Thank you codeworkx for your work on this updated Lineage OS ROM! One question I have - do you know if this ROM supports PS4/DS4 bluetooth controllers? I seem to not be able to get them working on Lineage OS 16.0

No, I use smart lock so no real problem for me..

Delivered Lineage 17. Bluetooth headphones do not work (the connection is normal, but there is no sound in the headphones, instead, every 10 seconds, the sound breaks out of the built-in speakers). Rolled back to version 16

Tried flashing with the opengapps 10.0 arm64 beta. Performed a factory reset first. when I get to the checking info/checking for updates stage it goes into a loop and I get a popup that Google Play services keeps stopping.

How to install:
Follow the usual procedure, important things is to use supported recovery, you can download it from the download section.
Also do not forget, wipe everything, install rom, then gapps without reboot between!
Others recovery will not be supported!
Also if you come from another ROM, full wipe is required.
FAQ:
Which Gapps to use? OpenGapps works great, you can get them from here
After installing ROM + Gapss, GApps keep crashing: Just update your recovery with the provided twrp (in cm-13.0 thread)
Keyboard does not work: enable hardware keyboard in settings.
If you don't want to see cursor while using S-Pen, you can disable it it in settings / inputs
Camera is not working: use google camera

Important information:
This thread is for LineageOS 15.1 builds for Xiaomi Mi 6. The following will not be supported here:
Custom kernels
Mods
Xposed
We don't support Xposed and any logcat which includes a Xposed module will be ignored. You're kindly invited to not report bugs if you:
Flashed a custom kernel
Installed or did mods from untrusted sources
Modified system files
WARNING:
This is an early preview of LineageOS 15.1, there's no guarantee it'll work stable.
Database migration from previous LineageOS is currently NOT supported, you MUST perform a data wipe before.
Tips:
SELinux works in permissive
FBE is currently not supported
NFC is a bit buggy and drains a lot in standby, disable it when you don't use it.
You need at least MIUI Global Oreo 8.2.8 firmware, otherwise you'll get error 7 when installing the zip. Latest MIUI Global Oreo firmware is recommended.
Installation:
First time flashing LineageOS 15.1 on your device, or coming from another ROM?
Download the zip(s)
Install a compatible Recovery (I recommend twrp-3.2.1-0-sagit-blankaf-3.img as it works with /vendor (/cust) partition and February security patch decryption.)
Perform a nandroid backup of your current ROM (Optional)
Format data & wipe system, data, cache and dalvik cache
Flash LineageOS
Optional: Install the Google Apps addon package
Reboot

Just don't use the ROM.
XDA isn't meant to be personal. Just a webpage to share work.
If you don't like it just don't use it I guess.
Whatever gets done is usually added to github so any changes can be forked into others builds so improvement happens regardless of the developer abandoning the project etc.
That's the point of android development. Its open source so progress is shared.
Don't worry too much and go with the flow

Hello. I saw in the builds of Android 10 such a feature: in the camera settings, you choose to save to the SD card and the photo is not saved, it is saved only when you choose the memory of the smartphone. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
Love u and Thanks Kyasu for the Lineage Rom. I am waiting for this Rom.

hi kyasu,
after clean flashing 17.1 it has no welcome/reinstall backed up apps/call lags/etc from g drive and g one; i've tried factory reseting from within android but it just went to twrp; is there a way to get this or else i cannot recover a lot of data?
thx
How long are people experiencing, for their first boot on 17.1?
I have done a wipe of all but internal SD, and am now sitting at 30min, with just the ROM, no GApps or Magisk.
Or will it only boot with GApps?
A previous attempt had both GApps and Magisk 20.3, but also took a long time without success

You will scold me. I flashed LOS 17.1 dirty over LOS 16. Everything works great! With Magisk Root.
Album art does not work.
I have four MP3 files on my internal SDCard. They get scanned and included in the MediadB, but there is no Album art, nor are there any records in the MediaDB. I also tried manually updating/creating album art using an Album Art updater from the playstore, and it also failed to create the alum art.
I also noticed this same behavior on flashing crDroid
I did a clean flash, can someone else please confirm they get the same results?

I did the same and am quite happy.
One thing I noticed:
I used to have a Profile to unlock the phone when connected to home Wifi and another to set the pin when not connected to my home wifi.
Both profiles are still there, but there is no more lock settings in the profiles.
Is that generally not there anymore in 17.1 / android 10?
Smartlock also does not work for me.
Any idea on how to automatically have the phone unlocked at home and locked elsewhere?

