accidentally deleted all the system files on twrp without making back up[RealmeX2pro] - Realme X2 Pro Questions & Answers

i accidentally deleted the whole system and every other files on the device and i haven't made a backup i can only get twrp working and had tried to install various ozip files from twrp which ended up with error 7.

If you still have twrp just install the stock rom then get back to stock recovery and wipe data to format the rest of the storage and you will be back to stock.

Tried installing that already but it shows up error 7 msg
Also converted the ozip to zip and changed the file to remove device names
Still doesn’t work

Did you use the chinese twrp from this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/realme-x2-pro/how-to/guide-unlocking-bootloader-to-getting-t4010189
I was able to install the stock ozip just fine with it.

Worked finally
But itried locking bootloader and it caused a bootloop and now i cannot access bootloader and the device isn’t showing up in fastboot.

Why would you try to re lock the bootloader while you were trying to unbrick it. I think you seriously need to read more about what can brick the phone and plan out each step if it isn't already too late.

Locked bootloader
Stuck in the same situation at the moment, if you find a way to unbrick please let us know.

I don't really know what happened, did you successfully flashed kdz?
Where did you get it from? Here?: http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=15
Try to flash one of these (choose correct one for you)
Than you have to install recovery again.
But before that you can try to wipe /system, /data, /cache and then flash CM11 (I know it works without problems)
And I recommend you these Gapps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942

I think you should try with CWM first, get it: http://download2.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.4.5-p880.img
you can flash it with this app if you are rooted: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cgollner.flashify
then you can download CM11 from here: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=p880
and gapps from last mine post
and then boot to recovery, do factory reset and wipe /system, then flash rom and gapps.
Hope it helps
Crash After Flash OTA Vanir 5.0
I had a similar experience. I was installing OTA latest update of Vanir...not realising that it was 5.0...a screen came up telling me that it needed to flash another recovery...not realising why it needed that, I ignored the request to flash. Of course, I then "bricked" the phone. I was able to install the original JB 4.12 (v20c) back onto the phone but now it won't root. I've tried almost every method in this forum to no avail.:
ADB just gives a message "error: closing" when I use the boot.exe method
o4xr method does nothing
all-in-one method also does nothing
ADB does recognise the device. Drivers are installed. Any help is welcome!

Have you tried to flash a recovery using fastboot? You won't need to root (if you are going to use a custom ROM) and/or it will be easier with a custom recovery
Soft brick after last update.
Hello,
I seem to have a similar problem. I updated a few days ago using Vanir updater. There were no warnings re updating the recovery, just a warning regarding losing root. I checked restore root. The phone rebooted to the bootloader logo, then to a black screen. Now, I can access Cyanogen recovery, SW update mode, abd fastboot mode using buttons and the recovery options. ADB can see the phone only in recovery mode, but not in fastboot or SW update mode. CM recovery has no option to mount USB storage, so my PC cannot see the phone, and I cannot side load a new recovery and flash a new ROM.
Is there any way to use ADB if it cannot see your phone in fastboot or SW mode? Perhaps modify the settings.secure string to enable ADB? ADB can see the phone in recovery mode.
Otherwise I will try flashing a stock ROM via KDZ or LG firmware update tool, the re-root and proceed - but rooting was a major ordeal the first time, so I would like to avoid doing that again.
Thanks in advance.

Unfixable bootloop?

I'm what you'd call a super noob at this stuff and I've got my poor little SP in a crazy bootloop... I've tried LITERALLY EVERYTHING the internet has told me to try; wiping every cache out there, flashing custom roms, stock roms, you name it. It began when I just got CWM (don't ask me why it happened then, I have no clue why) and this is even BEFORE I put a ROM on! (I was all ready to put a ROM after getting CWM but bootloop happened).
Note: I have CWM recovery, I think I have lost my stock recovery, if I try some ROMS (ex. CM 12) they give me this error 7, once I found certain ROMS (PACMAN ROM, unofficial stock ROM) that would flash and install, they did but still left me with a bootloop, I have tried wiping so many caches it's not even funny, I've tried flashing the original firmware, nothing works... so I'm here for help.
I have looked at every google link and every method possible in trying to fix this thing! I really can't afford a new phone and I just love this one too much... please help!

