Help, I cannot delete any image file on DCIM folder including Screenshot folder - Realme X2 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi, I am running EU version and I just notice that I cannot delete all the images file the DCIM folder nor on the Screenshot folder.
I can delete any file on the other folder but not on the DCIM folder. Can any of you test if you have the same problem as mine? If not then I'm gonna try to reset my phone.
thanks

[Q] How to access photos in JB, Android >4?

I believe I have a similar problem as this guy ( http://forums.androidcentral.com/verizon-galaxy-s-iii/195932-cant-transfer-pictures-my-s3.html ).
The pictures should be in the DCIM/Camera folder but aren't. I looked up the file path of the pics. Only one old picture is shown.
All pictures shot by me are missing. Could have something to do with permissions?
Edit: Come to think of it. The most likely explanation is that "DCIM/Camera" exists somewhere and is accessed via MTP or PTP in the PC's explorer. The cache file folder has a bunch of .tec and .arc files e.g. 20125440784004.tec
thumbnails is missing.
When accessing the DCIM/Camera folder via the Android file explorer, all pictures are there in storage/sdcard0 along with cache and thumbnail folders. There are no other DCIM/Camera folders or anything other than sdcard0.
What is going on?
Any help is much appreciated.
Well, right after I posted the "Edit", the most reasonable next step would have been to rename the folder and see what happens. Indeed DCIM -> DCIMx did the trick.
Ultimately the renaming brakes down to a bunch of Linux file system commands, probably even resetting permissions. So I figure another renaming step of DCIMx -> DCIM should solve the problem.
Update: It worked, but not after a reboot. I simply renamed the folder again, and let Android create a new DCIM folder. Everything is accessible within this one.
Report if you have similar problems.

Can someone give me folder location of something?

Can someone find the folder that houses the folders data/com.dropbox.android. I created a folder on my device and when naming it, it also renamed an important folder. Now my thumbnails wont load for dropbox and a few other things were moved. like com.google.android.youtube. Important things. Can some find the folder that those are suppose to be in? Weird how it let me rename it. I try renaming it now and it errors. So im just gonna copy all the files in there and move the to the new CORRECT folder. Please and thank you.
99% of the com.anything folders are located in Android/Data/, so in your case, it would be Android/Data/com.dropbox.android

What's the difference of /sdcard/ to /storage/emulated/0/ folders?

I have MI5 with Global 8.2|stabe (8.2.2.0)
In gallery I see a folder twice:
1. Contacts which in folder: /sdcard/Images/
2. Contacts_32 which in folder: /storage/emulated/0/Images/
Why is it? How can I delete one of them with losing it all? I don't want to delete one of them because a few month ago I deleted a duplicate folders and I lost it forever (both).
I had mi cloud earlier and this folder kept in cloud but it's not anymore...
Thanks in advance,
Dome

Android is built on virtual file paths, which means different paths can contain the same files because it leads to the same place on your storage. Does it make sense now?
Actually no, it's not make sense because these "duplicate folder" aren't identity: one folder have some other files which doesn't exist in the other folder... And both folders appear to me in my gallery (which annoys me to see "duplicate" folders)

Screenshot location

Hey! Is there a way to change the default location of the screenshot? I can't use Google photos properly like this, it keeps on sync my screenshot folder.
Tnx.
Screenshot location can vary. For me it's Pictures/Screenshots. I can (and have) disallowed Google Photos from syncing that folder. Where do your screenshots go?
It's going to DCIM/screenshot.
And Google automatically backup this entire folder so, it's a problem for me.

Make a file called .nomedia in the Screenshot folder and sync will ignore it. It will also mean it won't show up in gallery apps.

Did not work, I have created a new folder named .nomedia and the gallery is still showing it.

A file, not a folder. Inside the screenshots folder make a file called .nomedia.
It's a built in method in Android to exclude folder contents from certain apps.

Yeah had to download a new file manager to craft a file, but unfortunately the Google photos is still showing and backup my screenshot, even tho the gallery isn't showing them.

Works fine for me. I made a new folder in DCIM, created the .nomedia file, then copy/pasted in some random pics. Google Photos doesn't see the folder at all.

So you have root? Maybe it's connected to it, this is so weird
You can try pinsyncScreenshot app from play store
Did you resolve this? I have the same issue with my POCO F1 and it's driving me nuts

Sad to say, but I solved it using "Auto File transfer Lite" (Search at google play)
It's not the best solution, but at least is an acceptable workaround IMHO.
Just hope some day Google allows to select DCIM subfolders to sync or Xiaomi to change screenshot folder destination.
Screenshots not showing in gallery
I faced an issue of , screenshots not saving in screenshot folder.but after deleting ' .nomedia ' file from the file manager i could now see the screenshots in my gallery

Well, it didn't work. I was successful at deleting the obb folder first. Then I copied the obb I have for my game then tried starting it. The file I copied just suddenly deleted itself from the obb folder.
Now, I can't also delete the obb folder.
And can you copy files to it now

Still not. I was only able to copy files after deleting the obb folder for the first time. Then, after that, Im not able to copy again.
I wish someone could help me.
create a folder on adnroird named something else, then copy the folder that u want inside there and after that rename folder obb and it works
Try using a computer to transfer your files to OBB folder.
