Huawei Mate 20 Lite stays black and ob pc it Shows "USB SER" - Huawei Mate 20 Lite Questions & Answers

Hi,
So I had a Problem that my huawei (Working Phone) soft bricked himself over night. It was on his charger over night and worked fine on this evening... on the next morning I want to check my calender and the phone was already on the huawei logo... I think ok it does a reboot and locked himself. Than I forced off the device with power + volume up. Reboot instant after that and still stucked so ok I am soft bricked now. After searching a bit on Google it sad delete your cache via recovery. Problem I can't enter recovery or eRecovery only fastboot is available. Going into fastboot try the hisuit from huawei with the result phone not supported. But after that try on the white fastboot screen stand's "entering recovery mode..." so i let it do his thing... After many hours I came back and there it was the emui recovery. I decided to only clear the cache and boot. Again soft lock on logo... After that I tried again fastboot -> hisuit that doesn't work that the phone says entering recovery mode... -> but nothing happened...
I came back after the next work day...
The screen was black and I can't boot it anymore (still lie on my desk since first soft brick so yeah I am 100% proof the display will work) I plugged it in in my pc and it says now USB SER typical driver not found error code from windows...
IT will react when I force it with power + volume up only with dc from pc and reconnect in USB SER
Anyone any ideas to fix this hard brick?
Model: SNE-LX1
FRP and Phone locked
Stock Rom on it !
And If it possible I will let it as stock as possible (as I said it's only a work phone!)
Thanks for all the help !

Huawei phones just aren't what they used to be... Some time ago their unlock policy vanished into thin air, then came alligations of spying, a trade ban in the US, and I've even heard rumors about them trying to make phones brick themselves after installing custom software. ?
Sadly, I can only recommend to stay clear of their devices until this whole situation improves...

I actually have the same issue, my phone downloaded the latest update and I scheduled it to auto update at midnight, next morning when I woke up,was surprised coz my regular alarm (from phone) didnt woke me up,so I grab my phone and saw it was dead, but it was full charge, then it didnt open anymore, and I tried to do all the reset or hard recovery technics on the net but it still is bricked. If I plug it on a computer it only says usb ser.. I guess its how the company makes money by destroying their own system,so you'd buy a new one,coz you cant access your data or all your files from the old one,so you would buy a new huawei again,to retrieve your files.

USB SER is testpoint mode. Idk how, but you have closed the service mode contacts. In general, this is solvable, in the service it should not cost a lot of money.

Samsung note 5 cannot open whatsoever!

Hello, new to XDA and hope I can get some solutions for this goddamn phone!
It's been a few weeks since my phone is in a useless state, and whenever I open my phone, the screen stays completely black and for some odd reason, the blue light on the top corner is on. The phone gets warmer, and it just stays in that state. For hours. Unless I hold volume down + home button, then start button altogether for 20-25 secs. Now, you can tell me to go to recovery mode by holding volume up + start, it doesn't work, I tried SEVERAL times. Phone cannot start. Nothing. There are no physical damages.
I did some research and it's most likely hardbrick, but since I can't even get to recovery mode or anything, it's not like I can even un-brick the phone. The only solution I see now is to send my phone to Samsung. I bought it online last December, so Samsung might tell me to buy a new phone with a discount, which is something I don't want to do, since there's still pics, notes and phone numbers in it. Is there any solution? Keep in mind the phone won't start or go in recovery mode. I'm dead srsly
Hard-Brick ------ Bootloader is corrupted, your device is permanently dead and unusable.
Only solution is to use JTAG to force your device to download mode.
Soft-Brick ------ Freezes to "Samsung . . . powered by Android" or Bootloops to samsung logo. .Can be recovered via Odin or restored via NANROID backup (if any).
Hard-Bricked phones are very difficult to recover. .

That sounds annoying. So it is hardbricked. Do you think I'm better off just sending it to Samsung? What are the chances for them to be able to activate my phone again?
Thanks.

Is my phone hard bricked? h81120p

Recently I was running Prometheus custom rom, until it started actin funny, so I attempted to reflash cause the phone was getting slow over time. Tried reflashing but it didn't work. Tried other custom roms but each and every one of them kept saying * such n such isn't responding... System UI isn't responding, etc* unbearably slow, I no longer had landscape, sound, and the flashlight didn't work.
re-flashed the h81120N kdz with lg up tool, and the phone initially wouldn't even start, had to re flash 3 times before my phone said I had some upgrades... so it upgraded me to h81120p. Phone ran like a charm and I got all functionality back.
I attempted to at least re root h81120p, it initially worked then the next day I take phone off standby, and it turns off and wont boot past the LG logo screen. if it does the screen goes black. I put the phone in download mode and run lgup, and reflash with a stock h81120p kdz.. sh1t still doesnt work, tried again, sh1t still wont work. ' ventually, phone stopped staying in download mode, and when it does finally get there, LGup no longer recognizes its plugged in * please connect handset*. TF? computer only recognizes "Qualcomm HS-USb QDLoader etc.." under "ports"
Did some googling and was linked to LG flash tool and to a site on here for a .tot restore, which linked to some Vietnamese site I cant read, and one you have to pay premium vip in order to download the file, file seems to not exist anywhere else on the net.
so here I am... Phone barely stays in download mode, when in download mode, ( after multiple attempts of removing usb cable and battery, holding up on the phone while trying different combos of plugging in phone/ cable)LGUP doesnt recognize it, phone does not boot past the Lg logo , a factory reset does nothing.
first my laptop fails, now my phone is gone. wtf? can anyone help?