Please go to the above link to get TWRP. Also, please keep in mind that TWRP is now the only still supported recovery around. CWM and PhilZ are both really outdated and no longer maintained due to the introduction of Cyanogen Recovery which is very minimal in features.
Once you get yourself the download, extract the files from the zip and get the twrp.img file. We will need this to flash into the boot partition of Xperia SP, granting you a direct boot into recovery once it is flashed. Please then copy the original zip to your sd card, as we will be flashing the original zip via TWRP later to give you access to TWRP in the future.
Using your preferred tool, flash the twrp.img file into the boot partition.
Connect your Xperia SP via fastboot. Make sure SP is shut down, hold volume up key and connect the SP with your computer.
If you're using a fastboot tool via command prompt, the command would be
fastboot flash boot twrp.img
If you're using flashtool, hit the lightning icon in the toolbar, select fastboot mode. Then select "Select kernel to flash". Make sure the file type is "img" else you won't able to find your TWRP img file. Navigate to mentioned img file and select it.
Afterwards, when flashing complete, you may insert sdcard and start the device. It will boot directly into TWRP as we flashed a recovery to the boot partition.
Clean wipe data, cache, dalvik cache, system. You may leave internal storage.
Flash the ROM zip you acquired (make sure file integrity is checked beforehand!) then the TWRP zip earlier. Flashing the TWRP zip grants you a persisting recovery, as explained in the linked thread.
You may now reboot and enjoy

[URGENT] Stuck in Bootloop. Help.!!!

I was on MUI9 Nougat 7.1.2. Unlocked my bootloader properly. Wanted to try out Google Camera. So I searched the forum, found TWRP 3.0.3 Installer. Installed the TWRP successfully. Then I thought of installing the new TWRP, so flashed TWRP 3.2.1 from the previous TWRP. When I booted back to Recovery, saw the Encryption Error. I never set any password. Got tensed. Searched the forums again for solution. Found that I have to format the data. So formatted the data, flashed LazyFlasher. Did not know what else to do, tried booting and got stuck in Bootloop. I only have Internal Storage. And have one OTG Pendrive in case it comes handy. Downloaded Dot OS 7.1.2 and tried to install it from the OTG by booting back to TWRP, failed, it said Corrupt ZIP, but the zip file was ok. So started the process again, rebooted back to TWRP, wiped everything and this time tried to flash an old MIUI9 Recovery ROM through it, it still gave the same error, Corrupt ZIP. So basically what I have left is that I can boot into TWRP and also Fastboot is working well. But dont know how to get past this Bootloop. Someone please help. Really urgent. So tensed. :crying:
do you flash miui rom in twrp or miflash? try to flash the miui rom with miflash and see if ur phone booted up or not.

Thanks bro. Never mind. Somehow managed to flash DotOS Nougat version through TWRP 3.0.3. Now bro please tell me one thing. I wont stay at DotOS, I dont like it, just flashed it to get through the bootloop. So now I have downloaded MIUI9 8.3.22 Developer Recovery ROM. Still having TWRP 3.0.3, BL Unlocked, ADB working, Fastboot working, USB Debugging everything taken care off. Just tell me steps to flash the Developer ROM now so that I dont go into bootloop again. Please. Thanks in advance.
ummm kinda easy actually, download the miflash software, open it, it should have the select, refresh, and flash menu. click select, and navigate to your rom file (u need to download the fastboot rom version! not the recovery version, should be easy to find in google. the format should be .tgz change it to rar, extract it, it will shows another rar extract it again, it should be folder now) that folder is your rom file. now enter fastboot mode, plug ur phone, and click refresh. it will shows some number and alphabet. if the number and alphabet appears, click flash! and wait! and ur phone will boot itself
sorry for **** english
1. Go to twrp...
2. Wipe (cache, data, dalvik/cache, system)
3. flash miui 9 dev 8.3.22
4. flash lazyflasher...
Reboot..
It will take more then 5 min to start (first boot usually take that much time)
Your phone boot normally....
If you are facing TWRP Recovery Issue then update TWRP

Please help! [Custom Recovery/Stuck on Realme Screen]

Hi,
I decided to try to install the custom lineage ROM that was here.
I downloaded the ROM, followed the steps to install orange fox custom recovery. I flashed the ROM, rebooted and got stuck on the realme logo. Luckily I was able to bypass this boot loop and get back into recovery. Now that I am there, I just want to revert my phone to stock to avoid any more issues. My Bootloader is unlocked.
Question: How do I revert my phone to completely stock Realme X2 Pro / realme ui 1.0. I have an .ozip file containing the stock ROM. I do not want to permanently brick my device, please help. How do I revert all the partitions/ROM back to normal. Thank you.
EDIT: I tried flashing the ozip file, but when I rebooted it was still stuck on the logo screen. What should I do?
The issue has been solved, thank you.

