my face).
I then can swipe up to see my homescreen but there I can't do anything.
I have to press the lock icon again to unlock my phone using my fingerprint

Try changing your default launcher.
