Frp unlock - Honor 9 Lite Guides, News, & Discussion

Frp unlock is simple. Boot to recovery, select safe mode. When in safe mode turn off device administrators, wipe any Huawei account and all others, enable Dev mode, then ADB, make pattern unlock, force close Google account manager and clear cache, data, same for Google play services, reset phone from settings, that should do it. I did it with latest firmware and updates also on the P-smart 2019 and p8 lite.

Mi 5 stuck in airplane mode

Hi, just got permission to unlock and flashed China Dev ROM. Everything was well when the phone cant verify my account in the setup so after reading the Mi Forum, advised to turn off wifi/celular data to skip the steps but still wont work. So I turn on the airplane mode and after a few tries, I got through. After everything done it asked again to verify the device as it is associated with an account (mine) and to enter password.
And the nightmare starts, it can't verify my password because no network...because I did not turn off the airplane mode. I can't access the phone to turn it off or do anything, its locked coz it cant activate the device. Its not bricked or anything just locked.
So my issue now is turning off the airplane mode to unlock the hpone. Any ideas how to turn off the airplane mode via fastboot etc. Or to brick it so I can unbrick it. The only thing I can do is boot to fastboot and the verification screen.
What I have tried (and failed):
-Flash new rom via Mi Flash (can't because device is locked)
-Unbricking via fastboot edl (same as above)
-Hard reset (nope as no recovery as bootloader is locked and can't install custom recovery via)
-ADB (nope as debugging not turn on)
-Unlocking the bootloader since I got the permission (stuck at 50% and the general consensus is u have to login into the phone which I can't)
-I did turn off the phone by detaching the battery cable and removing the whole mobo but nope, nothing's change.
Help please or I might call it a day and buy a Samsung
Thanks!

Come on.
You will not be able to unlock your bootloader once you forgot to enable the OEM.
If your stock recovery is intact you can use the force update "dload"
If it does not work, it is because your stock recovery is corrupted or has been replaced in this case your only option is DC Phoenix.
You need 15 credits if you do not have a Dongle, you will receive a username and password. DC Phoenix allows you to flash the UPDATE.APP even with the bootloader and FRP is locked.
Fastboot mode.
Good luck!

[PROBLEM] Unable to access Mi5 after lockdown

My phone had a global stock rom and yesterday updated it to MIUI 8 Global Stable ROM V8.2.2.0.NAAMIEB via OTA (new device).
Secured it with fingerprint and a long password. (why oh why)
The phone is not in developer mode I can remember because last security check it did automatically disabled it and I didn't enabled it back on.
It has fastboot installed but is not rooted.
The phone is encrypted and after reboot asks first for password to be entered but it doesn't recognize the passw I set (my fault probably although I don't understand how because I first saved it into keepass)
Any hacks/solutions because adb or fastboot doesn't recognize the device without dev options/usb debugging ??
Is the bootloader locked or unlocked?
You can format data in TWRP to decrypt data.

It's locked, I've send xiaomi an unlock request but it's not in developer mode and usb debugging is disabled.
Update: The phone isn't registered or logged into my mi account because I just made it so Unlocking won't work the way I understand.
So current phone status :
Protected by fingerprint and password.
Not in developer, usb debugging mode.
Locked bootloader and not linked before with mi account for unlock tool.
Bluetooth and Nfc disabled (just saying)

Does MI Unlock App then even work ??

Okay but I don't think it looks good
I've tried everything I'm able to do (what I know) but can't get it to work.
Unlock tool says the phone is not linked with an account.
MiFlash says the phone is locked (fastboot)
Adb Sideload has no permission neither because of lock.
My own fault probably but not happy the least I can say brrrr

power+vol.UP holding and then wipe data seems to solve the problem if your phone is in this state. It just wipes all and restarts in initialization mode (first start).
Didn't know this would be that easy, I just didn't want to wipe it before ...

Can't do that without accessing recovery, which I can't since the bootloader is locked. And I can't unlock the bootloader because developer options isn't turned on (no USB debugging or OEM unlocking). I also can't reset it through Mi Cloud because the phone wasn't on a Mi account.
That's one relative who was so excited to get the phone they bypassed me into setting it up properly, and now I'm stuck with a problem I can't solve.

I don't know about the redmi but the mi5 goes into some rescue mode by holding power+vol.UP even with locked bootloader.
You have three options then:
- Reboot
- Wipe all
- Connect with MiAssistant (when you connect then with pc adb says you're in sideload modus but you can't actually push a recovery because of the permissions)
Wipe all recovered the last installed rom into initialization on my mi5.

Unfortunately, the Redmi Pro doesn't go into a rescue mode, so I don't have any of those options.

impossible to restore to stock firmware

Hello everybody,
I have a P9 that mounted twrp and magisk.
Needing safetynet pass, i decided to make a factory reset of my phone and to try again the rooting. Unfortunately i discover that Huawei had blocked the bootloader generator of codes and now i have a phone, that is switching ON, but missing a lot of apps (calculator, clock, recording voice, etc...).
Also commands like *#*#2845679#*#* to try update from there not working (not appears the hidden menu)
I tried to restore (finding my exact firmware) via dload but everytime i get error at 5%. Via OTA update same errors.. Now i have the phone in Bootloader LOCKED.
Can someone helps me to install again the full stock firmware in my phone. Thank you so much

Before Factory resetting you had to uninstall Magisk and to flash stock Recovery...
You can't apply DLOAD to builds that are not FulOTA_MF_PV (and most new builds are no more PV)...
Since you prevoously had TWRP, you did have Bootloader unlocked - just use the same code (you had to save it when you obtained it from Huawei) and unlock the Bootloader again.
If you didn't save Bootloader, this time you will have to buy 4 Euros credit and get it from DC-unlocker

If you are on Nougat, when you buy the code and unlock Bootloader, then flash TWRP and use HWOTA method to recover stock ROM
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rom-huawei-p9-magicrainbow-v4-t3759292/
If you never ever want to root, then you could try to save 4 Euros (not unlocking Bootlader) and
a) Settings / Advanced Settoings / Backup and Reset / Factory reset and accept to Wipe Inetrnal memory
b) Boot to EMUI Recovery (switch off, boot by pressing Vol+ and Pow) and choose Factory reset
But not sure would it be able completely restore stock ROM (apps you are missing).
Also c) Switch off, connect by USB to charger, boot by Vol+ and Power, it should boot to Huawei eRecovery. Then download (over WiFi) and reinstall stock.
But I will prefer getting Bootloader code and then using HWOTA.
When you have unlocked Bootloader, if things go wrong, you have more options to unbrick the phone if it becomes necessary

I've solved with Firmware Finder, taking a FULLOTA-MF Update and following the guide inside the app. All the stocks application are now restored. Thanks

Did you use Proxy or DNS method in FF?
Using DNS Method, and downloading all three zips

FRP lock

FRP lock (factory reset protection lock)
The main issue facing on roll backing is frp issue
FRP lock is one which forces device to check for update and stuck on it on startup
We can ensure that the device is in frp lock by viewing a lock symbol on statusbar(check attachment)
This happends because you are used roll back without removing your google account from settings
FRP erase is possible through ostla but it may cause brick on some device
So we have to go for another way
Instructions-
-Flash oreo using ostla (skip if you are in oreo)
-Reset device
-Update device to pie (recommend to flash 339B firmware)
-Add your google account
-Untick the backup to drive option on your first boot setup
-Remove your google account
-Reset
Go for the rom or gsi you want:laugh:
