PM

Here's the link for the OTA file. It's a patch file and not the full ROM, so please be sure that you are already on November security patch without any modifications (I have a bootloader locked device as Motorola voids warranty after bootloader unlock. So people with unlocked/rooted devices should wait for the full ROM or they can try their luck at their own risk)
https://mega.nz/#!k58AGSbD!ePccyYgFiyhWVKFBUw2SUIFVcpYrAK8qvn9M2rv0zXc
Prerequisites: 100% Stock ROM with no system modifications of any kind. This file is only for the Indian variant of the Motorola One Power. You should already have installed the Android Pie November security patch update from Motorola before installing this update.
1. Download from link and move it to root of your internal storage(not in any folder like Downloads etc). Put it outside all folders.
2. Go to Settings>Apps&notifications>Show all apps>3dot menu(top right of the screen)>show system apps
3. Find Motorola Update Services and give it storage permission.
4. Go to Updates screen and check for update. It will show up. Install as any normal OTA.
I've used the same file to upgrade my own device and a few others who got the file over PM. No one reported any issues with the update.
Disclaimer: I'm not responsible for anything you install on your device. Use at your own risk.

Thank you for the link!

Thanks for the link, wondering if this will work on an unlocked Moto P30 Note? On P30 note I flash everything from latest full ROM except those files: bootloader.img, BTFM.bin, fsg.mbn, gpt.bin, NON-HLOS.bin.

I wouldn't recommend using this file in that case. I have used it in a bootloader locked Indian moto one power without any problems.
You should wait for the full ROM as this is just the patch file. Shouldn't be too long.

Yes !! There are some bugs and issue, but nice one i got some new features atleast
Thanks reddevil for sharing the link of that ota file

i rooted my device using magisk. now everytime i uninstall magisk my phone ends up rebooting to recovery. and the updater wouldnt update to the new build.
i have tried wipe from twrp after restoring my boot image. doesnt seem to work. any help would be appreciated.

So the 118-19-6 is good for the XT1710-01 Retail directly from Motorola?
I'm on the stock 118-9 version, Security Update of July 1st, and Android 7.1.1. No OTA update available when I check.
Are these 7.1.2 yet?

Dude, what did I just say? I DON'T KNOW.
I'm sure it will work, but it may take you off your official upgrade path.
And with no fastboot file available for your current software version, I would take a full TWRP backup and copy to pc for safekeeping before trying anything.

I'm going to buy my z2 play bike at the end of the year and it's a shame not to have an updated lite rom. Probably you should be doing a good job.
It would be nice to have a rom lite for ALL MODEL with deodex, delete more apps OTA / CCC / CCE, OTA process is deleted, remove a lot of the background services collect and send data on the type of phone (DropBox, MotoCare , MotoConntect, Drive and etc).

Updated the OP with the latest retail build NPSS26.118-19-11.
Unlike most carrier unlocked moto devices, which tend to have multiple upgrade paths for different regions, the albus seems to have only one upgrade path for the retail variant so far.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, and please post the OTA files for alternate upgrade paths if you have them; directions are in the OP.
I have linked the tools I use to create these at the bottom of the OP.
You can use these tools and info in their threads to reverse engineer the stock build and modify it to your liking.

The file name structure doesn't have anything to do with the date it was made afaik.
That update is for "albus_c" and not "albus". I'm not sure what the difference is.
Apparently, there are multiple upgrade paths after all.
Flashing this will likely take you off your current upgrade path, but it is safe, so you can always go back to your previous stock build if you want.

Thanks @Q9Nap!
I've attempted to follow your instructions about applying OTA via TWRP, but that fails because of mismatching thumbprint - which sounds odd since I've downloaded and attempted to flash on exactly the same device...
Anyway, I'll try soon to flash the full stock ROM, after download from the link you've re-posted.

