What are these dark hole like things in between the camera module of the device? - Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Questions & Answe

I assume that these are some sort of sensors to help assist the camera with focus and what not (camera noob here)?
My main question is, should this not be covered while taking photo/video?
The thing is that I recently bought this camera protector and now that I have applied it on my phone, I see that it covers those two holes with black bezels. Is this something to be concerned about?

I guess I should get it uncovered in that case. Thanks. :good:

In my experience, most camera protectors don't interfere with the laser focus, but if you notice any changes in speed or focus ability then definitely remove it ;3

[Q] Changing The Bezel.

Anybody messed around with this? Seen if it would be possible to attach a custom bezel? Maybe something smaller and more black or glossy to appear more like a typical tablet?
I don't see any reason for it not to be able? As long as you fabricated the exact design just with different material?

Ya, I could see how youd be right about this, my only concern would be if any of the hardware is attached to the front bezel in any way.
check this picture
It looks like the metal parts might be held by screw but the bottom plastic piece where the N button is seems to be plastic welded on. I can't zoom in far enough to tell for sure.

Dust under front facing camera

So my note 4 has magically attracted dust under the camera. It's quite obvious and annoying. A big black spot.
Any suggestions? I tried opening it but way to much work.

You think opening it is too much work? It's pretty easy to open, there's just a little excess adhesive on the four corners (from where the middle frame doesn't cover the LCD). I'd just open it and use some compressed air, if I were you.

Cleaning the camera lens with toothpaste
Hi tracer123, you tried to clean the camera lens with toothpaste?,
I have the same problem with my z1, and i found a tutorial for fix that, but i didn't tried if it works yet.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z1/general/tut-clean-camera-lens-getting-blurry-t3169539
Some users says that this solution works, but be caution, a comment in the thread says this:
"Be cautioned, though. Removing the coating will affect your night shots. Pictures with lights (car headlights, streetlamps) will noticably be worse since the coating is to cut the glares that came in the lens."
At least you can try, maybe i will try to clean my camera lens in a couple of days.

Question Visible diagonal strip from top right corner is this normal? (back of S21U silver)

Hello
I didn't notice it before as since I bought my s21 Ultra it has been in a cover, it's an Exynos Silver one, on the back starting from the top right corner there is a visible line or strip about 1.5-2mm wide and 2cm long, same color as the rest aka silver but it's visible because there is a tad of relief
Is this normal? Is it an antenna?
Or it's a bad paint job under the glass?
It's not easy to take in photos, I tried my best, you can see it faintly in this photo

Might be a production issue.
I have the black one, and the corners are not perfect either, look like the colouring process was not consistent.
I personally am not bothered with that, but I suppose only a replacement would fix that.

Look how big the punch hole is.
Maybe they used a different camera module in front?
Kinda inferior to the original one with smaller punch hole.
Are you sure it's not a dark circle around it? When I unlock the phone, for a few seconds I have your same situation. Afterwards it's regular. Perhaps a software error?
