Bluetooh volume problem - Realme X2 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi people,
So i got my new Realme x2 Pro yesterday. Overall i'm really happy with the phone. Today when commuting, i used the bluetooth earphones (sony wf1000-xm3) and... Surprise! the maximum volume is a third of what it was the they before yesterday with my htc u11.
I'm pretty sure it's an option of the OS that is screwing me up, but cannot find the fix. Someone has a similar problem to mine and a way to solve it?
i tried:
- disable the dobly atmos options in sound settings.
- on developer options: disable the absolute volume.
non of them worked.
Oh, forgot to say: I'm on the European version of the OS

I have the same setup and don't have issue with max sound .... have you tried putting the volume up via the headphones directly (touch gesture slide up on the right cup) ?

Hi Jake, It's The WF model, not WH (have them too). The WF does not have volume control (because there is no space to swipe)
but once i arrive home, i'll try what happens with the WH.

So, I'm trying now with the WH-1000xm3 and it's the same problem as the WF.
The maximum volume i'm getting is as best a third of what i had with the HTC U11.
There is something very wrong here.

So, at the end really was a problem with the headset.
no problem with the phone bluetooth.

Hi
I have experienced the same problem with a set of Bose earphones and a bluetooth speaker. The volume is significantly less than when these devices are used with any other mobile phone.
It is categorically an issue with the OS (unless I am missing something flagrant, or worse yet it is a hardware issue). Grateful for anyone's advice.

verify within the app of bose the volume of the headset (if you have the option there)

Thanks I will look into it, but these are fairly simple bluetooth earphones, not aware of any app optionality.
I note the December ColorOS updates included a bug fix for "low sound when connected to AirPods2 headset".
Would imply this is a wider issue.

I came across the same problem with the WF-1000XM3. I managed to fix it by changing one of the touch functions of the earphones to volume control. Then I just adjusted the volume on the earphones to the max and now I have full volume.

[Q] Low bluetooth volume (Navigon directions barely heard)

Hi guys! Need a solution or a direction to further dig the problem.
The issue: Navigon directions are barely heard on my car stereo via bluetooth. Music sound volume over bluetooth is ok, call volume too. There are separate volume adjustments within the app's Iphone version (system and Navigon) that are not present in Android.
Device: HTC One Dev Ed, stock 4.2.1 rom
Thanks!

Nope. The problem is within android Bluetooth, there are rumors that it is going to be solved in key lime.

I did find that while voice is speaking (press the icon in the bottom left to make it speak) you can press the volume up. The internal app volume will then increase.

Can anyone exploit a bluetooth volume glitch on the xperia T stock firmware

I am wondering if anyone can exploit a glitch in the bluetooth audio volume on the xperia T
As most of you will no doubt be aware the bluetooth volume is rediculously low on the xperia T, i believe its low on most android phones?
However I have found that with all of volumes at max, If I go to setting, sound, volumes then set the ringer volume to max the volume to the bluetooth headphone literally doubles
Is this something that can be exploited by someone who is in the know?
I am desperate to get more volume from my phone via bluetooth as my headphones are very quiet in comparison to my old nokia n8, but more importantly music is rediculously low when connecting my phone to my car via bluetooth, its such a shame as both worked so well with my old nokia I would love to find a way around this problem.
Thank You

Try installing xposed framework and finding the mod that allows the advanced volume control. It seperates all the volume streams so blutooth volume is not linked to other volumes.
Search for it in google or the themes and app section

When connected via bluetooth I get the bluetooth volume adjuster on my phone when I use the buttons, however this is already at max, with all volumes at max it is still very low, however just pressing the ringtone volume, even without adjusting it as it is already at max, it plays my ringtone for a second thn suddenly I have twice the volume, despite all volumes including bluetoth were already at max, suddenly I have plenty of volume?

