Don't believe in those claim. If a battery is indeed 4800 mAh, it would be so thick that it wouldn't fit in.
If the manufacturer could make a 4800 mAh battery same size as Mi8 3400 mAh, that manufacturer would be such a genius, and would not be spending time selling on aliexpress. Big companies will pay them big time already, lol.
Where did you buy the phone? If you have a Xiaomi Service Centre in your country, the fee for changing an original battery is incredibly small price. Worth checking it out.

Mugen 1800mah battery

Stock battery physical size, 300mah extra, the Xperia X10 & Xperia Play share the same battery
I prefer Seidio over Mugen but Seidio does not seem to support Sony Ericson devices.
I emailed their office to see if they will make a back for the Xperia Play for their 3600mah battery listed below, I got them to at least forward the request to their R&D department.
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...ed-replacement-battery-with-battery-door.html
Certainly would buy a 3600mah battery, don;t think i'd buy the 1800mah though, maybe when the stock battery gets old after some years.
I much admit I would like a larger battery.
3600 may not be my choice, current xperia play is abit thick... dont want to add on to the back..
highly consider 1800 as it can keep the same size...
but agree with svenk919, will get it when the stock batt is dead

official 3600 mah extended battery with back from mugen-power
are ou tof your mind?!
you guys are crazyy! you are paying so much for such stupid battery and it makes the device look like ****. I say go on ebya and buy 2 of those fake but okay batteries that look jus like the original one and work 75% of the original one. they come with a charger and you can charge phone and an extra battery together. it costs 1/5 of wat you are buying!
although i kno its not fun to open the back panel!
here is one:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/2x-BST-41-Batter...ccessories&hash=item2eb54d88bf#ht_1261wt_1082
or you can get this 5000mah battery that looks good too. u can use it for other phones and stuff as well. ~ even this one is cheaper than that stupid badlooking battery!
http://cgi.ebay.ca/5000-mAh-Externa...Accessories&hash=item2a104b6470#ht_5535wt_849
No sane person is going to carry around an external brick to save money. Additionally, most of us who want a bigger capacity battery don't LIKE carrying additional accessories. I mean, lets be honest. If the 5000mah battery was really an option, I would probaby carry my PSP and a thinner android device around instead. And seriously, 100$ for a 2.5x capacity battery is par for the course. Im not saying that I think thats a fair price, Im just saying, people are prepared to pay setting market value. Not every decision for every person hinges around cost.

Insane battery - should I take the risk?

They are a total con.
100% not 2400mAh
100% not made in Japan
100% Li-ion not polymer, don't know why like quoting Polymer as polymer in this design cell would have lower charge density !
100% guaranteed bull****
100% waste of your money
DO NOT SUPPORT THESE LYING SCUM
At best will be close to standard mAh
At worst 900 to 1100mAh
Either buy physically bigger high capacity cell or a cheap Andida or Tekcomm standard size replacement as they perform well for the money.

Thanks for the heads up
If you do decide to buy it when you get it just test the batteries mah with a very good battery app found off the market.
I bought two for $8 that said it was 1350mah only to find out it was 1250mah. If its not what its supposed to be open a case
against the seller and get your money back. Even if its only 2000mah you should still see an improvement over the stock
battery.
My only problem is it may seem to charge a slight bit slower then the stock battery but i love having a total of three batteries.
I'm able to keep a spare in my car just incase (may need to change since its getting warmer out) as well as if i know i'll be on
my cell a lot that day i can bring a spare along with me while keeping the third one at my house to charge.
batt
I have to recharge it almost twice a day...
dont buy this fake batteries, you waste your money like Mister B told

[TIP]:Use only original Batteries.

There may be many batteries in the market but only factory made ones sustain the level of the needs of the phone. If you so damn angry with your battery life and choose to buy a higher mAh battery i would say its a bad idea..cause many china makers just use lower quality cell and prepare a battery and label it with higher mAh capacity sticker..so you lose your precious hard earned money on a fake cheap battery and soon you spoil your phone board and the result your phone may get DEAD.And duplicate batteries have faster discharging rate due to low grade cells in it.This is why apple iphones comes with a batteries that cannot be taken from the phone..Better you spend money on spare battery from original manufacturer so you get a good battery backup for longer time. And the +point is you get warranty. So no fear..I have made this post to help the people buy original batteries cause rest are peace of ****.Do you want **** on your phone??
Enjoy ANDroid Experience with original batteries.

I am fullly satisfied with my Chinese replacement batteries. They don't last as long as the original one though, but it is still okay. (Their capacity is about 25% less compared to the original one).
Using them with an external charger, I have always two batteries which are fully loaded.
I use them for a half year everyday, altenating with the original one. Nothing happened so far and I absolutely doubt that they could harm my phone. The only difference is, as mentioned, that they have a little bit less capacity.
To claim that chinese batteries could destroy a phone, is just speculation. If so, it could happen with an original battery too, since they are also from china and most probably made in the same cheap factories.

Agreed. Most of the batteries - and Boards are made in China. So, we cannot take it for granted that Chinese battery would destroy your phone - though they have bad reputation.
P.S: I read in an article a little while ago that the battery used in iPhone is also made in China (Guanzhou I think). The good part by Apple Inc is that they have not revealed to the manufavturers where these are being used since they have middle men in between and manufacturers never know where their prodicts go... // I didnt agree to this though, but the article said so.. Just Sharing..

