Is the display 90Hz??? - Vivo Nex 3 Questions & Answers

I'm looking everywhere and can't find an answer. The seller I bought it from won't say, and vivo directly isn't understanding what I'm trying to ask. What is the refresh rate?

It's 60Hz.

New touchscreen for the wallaby

First of all I would like to thank all of you for doing such a great job on this forum, I have been ghostreading on the forum for some time now and have always found the answer for my questions. This is the first time I have posted on the forum.
To the problem:
The touchscreen on my Qtek1010 is broken and therefore the unit is almost useless.
I have been searching the forum and found that it is possible to buy a new touchscreen. My problem is that I’m a poor student so therefore i find that 75$ + another 25$ for the shipment to Denmark at http://www.pdasmart.com/pdaphone.htm is a bit expensive.
I have also noticed the site http://pdascreens.co.uk/ but it seems a bit suspicious (anyone tried it)
I'm basically looking for the cheapest way to replace the touchscreen.
Hope you guys can and will help.

Broken Screen

I couldn't find another topic regarding broken screen so decided to make this one.
Yesterday I broke my screen . The phone is working, but the screen not at all. Several phone repair shops offered me to fix it for 85-110 pounds. Does it worth it ? A friend of mine said to me that the replaceable screens are not as good as the original ones. If that's the case any idea how much can I get for it if I sell it like that with the broken screen? Best offer I saw was with EE recycle for 60 pounds... Any info is much appreciated.
Thanks.
Well i think its better for a professional to replace the screen, but you can tried it yourself if you know how. You can get parts really cheap and there are a lot of videos on yt on how to do it. But still I would rather let a professional fix it

Replacement screen?

Hey guys,
I managed to drop my 3T a few days back, cracked the screen, over the course of a day it became fully black, rendering the display unusable.
I've seen some posts of people complaining about how bad their replacement screens are. My local GSM store said they could order a (semi-genuine, lol) display for around $150 - I'm assuming people who are having issues with their replacement screens got some cheap ones off of eBay.
My question is, would this replacement cost be a huge ripoff with me ending up with a somewhat ****ty replacement screen, or is it just worth buying a new phone at this point?
EDIT:
Okay so, my order arrived, took it to my local GSM store, they swapped the displays. Luckily everything works fine, I've got no dead or stuck pixels, screen off gestures, notification led, back and menu buttons, fingerprint reader, everything works just fine. The only little issue is that my actual display part doesn't fit quite fully into the frame, so it's like half a millimeter "elevated" on the left side. Probably not going to cause any issues, it's just that dust can get more easily under the screen.
DIgitizer is also recognized by default, no need for custom kernel, thank god
Try to find some OEM screen (50 - 60 $) its original but not from oneplus

Do either of these look good to you?

https://www.witrigs.com/oem-lcd-screen-assembly-for-oneplus-3-a3000-black
I was told they can only replace the screen if I order it with frame, which both of these sales can do, I'm just not sure if there's anything I should be looking out for to clarify whether or not they're going to be a scam
I love this phone a lot, really don't want to buy a new one, and I also want to triple check before getting a replacement screen, just to be sure.

Some of them have massive issues with unified roms and need a patched kernel to always properly switch on. See the los-16.0 thread for details. The main issue seems to be, that there are oem displays out ther, which claim to be a5 but are actually a3.
@Lada333: if an original (not semi original, not nearly original, but original) replacement screen is too expensive, I'd recommend a new phone to any flashaholic... Maybe you get a good deal on a used (but original... ) 6 or 6t.

I ended up buying the one from the eBay listing ("original" black + frame). Haven't looked into the issue you mentioned earlier, but I'd be fine having to use a patched kernel. I looked around for new phones (I couldn't stand buying a used one), but none of them really seem to be worth it for me. It's either some dum-dum popup camera, or some ugly notch. 3T's design still takes it all for me. A 5T would be hella nice, but then again, not in production anymore, and getting a second-hand one is no deal for me.
I have used official Oneplus repair in my country and was satisfied. its important to order the repair on official site. i've attached pricelist

As far as I know, there's no OnePlus repair here in Hungary, also I haven't bought my phone directly from them - last time I had a repair in question, they told me to contact my Point of Sale, figured they'd advise the same this time too.
Thank you for the tip though!

I ended up buying a replacement part from the ebay listing I linked above for about double the price you paid for yours. It has yet to be delivered to me, it's still stuck at the office of exchange.

Digitizer is not the "standard" issue for some non-oneplus panels - display keeps black occasionally after waking up the device is. See my previous posting and the detailed discussion in the los-16 thread.
Crossing fingers your panel is not effected!

Would you mind linking the post again? IIRC you had it linked in your other post in this thread, but I can't seem to be able to find it anymore.

So far so good, I've been using it quite often since I got it back, never had any issues with it so far, I'm hoping it's gonna stay that way
Is it possible for me to check whether or not the display is 'a5' or 'a3'?

I've referenced to the los-16 thread. I have NOT linked single postings. You need to search yourself. Good friends toöd me: if I not want to feel like a search assistant I have to stop behaving like one.

Theorethically in sysfs (i.e.: grep panel_name /sys/devices/virtual/graphics/fb0/msm_fb_panel_info), but in this case it can't work. The oem panels in question show themselfs as a5 but support only the a3 dtsis... It's really worth searching the conversation in the los-16 thread.

It sure is, if only I knew which los-16 thread you're referring to, and if only the search function wasn't broken (for me at least) on xda ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thanks for the heads up though once again!

take care,
Thomas

Sure, why not? If it's to do with the S21U this is probably the best place.
You might edit the title in your first post to something more captivating like, "How do I interface a ceramic kiln to my S21U over I²C?"
Not sure I understand the reference to a "more captivating title", but as far as the phone here goes.
Got an s21 ultra, tmobile. Phone can't see any sim. I've TRIED all the OS related resets etc. Nothing works. Can't find a schematic other than the usual spammy looking ones in a google search. Nothing from Samsung.
I have the board out. It did have a hot spot on it while it was on. Removing a very small metal shield reveals an IC that has obvious high heat discoloration. Can't find any info in component. I see plenty of this model phone with the same problem for sale on auction sites.
Can I buy schematics/board level components for this phone?
No, you're not going to find any schematics.
If you have a good high res photo maybe somebody can tell you what the major parts.
I'd guess that the chance of getting everything working 100% is small.
You might be able to use it as an alarm clock or MP3 player or weather station.
I don't know e-sim!

Sorry, I really can't see anything from those photos. That appears to be the processor.
If it got really hot any of the BGA connections underneath it could have gotten wrecked/shorted.
I don't even know what the interface to a SIM is, but it could have been lost.
eSIMs are like SIMs except that they are soldered in. If you have one, you have one. If you don't, you don't.
Really hard to believe no one has any hardware info. Maybe I am in the wrong forum.
Any ideas?