This app does a nice job of setting media volume to max and works superb, however it hasn't solved the issue, even with all volumes set to max the Bluetooth volume is still very low, however just touching the notification or alarm volume slider and letting it beep, then doubles the output.
I have just flashed .145 Rom and kernel hoping it would fix the issue, but it still persists. Does it not do the same for everyone else?
I.e start walkman with Bluetooth headphones or car connected, start playing music, then go to settings, sounds, volumes and adjust the alarm volume, then the volume has Bluetooth output volume has suddenly doubled?
It didn't do it on custom Roms for me just sock ones, custom ones stayed quiet no matter what
"just touching the notification or alarm volume slider and letting it beep, then doubles the output."
THANK YOU! Fast little work around to get true max volume on my Xperia T. Can't believe Sony hasn't gotten this sorted after many updates. I can finally use my Jambox again haha!
The low bluetooth volume is a known issue on JB FW's for Xperia T. (read somewhere its related to actual JB rather than Sony only).
My fix for it is..connect BT headphone.. take a quick call.. just dial something for even a second n end...n volume increases on BT..

Yes, same problem, loud call volume on headsets
Yes, noticed it on my very first call. Couldn't reduce the volume enough to be comfortable.
I also noticed that there are far fewer levels of volume available on the phone volume slider compared to for media volumes etc.
I needs a software fix or could someone suggest a volume control app or alternate dialer app?
I will look at the other threads / oneplus forum and comment there too, Cheers, S
I feel its OK and normal. Don't hear it too loud.
Same problem here, using the ear buds bought from OnePlus. Can barely put them in ear for calls. Extremely frustrating considering we can't edit the step sizes in OOS either.
Video call today with Hangouts with my wife and it almost blew my ears!
I instantly pull of the earphones from my ears.
What is even more disturbing is that the volume controls don't change ANYTHING. All reduced to lowest and the volume doesn't change a bit...
What is wrong with OnePlus?

Brand new OnePlus 5T. Used headphones on a call. nearly blew my ears off. Anyone know of an app to override the settings and make the volume lower?
All the people having this issue, are you using the EQ when listening to music and possibly not disabling that on the voice call?
I've never listed to music on the phone. I have an app for audiobooks but no EQ with it.
Solution for call headphone so loud
Hello,
The only one solution that I have found, is to root the phone with in order to install the Custom Kernel : Boeffla-Kernel
The App of this kernel let you reduce the sound of the headphone output so in communication with headphone you will have a volume as low as you want.
May be that others custom Kernel permits to do that,
Enjoy,

Headphones volume is extremely low

I have a big problem with the Mi A2 - it's really quiet using headphones (through the stock adapter). It's not headphones problem. Now, the question is, is that because of the software or maybe because of the crappy adapter? I need the people from EU country to speak here because maybe it us because of the stupid EU law.
Noticed this too. You get a slight improvement with viperfx and master gain /xloud , but that's all I found out.
Now, even if I am a pretty solid fan of Jack + high end headphones, we are in 2018, moving to BT headphones with Bt 5.0 is the way to go. On this matter. Having aptx advertised and not able to use it without build.prop tweak is a more serious matter IMHO ??
Still Loving my mia2 everyday more tho. This thing is getting faster everyday and having the governor set to ondemand + touch boost disabled make it fast as hell and crazy battery performance (getting solid 5-6 hours SOT)

I love my Mi A2 too but I swear I can't listen to the music because the volume is so damn low. While you are rooted, could you send this file - system/etc/mixer_paths_tasha.xml and this system/etc/mixer_paths.xml? I am sure low volume can be fixed by editing these files.
They can be stored in this place too - vendor/etc

This problem is something I struggle with too. Might it be the usb type c adapter to aux which is the problem? Can anyone try with a different adapter and report back? I am using Xiaomi mi in ear pro headphones. I need to use max volume to have a volume which I consider medium.

I just got my Mi A2 and the audio volume seems very low when Bluetooth paired to my cars stereo. Maybe halve the volume of my old LG phone. Very weird since the audio volume thru the Mi A2's built-in speaker is VERY loud.
Stock dongle's output is slow. Get some other 3rd party and sound will get louder. I have bought and its sound is quite louder than stock's one.
Sent from my Mi A2 using Tapatalk
I just got google's newest dongle, it is good. The volume, while not overwhelming, is certainly loud enough with music. Dynamic Range seems quite improved also. I figured for 12 bucks, not much to lose. But turned out improvement for sure.
Mi A2 audio quality
I am currently using the stock dongle and mi piston fresh earphone on my Mi A2 for music. The audio quality is really poor. There's noise and audio is muddy. Is anyone experiencing this and is there a way to improve the audio quality?
I used the headphones of the leeco le Max 2 type c and it sounds wonderful ... but when using the adapter for my headphones Xiaomi sounds very slowly