Personally I think is not worth it. This is not final build and will delete data from your device. Then next one will show up in couple days or even (maybe) tomorrow. If I will you I will wait for around another 3-4 weeks to get more stable build.
Sent from my SM-N950U using XDA Premium HD app
I tried it -- the installation took about an hour in Recovery, mainly stayed in the "Patching system files". This install *WILL* wipe your phone (not your SD card though).
The build was super fast (even faster than a fresh Nougat flash).
There were two things that caused me to flash back to Nougat.
- The Wi-Fi was extremely weak. At my desk at work, I can normally see 6 Wi-Fi networks. 4 of them are in my office. With Oreo, I could only see two of them, and it struggled to stay connected to the one that I normally have full signal on.
- Also, my AT&T Gear S2 Classic could not be connected. Upon attempting to pair (after confirming the PIN on phone/watch) Samsung Gear gave a message stating that I need to ensure my phone was compatible and that I had the latest Samsung Gear app. I confirmed that there were no available updates for ANYTHING in the Play Store and Galaxy Apps. Both stores showed that my app was up to date.
If it weren't for those two issues, I'd still be on the Oreo build right now.
Another point -- I experienced my first freeze/reboot on this phone in Oreo. I've had the phone since June of last year and never had any freeze/reboot issues previously. Never dropped or gotten the phone wet, etc.
Hope this helps anyone who is wanting to flash the build!

I face the same issues you have described. Originally after applying the Oreo update, I was not able to enable Bluetooth nor WiFi. I had to reboot to recovery and wipe cache.
Once that was done, I was able to get WiFi and Bluetooth to work.
I have the Galaxy Fit2 and was not able to sync watch to the phone with the same error you received. ( I tried the version 3..1.80.80109 of Samsung Accessory Service as suggested in another thread, no luck.)
WiFi as you described is pitiful, luckily I don't rely on WiFi as much so I will continue on with this Oreo build.
Does anyone know how to turn off the red heart rate sensor light off? It is accidentally turning on even if I dont get my finger on it after oreo update

Wifi issue meaning weak signals in Wifi connection on Oreo. I simply followed the steps in flashing through SD card and it took a while (40 mins or so) but eventually it went through the install.

Bootloader unlock and ROOT tutorial Huawei honor note 10 (codename Ravel)

