Bug reporting:
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

How?

This rom is great!
There still are some bugs here and there, but otherwise the rom is very stable and smooth (I can see that you care about the rom and you really want us to have a good experience with it).
Thank you very much for the rom. Maybe it sometimes doesn't look like it or we don't tell you this very often, but we all deeply appreciate your work!

After 4 days of using this rom here is my review:
1: Everything is smooth and fast, there's no lags at all and everything is stable (for me at least..).
2: Sound is loud in speaker (songs, videos and ringtones etc..) and the inCall speaker is also loud and clear, everything can be heard nicely.
3: Battery backup is super awesome and for each 10% of it I can get 1h of screen time which is G.R.E.A.T..
4: The rom is rich with customizations and has pretty much good options like for example "Edge Lighting" a really awesome thing that you must try and see .
5: edXposed is working flawlessly, substratum lite is working also and compatible with this rom.
6: It is frequently updated and getting new fixes and patches and improvements which are always welcomed!
7: Charging speed is good and the overheating is rarely happening (depending on your usage of course).
For now I can stay in this rom for more than one month because no other roms can compete its stability ^_^

Link broken

support update by dirty flash?? or must always clean flash if new update out??

Anyone facing green video issue in chrome.

YOU are doing modifications to your device.
YOU are responsible for what you do.
We are not responsible for any damages, data loss or any type of unexpected,
bad or damaging results! If you have **SERIOUS** problems with this software,
please contact the developers or maintainers. We are not liable for anything
bad that happens to your device.
As long as you are responsible, some companies such as OnePlus
WILL HONOR IT. Some people occasionally describe them as heroes.
Don't be stupid and bet on that though, please be responsible for what you do.
We prohibit you from overclocking to 1337 GHz thinking, that an OEM would
replace your glorious space heater etc.
We recommend you to take the advice above regardless.
halogenOS Checklist
Although no data should be lost or damaged by the flashing process,
we advise you to follow the following steps if you are coming from another rom:
Please take a full nandroid backup!
Please copy your back up to an external device.
Backing up your Internal Storage is also recommended.
When completed, please clean flash the build!
Although you usually can dirty flash halogenOS over other ROMs, considering the other
ROM has the same Android version, it is not guaranteed. In case of serious
crashes please do a clean flash.
You can dirty flash halogenOS 7 (Nougat) over halogenOS 6 (Marshmallow)
without any problems. Although we can't promise that it will work for you,
we can tell you that this has been tested. In fact, @xdvs23 did a dirty flash of
XOS 7 over XOS 6 and has no problems.
If you get app crashes after dirty flashing over XOS 6 or another ROM, please just
clear the app data of those apps, and it should work fine then.
XOS is a new generation cutting-edge OS for Android based on Code Aurora Forum releases.
What is XOS?
halogenOS, also known as XOS is a new Android ROM which ships with the global aim to
become a modular ROM which keeps as high as potentially possible operating
performance on your mobile device while still maintaining a sufficient feature
base of nice, small and minimal features that would not be available via any
external feature base, extension, mod or plugin.
We hope you have a truly halogenified experience!
Internals of XOS
At core, the ROM is composed mainly of components from CodeAuroraForums (CAF),
featuring only extremely minor set of components from CyanogenMod (CM) which
have been added to source in order to allow for better cross-device compatibility.
Our LOVE to others
A huge thanks goes to those behind the CodeAuroraForums (CAF), the CyanogenMod
organization and all of its
contributors for the sources used in the development of the base ROM which we
started with inclusive of all the work and dedication their team puts in order to
keep us updated on the awesome contributions that they make.
We will be keen on ensuring that we be up to date with the code from our base sources,
with regular ROM updates hopefully coming from time to time.
Please do not ask for ETA's (else you shall be spooked by Mr Skeltal). Almost all of us are
students, and with the current lifestyles and routines we have, it is not that easy to acquire
time to develop the ROM, though we'll be sure to keep you updated and release OTAs as
soon as they are available and ready for publication. If you want to be really updated quick,
then join us on Telegram: http://telegram.me/halogenos
Visit our website for features such as: Downloads, Information etc.