This doesn't help at all. You'll still end up being stuck with SBC or AAC codec.
I recently converted my phone to Mi 6x and flashed AospExtended v5.8 Rom. Now LDAC is working perfectly with my sony wh1000xm2 headphones and volume output from stock dongle has increased to normal levels. So finally I'm able to use my MI A2 for listening music and I don't need to carry my old Moto X play with me just to use spotify.
I don't think problem is low quality of stock dongle. After all it is just simple adapter and it shouldn't have any or very little difference on audio quality (audiophiles may have different opinions). And I also had very low volume via bluetooth on stock rom.
I'd really love to use the stock rom because the stock camera is much better for day to day use than these buggy gcam ports, but low audio output makes it impossible. Mi a2 is great phone with ****ty firmware and I don't have any high hopes for Xiaomi to fix these bugs. Maybe in the future when development really kicks in we got rom wich is capable for music and photos.

Bluetooth Sound not Loud enough

Hi Guys
Since one Week i got the Huawei P30 Pro and some sony wh-1000xm3 Headset that are connected with Bluetooth. The Volume is way to low and i was wondering if someone has an idea. All the things that are mentioned in others threads where made. I joined the developer mode to change the bluetooth limitation but i didn't saw no change.
I used a PreAmp App but the Sound is getting very crispy and bad as soon i put up the Amp. I'm pretty frustrated because it's not working. With a cheap Headset (JBL 50$) the Music way better and louder.
What i did not tested was the Wired connection between Phone and Headset but i will test that and let you know. Also i had not the time to test with another phone to make sure it's not the headset itself.
Someone got an idea what i can do because i'm playing with the idea of giving back my phone if there is no solution to it.
Thanks in advance for any possible Idea.

Hi
If you read my Text correctly i did that allready. I gave back the Headphones today and got them changed.
Ater that i visited a bik Market and tryed out allot of other models over my Phone + USB-C to 3.5mm Jack and they where sounding awfull. Funny thing is when i got home i tried the ones that came with the Phone and they Sound amazing. They Airpod style and i don't like how i have to wear em but the sound was brilliant.
So i think Over Ears with USB-C will make the thing but it seems to be dificult to find em.
Hey, I had the same problem with those Sony's with my Sammy s9 and never managed to get it fixed but since I got the p30 pro it's been fine. Much better volume now. No help for you but lots of sympathy. I know how bad it sucks.
I have been using the b&o E8.2 for about 6 months now with my p30 pro I haven't noticed any low volume issue sound is just magnificent

Did you try bluetooth absolute volume enabled? ( I did that for my airpod pro is it's much louder than before you can find that under the developer mode assuming you already have it enabled. Once you enable make sure you restart to get the results.

Hi
Yes did that and it gets louder but the sound gets dirty not hearable for my ears. I want both things clear and Loud sound.
But i think i got some sort of solution buying a DAC lie the Ibasso oder the Meizu that amps up that stuff.
News
Hi Guys
So i got some News. I had the Chance yesterday to test some Headphones. All the Wireless ones are not Loud enough. Also the ones that i could test with a USB-C to 35mm Jack adapter and a cable from the Shop itself where also horrible to listen to.
I also picked up that USB-C to 3.5mm Jack Adapter from Huawei itself and with my JBL headset the Sound is almost Loud enough and Clear. But i found a Thread in a Hifi Forum and i think the Piece of hardware i need to get some decent Sound is a DAC. That is a Digital to Analog Converter that amps up the Music without distorting the Sound. There are several Models and if someone is interested i would have a look at this thread in here .https://www.head-fi.org/threads/usb-c-to-3-5mm-adapters-dac-lets-find-the-best.908839/page-30.
For me i decided that i give up on that Bluetooth and Wireless Crap and simply get a decent Wired Headphone with a DAC. I think that will do the Job.
There are HTC and Hidisz USB C to Jack adapters available with a built-in DAC. They both work brilliant with the P30 pro
did you notice that your Sony headphones have their own volume? try to "volume up" pressing your headphones
On the other hand, I tried different headphones (airpods pro, freebuds 3, airpods 1...) with Huawei p30 and p30pro, and I had volume troubles with the p30pro, the volume was too low; with P30 the volume is perfect... I dont know why