Hello Huawei Honor Note 10 owners,
I've been asked by a member of the xda community to create a short and brief tutorial how to get the ROOT installed on this magnificent device. As many of you know, Huawei are not exactly very friendly releasing the unlock method for a bootloader since earlier this year, so we must be looking for other ways how to get it done ourselves.
So here we go:
1) UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER
The only official way how to get the bootloader unlocked right now, is to pay for this type of service. I had my unlock code delivered fairly fast from the following website:
https://global-unlocking-solutions.miiduu.com/bootloader-unlock-codes-choose-model-below
There are 2 options there, a slow one for $20 and a fast one for $23. Naturally I voted for the faster one to have my device unlocked as soon as possible. Main thing is: it works! Here are the steps how to get the bootloader unlocked for Huawei honor note 10:
a) Go to Settings -> About Phone or Settings -> System -> About Phone and tap on build number 7-8 times. You will see a message “You are now a developer”. At this point head back to Settings and you will see an option called Developer Options. Enable USB debugging on your device now.
b) download and install 15 seconds adb installer on your laptop/PC (ideally running Windows), get the file from here:
https://androidmtk.com/download-15-seconds-adb-installer
c) to ensure you have the correct drivers running for your smarthpone, you might want to install Huawei's HiSuite software found here:
https://consumer.huawei.com/minisite/HiSuite_en/
d) download the following zip package platform-tools_r28.0.1-windows from the source here:
http://mirrors.zzu.edu.cn/android/repository/?C=M;O=D
e) boot your phone into fastboot/bootloader mode.
Make sure the phone is turned on and connect it to computer using usb cable.
Open command prompt/power shell pressing SHIFT+right click (touchpad or mouse) on Windows. It will be a dark blue command screen. You must execute this step inside the platform-tools folder from step d)
Type in the following line: adb reboot bootloader. Your phone reboots to fastboot mode in a few seconds.
Now type in another line: fastboot device. Your phone will be listed as a combination of letter and numbers.
Last line to type: fastboot oem unlock **********. The stars represent your unique unlock code that was given to you from the website above.
You will see a warning message about Unlock Bootloader, use Volume buttons to navigate to Yes (highlighted in red) and Power button to select Yes.
Your device will now reboot, wipe all data and then boot back into Android. Your Note 10's bootloader has been just unlocked, congratulations!
2) FLASH TWRP recovery to HUAWEI HONOR NOTE 10
a) first you need to download the following apk as listed by bark1234: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AizwhfImY2xzgadtepfbKJ1BQqxMvg
You can open it up using winrar and just extract the twrp.img file from it. Keep this file as it is the actual TWRP. It is important that you move the twrp.img file in the platform-tools folder, don't skip this step!
b) Turn off your phone. Press and hold Power + Volume Down until you see a fastboot screen.
Or you can also boot into fastboot mode while device is on. Just connect the phone to laptop/PC using usb cable. Open command prompt/power shell from within the platform-tools folder and execute the following lines:
type the familiar line: adb reboot bootloader
next line to type: fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk twrp.img. You will see that command executed successfully in matter of second.
last line to type: fastboot reboot. As soon as you execute this last command line, remove the USB cable and keep pressing Volume UP, so the device will boot to TWRP. If you don't do it quickly enough, your phone just reboots back to system. But no worries, TWRP is already there!
3) ROOT HUAWEI HONOR NOTE 10
a) download the latest stable Magisk zip file from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445.
Have it ready there, make sure to keep it on your phone's internal memory under one of the folders (I kept it under Downloads folder).
b) Switch off your phone and reboot it by holding volume up + power button. You will boot into TWRP recovery. Be patient there, you might want to hold both buttons for a good while until you see the TWRP screen.
NOTE: In my case the TWRP was encrypted, because I had my lock screen password active (under security settings in system). To bypass this, I just switched lock screen feature completely off. This way TWRP stopped asking for the password and I could proceed with flashing procedure without a problem.
c) Once you're inside TWRP, just locate the Magisk zip file and flash it. Just like that. Then you can reboot back to system.
d) download the Magisk file manager from the same source where you download the Magisk zip file: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
Now you're rooted:good:
IMPORTANT NOTE: I will not be held responsible if anyone bricks their HUAWEI HONOR NOTE 10 following this tutorial. It works for me, hopefully it will work for you, too.
Anyone has already tried that?
The site does not look very serious to me.
In addition, I would wait until there is an official firmware if something goes wrong.
I have ordered from https://global-unlocking-solutions.miiduu.com/bootloader-unlock-codes-choose-model-below and got the code in 3-4 hours. though i ordered 1-20 mins one, buts thats okay.
Finally i can confirm the mentioned website works for bootloader unlock code.

I was able to achieve all of the above. I understand your concerns about that website's appearance. But... the unlock code works. You can pay per PayPal in case things go south.
You can download official firmware online. The latest one I was able to locate and download was the 125 build version. Although admittedly I haven't tested that version...
For now my phone is rooted, running on the latest 132 build?.
P. S. I can only imagine there will be "more trustworthy" bootloader unlocking service available in some time. And hopefully cheaper, too. Right now this is the next best thing and for those ones who are impatient to wait (like myself) can benefit from it.
Hope this helps?.

I'd be careful flashing it (haven't tried it myself), but here's the source:
http://androidhost.ru/41z
Androidhost.ru offers 3 firmware versions for Note 10, with an exception of the latest one. But I believe there's the 132 build floating somewhere around Chinese forums, but that's beyond my powers, as it requires creating accounts and point systems and so on...
And yes, bootloader unlock wipes your data, so you'll be back to a fresh system. Just make a backup from the system settings beforehand and you'll be good. Worked for me?.