Common stuff
Known issues:
Navbar section in SystemUI Tuner crashes
If you get the fingerprint/home button issue: When the system booted, you should lock your phone, and then unlock it using fingerprint with screen turned off, then it works like expected.
The issues above are very minor issues and will be fixed as soon as possible.
The ROM is super stable as of now and we'll maintain a clean and proper ROM.
Known issues are going to be fixed as soon as possible. We don't have infinite time.
Planned features (don't ask for these!):
Heads-Up toggle
Button actions
Advanced reboot
Highlights:
No QS Bug!!!
Reworked Lockscreen Visualizer
Substratum
Full media support (FFMPEG, video codecs, ...)
Great Audio quality, no distortions, no crap
Optimized many portions of the system including surfaceflinger, inputflinger, System Server, and more
Super fast boot
Superuser-capable
Great battery life
Soundmod support (not all soundmods work on Nougat, it's not our fault)
addon.d support (backups your gapps etc. when flashing new build - don't wipe system before flashing!)
init.d support
BusyBox
Disabled Access Time for all partitions (We don't need access time. When access time is enabled, it will store the exact date of the access when a file is accessed, what just wastes write cycles (in theory) and has impact in I/O performance.)
Super smooth
Signature Spoofing toggle (Support for MicroG)
Support for trusted third-party WebViews like Chrome
Long press on home for assist toggle
Security Patches in kernel
KCal support
Kernel optimizations
OpenGapps (Mini/Micro/Nano recommended) and Banks GApps support
Full KeyHandler & KeyDisabler support [WIP]
Dexpreopt for faster (first) boot time and less space consumption on data partition
Upgrade & Boot the ROM in just 5 minutes - no more endless waiting for flashing a new build
Very high compatibility with other ROMs
Warning: You should not use SuperSU by Chainfire, as that breaks sensors on Nougat ROMs for Redmi note 3
Instead, please flash this zip and install the phh's superuser app from Play Store: Phh's Superuser
How to update the ROM:
Download the latest zip
Reboot into TWRP (Please use official TWRP)
Do not wipe anything
Flash the ROM
Flash superuser zip if you want
Reboot
You don't need to wipe Cache/Dalvik.
You don't need to flash gapps again. There is some magic going on which keeps your GApps. Just make sure that you don't wipe system before flashing.
You don't need more than 5 minutes.
Screenshots
Currently right now, halogenOS will only include the stock Android theme.
We are going to use a custom theme as soon as that theme is working perfectly fine.

In before you No volte Support
For Goodix fingerprint scanner
Follow this guide on the agni thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69654028&postcount=1050
Although I will never support this officially as its not on cm sources, @nicknitewolf and @psndna88 are doing some excellent work to keep them in the loop. For any bugs related to goodix post it in that thread itself.
I don't understand why developers don't add volte in their ROMs by the way nice work

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log

Oh, I haven't actually tried it yet, but I thought you were using the init.d trick instead of the double tap toggle in settings!
Can we have a Telegram group for testing and reporting bugs ??
Please share screenshots from this rom

U need to follow that method
First take a internal storage backup first in to your pc.
1. Flash latest fastboot rom on your MI max 2 via pc
Fastboot rom
2. Flash Treble Recovery on your phone.
Orangefox Recovery
3. Now open recovery mode. Go to wipe section then wipe data /dalvik/system/vendor/

ROMS UPDATE
Tested series:
AOSIP
Superior OS
Candy ROM
cr droid OS
Smoothness:
AOSIP is better than every OS in the list.
Battery:
Not that much difference as per my use.
Just some tweaks (as discussed in threads) settings in kernel auditor and you are good to go for the more than whole day.
BUGS:
AOSIP
Volume bar is on left side, and no settings to change for it.
Few glitched but will be resolved by next month update.
SUPERIOR OS
Whatsapp detecting for "custom ROM" can be either build error or some minor glitch.
CR DROID OS
Wasnt able to find the setting to turn off the hardware navbar.
CANDY ROM
Pretty ok.
UI is not that okay, and minor glitches for some apps (i.e., Apps crashing automatically)
Shout out @MaheshTechnicals for working on these ROMS.
Thanks a lot for keeping the 9.0 versions alive.

I wanted to be sarcastic because it supposedly "fixed some known bugs". And what's crucial phone bug is that you couldn't fix it.
Because PE ROM is used by people who are unable to install openGapps on their own.
Each ROM class is better than PE, you just have to put GAPPS on them. All right, Revenge seems to be just a little-little better.
There is no doubt that PE is successful, but there is nothing creativ in it. Okay, people come in.
He takes a LineageOS, inserts a PE logo, and places an OpenGAPPS on it. 30 minutes.
And I don't use either, because....

for me havoc-os 2.9 worked fine, beautiful customizations and ui, a simple user not a gamer or heavy user,
in my experience almost all pie roms are stable enough for daily driver after August builds,
but i think all android 10 roms are struggling with bigger bugs like in havoc-3.0 random restart, u can try different roms for fewer days and decide what you want,
u can also flash your parents stock miui debloat it with "iraqi debloater" and with any simple and fast launcher like my favorite evie launcher?

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS) we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and then changed to be based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
We changed again for Android Q with a base of AOSP repositories and some additions from LineageOS for device specific repositories.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out, if it concerns our code base. This ROM isn't LineageOS supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look here to see what day your device is built on.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels officially?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP. Custom ROMs modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROMs. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. Information about Xposed, EdXposed or Riru Core can be obtained from the XPosed General forums .
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the flashing instructions...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, this is the usual behaviour on flashing a new official build by (or using) the build-in updater service.
Q. How do I 'dirty flash' builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot" as the destination, then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash and reboot afterwards.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. I'm having issues with WhatsApp, how do I fix it?
A. Read this
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat AND the model name. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.)
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section in the AICP Extras main page.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Q. You don't need to install any Add-ons, simply download the latest ROM and GApps, then follow the flashing instructions and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug, restoring regular apps is fine though.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know!)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the System, Cache, and Data (you might need to format the data partition!).
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work), GApps are already included for some a/b devices.
6. Reboot and set up your device, enable developer settings and in them OEM unlock/Advanced reboot/USB tethering.
7. Reboot back into TWRP recovery.
8. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
9. Reboot your device.
The procedure may vary from device to device and is a bit different on system updates!
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once! This might differ on AvB Devices.
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions >= 20.3 don't usually need to be flashed on every dirty flash.
Depending on the device, you may need to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise, you should be fine.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates):
TWRP recovery is needed to be able to flash using the built-in OTA app.
Please make sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery, keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!
On encrypted devices you will have to enter your PIN/password in TWRP before the process starts.

Try TrCamera.V5 or Bruial 7.2.10. If not working change the kernel. Iam on AICP Q unofficial from April, this cameras works great.
Great, good job now official. AICP my favourite rom. EAS is still supported? The unofficial roms before have a very good BB with some EAS kernels. Iam not a gamer and don't found a good HMP with very good BB for AICP Q.

Was using eas before, while it does improve smoothness and UI performance, it unfortunately causes some really nasty freezes, so I swit he'd back to HMP, you're free to use a custom kernel though

This good to hear, I will try. With OLK-reloaded-V5, Papermoon 3.7 and Notkernel EAS I never had freezes with AICP Q in daily use (5weeks) and very good BB. Papermoon no. 1 smooth, than OLK. But I never tried games.
Hey. I have a headset problem. The volume change on the headphones does not work.. when I press the button, the volume goes up or down. does anyone have the same?

I use headphone with volume control and both work. The volume control of the headphone and volume control of the smartphone. Driver from ViperFx. But I am still on aicp_lavender_q-15.0-UNOFFICIAL-20200412. Tomorrow I want update to the official one, after testing SyberiaOS. But I don't think they change the sound control in the official one.

In lineageos there is also a problem with the volume of the headphones. It's probably a kernel bug. Mokee rom and Pixel experience is ok. they have a different kernel, so they work Hmmm....

BB is good, but depends what kernel you use. You can change kernel and have 1-2 hours more. Cameras I installed TrCamera V5 and Hypercam (gcams) both works great.