I have four MP3 files on my internal SDCard. They get scanned and included in the MediadB, but there is no Album art, nor are there any records in the MediaDB. I also tried manually updating/creating album art using an Album Art updater from the playstore, and it also failed to create the alum art.
I also noticed this same behavior on flashing crDroid

I am a little obsessed with album art As such, I built a few features into the following app:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-temefi-comprehensive-documentation-t3806260
Under the menu, *small bug in last release, the first opening of the app, the menu is little borked, but corrects itself on the next opening)
"Database>MediaDB SQL>Songs Missing Album Art"
You can also see it in the last column:
"Database>MediaDB SQL>Last 1000 music files added to MediaDB"
As I said, I cleaned flashed, so I don't expect you to have a different result.

Also , it says that xperia xz dual rom! can we use for xperia xz single sim too!
Anyway, I use m-rom 2.3.1 on my xperia xz f8331 but rom is for dual sim.
I delete ads in m-rom 2.3.1 then flashed on my f8331. it works well.
@Sjll:
Does this build support ExFat on External SDCards ? This was one of the main issues (for me) on your last build ...
Hello, is still necessary flash Stock 41.3.A.2.157 for F8331 before flashing this ROM ??
thanks for answer

Stock oreo FW is OK.
Hi, i just wanna report that after turning on the rom is really slow to detect the sim card and connect to the service, and sometimes light sensor just makes the screen dim for a second. Otherwise it is one of the best roms for the device.
Bugs & lags
1. Second sim not detected (but los 16 detects both sim with same base rom).
2. Top speaker not working on loud speak call (very low sound on loudspeaker).
3. Cannot reduce volume while call (slider moving in UI but not functioning).
4. Better battery compare to other custom roms but not as stock (same apps consuming more than from stock).
5. Takes long time to goto TWRP.

So both are good, as I understand it? Thank you.
Hi! Thank you for this ROM. My phone is alive again... It works way more flawlessly so far than the latest stock ROM.
Not sure if I miss something from camera and screen quality. What I kind of miss is sony music and album apps witch I actually enjoyed using..
The only con is that I cannot encrypt my phone and use TWRP and do flashing without a format (is there a workaround for that?)
Also when I have fingerprint activated the power button scans all the time for fingerprints even if the phone is sleeping, without having to press it first.. So it scans every time there is a skin contact, leading on too many attempts or accidentally turned on..
Best rom eva.
Though I had to use somewhat old gapps because when flashing the new ones the android/architecture version is reported mismatching.
Assuming the previous poster did try them and didn't have issues, I believe it was probably this to cause breakage (maybe it was a bad idea to ship the same custom recovery for both the Oreo and Pie roms?)
For the remainder this rom is rocking better than anything other (*touch wood*, I said the same about the SODP 15.1 version and it turned out crashy shortly after).
Fingerprint and also android auto works! This is a first ever, not just with AOSP roms but in general for the entire phone.
The only small defects are the the internal call speaker is pretty quiet and calls have to be answered from the notifications.
Sim detection could also be somewhat improved I guess (I get OP has a dual sim model, but there are no excuses not to ship the incredible universal patcher)
Thread closed at op's request.
Thank you for your contributions :highfive:

Spoiler: How to improve GPS
You could use a gps.conf from https://app.box.com/s/w57s1v1n3hie7l5lk28i for your location and replace /vendor/etc/gps.conf.
Or you try GPS Server Optimizer app for a faster 3D fix.
For both methods you need root rights.
I would recommend to use microG instead of BitGapps,
here you can find the installation instructions:
Spoiler: microG instructions
Download Magisk 24.1 and flash it via TWRP (yes, flash the APK file), reboot
Open Magisk and update the App (and do a reboot if it's asking)
Enable Zygisk in Magisk
Download and install microG installer in the Magisk manager, reboot
Download and install safetynet-fix in the Magisk manager, reboot
Check with a safetynet checker app and you should pass
Do you like my work?
Than you can simply hit the thanks button and consider to spend me a coffee or a beer,
I'm doing this in my free time and it also costs a lot of money to buy hardware.

I heard that Google is starting to drop support for 32-bit devices since Andrid 12, and I thought Android 12 is not even compile-able for 32-bit devices...
Anyway, you did an amazing work that keeps this very legacy device still alive, a noob like me cannot even imagine to bringup the latest Android for a 9 years old device... XD

Hi,
here you can find my version of LineageOS 19.0 for our Samsung Galaxy S3 (I9300).
At first I want to thank @rINanDO, @ChronoMonochrome for all your work and the cherry picks I made from you earlier.
This is a early ALPHA build, also from the LineageOS side, so don't install it if you want a completley stable and completed ROM and don't report my already listet bugs!
When you have BitGapps installed, you have to reflash them after every update!
Attention: disable your SIM-PIN with a different device, otherwise it could get locked.

I also faced this one time, try to reboot with the power button and press it shortly some times,
this fixed it in my case.
I will find out sooner or later why it doesn't boot some times,
since then it didn't appeared again on my phone.