Thanks a lot for all the input, much appreciated!. When you say your bootloader got locked again, can you actually reuse the unlock code over and over again if you want to have the bootloader unlocked again, is that correct? I just wonder if we have to unlock the bootloader again in case there's a future update released from Huawei to a newer build (higher than 132).

Just for your information, viper4android will not run on any Huawei device from EMUI 8 and above due to 64bit audio drivers only, viper4android runs on 32bits. Just tested all versions myself listed under Magisk modules and all of them fail on driver needs to be reinstalled message
Now that we can unlock we need a port of the AOSP from openkirin.net.
Unfortunately, beyond my pay grade. An alternate OS is what this device needs outside of china.

Why don't you do the below? Several people with reteu have updated this way.
1) Download https://mega.nz/#!Q6gz0a5K!vvGpJFpersyw4djw3bJiMJNWNPixObdX8PJOaPCv35A update archive and drop it into the phone's memory (I threw it into the root)
2) Go to Settings - Applications and Notifications - Application Details - 3 points (system processes) - Motorola Update Service - Permissions - Memory to give permission.
3) Settings - Update the system, find our update, click install and wait.
Ps When rebooting, it will stick for a couple of seconds, a black screen and a diode (white) in the window of the proximity sensor will light up.
Then it will stick on the logo for 1-2 minutes. Do not worry, waiting.
Well, finally turn on. [/QUOTE]

Please tell me how to update pie on my international z2 force 1789-06 6gb ram 64 gb s

storage/emulated/0
apart battery drain which might be caused by modem files not beeing targeted to our devices, no apparent bug
but better wait and take the official ota
Official OTA is available, but not working for me. I unlocked and rooted a few month ago, but thought I fully returned to stock again.
Anyone got a solution on this or how to flash manually?
Was able to custom flash-all from pie, based on the flashfile.xml...
There were glitches when flashing the boot.img (as my was modified by magisk).
If you are able the safest way to update is:
Make backup (all of your data... Sdcard, photos, apps and settings.. ). Even recommend to make one without using root access and one using root..
Then rescue within lmsa (here you loose all of your data).
Update with ota (as your partitions will pass the hash check, you will be good to go)
Restore your backup (you will be able to fastboot boot twrp if you have to gain root for the restore)

New MI A2 from authorized dealer not getting OTA updates

Currently on version 8.1.0 at patch level Nov 5 2018.
Any idea how to resolve ?
Is it possible they removed the update from the server?

Hi!, I have the same problem here. I got yesterday my mi a2 and can't update to android pie, I'm in the same patch that you are.
hi the same thing has happened with me. received my red mia2 4/64 today but with 8.1 and nov 5 2018 security patch. i am on a strong wifi network but still no updates visible. tried flashing recent rom from mi website but i get the error flash error mismatching image and device.
i am out of ideas now.
Intersting to point out, that about a month ago we bought another MI A2 from same dealer (different color) and it was already running version 9 and not 8.1.

solved
simply download the files from given link. they are edited bat and sh files to fix mismatch error which you might receive as i did while flashing the stock image.
i faced a similar situation today. mi mia2 red didn't receive any update since 8.1 nov 5 2018. so had to flash stock rom.
extract copy paste and overwrite.
so icant post links as i am less than 10 postshere . so looking for workaround

experience this yesterday, probably this corresponds in Xiaomi server. Maybe they take down the patch after November 2018. You can download the official stock Pie version at MIUI website.
Updaing to PIE was successfull.
Used this guide to unlock bootloader: https://www.androidexplained.com/mi-...ck-bootloader/
Then used the MI FLASH tool to apply the stock rom. First atemp failed with "write error" after 55 seconds, but I tried a second time and this time the process completed.

I have the same issue with OTA updates. I went back to stock (V10.0.8.0.PDIMIXM) from that thread:
