I'm searching a Tool to auto switch network 2G <-> 4G when enabling mobile data? - Tasker Tips & Tricks

I'm searching a Tool to auto switch network 2G <-> 4G when enabling mobile data?
Hello everybody. I want to greatly improve my battery life so my mobile data is mostly off and I select 2G network... And when I need Internet I quickly switch to 4G, browse Internet, and when I finish I switch back to 2G.
Is there a way to automatically switch to 4G when I enable Internet, and then switch back to 2G when I disable it?
Thanks.

These two threads talk about toggling network mode.

[Q] LTE/3G switch issue

Hi, I have an F340L and from the hidden menu I've set the Data connection to Global+LTE. When I'm in an LTE area the phone automatically connects to the 3G network and not to 4G. In order to make a 4G connection I have to enter the hidden menu, set it to LTE only, the device reboots and then the LTE connection is possible. Why is that? I mean why the device prefers 3G in an LTE area and needs the above procedure. Is there anyway to bypass that without a reboot or even automatic 4G connection? Any workaround, input or comments are welcome.

Problem with 4G

Hi, I realized that when I turn off the 4G network data the phone changes to 3G, then if I turn on data again it turns 4G on after 20 seconds.
I had tried to use the *#*#4636#*#* method and put "LTE only", it works, but after I turn off data again the setting returns to GSM.
Other phones have 4G network ON don't matter if data is on or off.
There's a way to force 4G network all the time like the other phones have?
Well, like no one has the answer, I had found a workaround:
The app Intelli3g is the answer!

Galaxy Note 5 don't auto switch 3G to 2G when weak 3 sign ( in 3G/2G auto Mode)

Hi all,

I'm sad, because each time so I had to switch manually to 2G Only Mode.

How can I neable just 3G/4G network mode on my SM-N920G?

Hi
I'm trying to get the best Internet connection on my phone. My carrier doesn't support voice over LTE so if I set the Network mode to LTE only I got no calls incoming or outgoing.
The other options I have are 2G only or 3G only, which makes my LTE data plan useless.
Best option is to have it configured to 2G/3G/LTE, but the problem is that when I'm usually stuck with an excellent 2G connection (with useless internet), instead of a not lousy/not great 3G connection, which still has better Internet speed and stability than 4G.
I'm looking to have my phone only see 3G/4G and not 2G, but I don't have a network mode for that. How can I enable the network mode I require?
I'm rooted so if I can enable it somewhere in the system, that is an option.
Thanks in advance

What's a good app or method to toggle 2G/3G networks on the Mi 5?

I switch between 2G/3G networks often since a 2G connection is quite network efficient.
So I want to save the hassle of navigating to the preferred network option in Settings.
Not sure if I would like to root my phone for the same.
Thanks