I might agree on the statement if we consider noname chinese batteries which are being stamped without any precautions or testings and sold on Ebay for couple of bucks. That is true that they might be of a very low quality.
But if we talk about branded batteries such as Seidio or Mugen, which offer quality and a good customer support and just see the feedback and test results found also on XDA. for instance I have been testing 1600mAh model for G Ace and its originally almost 25% more mAh than stock battery but it actually supplies about 35% longer performance. And manufacturers claim it will have 400-600 solid lifecycles compared to 200-400 lifecycles that original stock batteries supply.
Secondly mobilephone device manufacturers have no interest whatsoever to supply an ultimate device for users to last forever, and stock battery is a great compromise to save some money, and attract users to change they phones more frequently. This puts stock batteries under some doubts as well.
I wouldnot be so dogmatic about stock batteries supremacy..

So you recommend that battery? What do you think about this one? I'm about to order one so your opinion is worth a lot right now.
BTW; your link is down and I can't find it anywhere else. I think the website is having problems. But still though, please tell me your opinion.
Exactly we have to always used the original battery. This make our mobile phone life longer.
even if u say that, its hard to find battery made from non-cheap-mass-labour country....
aint saying chinese batteries are all horrible, but from ur statement it would be hard to find one....
Is Mugen made-in-china too?
Agreed!!!
I agree from personal experience.
Bought a 1 year old HTC phone, bought 2 Chinese higher capacity battery at eBay.
Both Chinese batteries swelled after a few months of use. Original HTC battery almost 3 years old now and still working fine!
Better get a reputable battery like the ones felllow members recomend.

Well, i think the best form of taking advange of your battery is charging the battery from 0.

OMG that capacity is awesome and the price?! Sounds way to good to be true, what could happen in worst case, I mean when u say: original or genuine or safe ?
even im not sure wt if it screws up our phone
My stock battery was getting ridiculous, if I get up at 7am and unplug the phone off the charger, the battery will be pretty much dead by 2pm (<20%).
So last week I picked up HLI-S710EXL from Mugen Power. (You need to go search it on their webiste, I can't post link due to newbie status)
I was hesitant at first because the phone could become bulky due to the extra thickness, but now I'm actually holding the phone better as the extra thickness sits right in the centre of my palm, creating a more natural grip.
Battery life is extended significantly, by the time I go to bed around midnight, usually there is still 35% left in the tank.
I know the price is a bit steep, but I think it's well worth the money, especially if you are not about to purchase a new phone in the near future. I'd totally recommend it.
i found battery 2450 in stock size on aliexpress.
hesitant to buy a new batterly
I'm also looking for a new battery.... but hesitant because I also seeking for the next phone...

If you want to buy some cheap but high quality HTC batteries online, I think you need to try the Everbuying.com.
Truth about batteries is, the manufacturer has already installed the highest capacity battery possible for the physical dimensions of the battery. I've purchased them gold batteries and many other( higher capacity rated for the same physical size) batteries and they seem to be a tad better than original battery for a few weeks but then quickly diminish in capacity to a point way below your stock battery. If you want more mAH from a battery to fit into inc s you must look into extended batteries where the physical size of the battery has been increased. A word of warning too with all these cheap batteries is that most if not all of them have no inbuilt thermal protection circuitry and therefore the posibility exists of thermal runaway caused by batteries being charged when they are too hot to be charged- eg hot summers day in a car...

Mugen Power 4600 mah and 2500 mah batteries for ZR

So while randomly trawling the Internet for accessories for the ZR, I stumbled on this.
Mugen Power has come up with two batteries for the zr. The 4600 mah version comes with a battery door of course, while the 2500 mah one promises to fit into the existing back cover but for $44, doesn't quite make sense to spend that much money on a battery that will give you 9% more battery life.
I thought about getting the 4600 mah battery (deliveries begin in the first week of September) but two things held me back:
1. Will the new back door support nfc and the waterproofing? Not sure about this. The website doesn't have any proper images.
2. The phone looks like a whale.
What do you guys think?

I think it's have to look like a whale bro.., its still a 4600 mAh battery
For the waterproofing, i saw a video on YouTube of the mugen power batteries of the Xperia V, which he's design similar to the ZR, n they say the back cover they provide with the battery is keeping on the waterproof feature, n water can't get inside..
So u don't need to afraid man.. otherwise u can get one of this n be careful not to be around water..
Still here
N!geR -> E!ch0
I am at one step for make this purshase, and I have the same questions...
Does anyone tasted it? working nfc and waterproof?
Thanks for your answers
I had the Mugen-battery to my Xperia V and I was truly disappointed about the door.
It could fall off in my pocket without any reason.
The sealing looked like original but I couldnt rely on the waterproof quality.
The battery itself worked as expected!

They should make something like a 3000mah that doesn't look like your phone swallowed another one. I could live with a 2-3cm more but this is ridiculous.
Also something like this will be much more good looking.

I went by how fast the battery % it fell. the 2800mah(niking-niking) for $5 is still pretty good for the price considering the capacity is slightly less than the original battery(probably 2200~2300).
Avoid this battery...
There are too many bad, cheap batteries being sold. I decided to buy one just for the sake of it and it performed horribly. It came in a sealed plastic wrap with the "BA950" word and an Android logo, nothing else. The battery was made really poorly. The wrap is made of paper (yes, paper) and the specs don't match the real capacity. My phone turned off at about 55% every time and the charging time was 90 min. It has a Sony Ericsson logo :silly: and an "A&J" sticker (brand?) on the back and a very bad SONY one on the front. It costs 5 bucks, but believe me, you don't want to buy it. Save those bucks for a better battery instead. You have been warned