Relevant comic https://xkcd.com/979/
I had the same problem just yesterday and i have successfully locked the bootloader and am back to stock rom.
Now this is not my method i read it here on xda but cant find that thread now.
First of all go to fastboot and in cmd type fastboot -w (this should wipe internal storage)
Then boot into recovery
Go to advanced wipe(cache, dalvik, system, data)
Go back into wipe menu and do format data and press yes.
Then reboot to recovery through reboot menu in recovery
It will ask for conformation as no rom is installed but continue to reboot.
Then flash the ozip(if you have a recovery compatibe to flash ozip otherwise use alpropriate zip file for flashing rom. In my case i had unofficial twrp).
After flash completes dont do anything and just reboot to system this should replace custom recovery with stock one.
Then reboot to recovery to check if it is replaced with a stock one.(Never try to lock bootloader with custom recovery installed it will hard brick your device.)
Then if stock recovery is installed reboot to bootloader and in cmd type
Fastboot flashing lock
Then accept the msg on phone to lock bootloader it will wipe your data and then you will have a phone with locked bootloader.
I again want to inform you that this is not my post but i had read it somewhere on xda i will try to find it and then put a link to it here.

Question How do i get Stock recovery to not replace TWRP when rebooting???

Tried a bunch of things to make the TWRP installation persistent, but it just goes back to MIUI recovery when i reboot from the system.
I'm using TWRP 3.5.2 by Nebrassy.
USB debugging turned on
Correct drivers installed
fastboot devices work Using minimal ADB and fastboot
I have the file renamed as TWRP.img.
Steps i followed:
fastboot boot "TWRP.img" - Correctly boots into TWRP
install the TWRP image to the recovery partition - Happens with no errors
Reboot to system - No errors there as well
Reboot to recovery - Goes back to MIUI recovery.
Can someone please tell me what i should do?
PS: Tried with TWRP 3.6.0 as well just now. Same issue.

Try again to flash TWRP dirty and if it's started don't boot with software. You have to boot TWRP again by pressing volume + and power button until you'll get vibration , afterwards you'll be in TWRP again, clear dalvik and cache and restart system via TWRP menu

Sorry mate that didn't work. Still going back to stock recovery...
Since i didn't find a solution to make the installation presistant, i went ahead and flashed Elixir with the temporarily booted TWRP. Then wiped cache and dalvik, flashed the TWRP image, formatted data and then rebooted. Now it works.
Edit: This method did something to my recovery. I can boot to system and recovery fine but TWRP isn't able to mount the data partition. So i'm not able to flash anything or root the device anymore.
I tried formatting data, no luck.
Then tried repairing the data partition. No luck.
Changed the file system to EX2 and then EX4... Nothing.
Anyone know a solution for this?

Would that re-lock the bootloader? And if so do i have to wait 7 more days for it to be unlocked?
I used the Disable-Dm-Verity-Zip directly in TWRP after installation. Worked without a problem.

1. With MiFlash there is an option at the bottom of the screen to lock bootloader. Just make sure it is NOT checked, and you will be safe to use MiFlash without relocking bootloader.
2. When installing TWRP for first time, it is essential that your first reboot is straight back to TWRP - then it becomes persistent, and future reboots to recovery will be to TWRP. If you do not do the first reboot back to TWRP, the stock MIUI ROM recovery reinstalls itself.

The first ever twrp install i did, i rebooted to system by mistake but i reflashed twrp and made sure to reboot to recovery.... That was the second try. I think i may have tried at least two dozen times since that but it just kept booting back to stock recovery...
I think I'll run with this until the end of Jan and then redo everything from scratch...