P30 Pro suddenly turned off now in boot loop??

Anyone experienced this?
My phone suddenly turned off and now its in boot loop (Huawei Logo). I tried the volume up plus power button nothing happens.
sometimes it goes to recovery mode then showed the option to reinstall the software via wifi, format or reboot. So I tried every option which failed before I tried reinstalling the software via wifi, now its always stuck in bootloop.
I didnt install any custom roms or anything on my phone.
Have you tried a factory reset in Recovery mode?

Hi, I'm having the exact same issue. I don't know if it was because of an update or what. The phone is stuck in boot loop now.
I tried all the options by pressing VolUp+Power buttons. Wipe Cache/Factory Reset/Safe Mode. Nothing works. The phone is still stuck in boot loop.
Also tried VolDown+Power.
Any suggestions? Do any others have this issue?
Boot loop
Same here, out of nowhere, my phone shutdown and goes into bootloop. On my way to send this phone to service centre. Piece of crap, 3month +2 weeks?
What did everyone with the problem do prior to the bootloop? OTA update?

In mi case, was an OTA.
Update 9.1.0.185 (C431E4R2P2) is causing the bootloop.
I had to install manually an older version and it boots.
Complete garbage from Huawei...
Well that's scary! Installing OTA update causing bootloop!?
I haven't received it yet, should I wait/skip?
Same here. After updating to 9.1.0.185 (C432E4R2P2) my phone hangs in a bootloop.
What I have tried that did not help:
- wipe the caching partition via boot menu (volume up + power button)
- force re-install via boot menu (volume up + power button)
According to phone support at Huawei, they are working on 9.1.0.300 at the moment but the guy on the phone could not tell whether there is a fix for bootloop included and also did not share any release date.
Can anyone give guidance on how to downgrade *without* erasing all data? Unfortunately, I don't have a recent backup (yes shame on me; with my old phone I had setup automated backup but I haven't with this one yet.)

Huawei P30 Pro suddenly updated automatically. No button to cancel or whatever.
It's now working. No bootloop with version 9.1.0.185 (C432E4R2P2).
I don't know what is happening...
I'm in Brazil, I have a P30 Pro and the same thing is happening, after the OTA update the device is restarting forever ... There is no authorized service for imported devices here. I do not know what else to do
Having the same issue, P30 - it must have tried to update to 9.10.193 lastnight. it now forces into Erecovery - makes me "download latest version and recovery" which just fails over and over again. cleared cache, tried factory reset - tried everything possible and it just loops downloading the garbage software and then "verifying package failed" and starts again.
3rd update in 4 months thats broken my p30 - do they even bother testing any of the crap they forcefully roll out on people?
alguma solução para esse problema?? ou é hardbrick??? aconteceu o mesmo comigo no brasil.

Just a thought, I can boot in fastboot mode. Will I be able to flash a stock firmware to revive the phone?
I had the exact same problem. Phone was working perfectly fine in the morning. I then put my phone in my pocket to go to work and when I arrived it was stuck in the infinite bootloop. I couldn't turn it off and it would constantly boot to the Huawei logo on its own.
After many hours of trying I managed to get into recovery mode once. The options for Factory Reset and Deleting cache were greyed out. So i tried to update the software via wifi. When I tried to connect to my wifi it asked for the wifi password but my keyboard was unresponsive so I couldn't enter it. However, the backspace/delete key was working fine. I grabbed my other phone to turn off the wifi password and in that short time, the phone rebooted into the Huawei logo on its own and I couldn't access recovery mode again after 3 hours of trying.
Today I went to the Huawei service center and the technician told me that the problem was a faulty motherboard. So now I need to wait 1-2 weeks for them to replace the motherboard. The repair will be free of cost as my device is still under warranty. The technician told me the 2 main reasons the bootloop issue happens is because of a faulty motherboard or a software glitch. Unfortunately mine was a faulty motherboard

Oh no, I wasn't expecting this from a such a huge company. And as far as I know, Huawei doesn't have any international service warranty and It sucks because I have to be back in Indonesia to get it serviced. Thankfully bought mine April this year. I guess I have to change brand again.
Same problem and no solutions.
I bought mine in Malaysia and now on business travel to China. Works fine for the first 4, 5 months. Perfectly. Unfortunately, I went to South Korea last 2 weeks and my P30 Pro went into boot loop. No chance to start the phone. Contacted Huawei chat service, after troubleshooting they advised to send to customer service center. Suspected motherboard issue and will bring to service centre once I'm back to Malaysia. I didn't expect that P30 Pro could have this problem as my Mate 9 works fine for more than 2 years and still working. I didn't bring my Mate 9 while travel this time and ended up buying a new phone. Total waste of money.
Notes:
~tried soft reset and failed
~tried factory reset and failed

Exactly same issue here 2 weeks ago. Went for a walk on Sunday evening with my phone in my pocket and when I arrived back home my P30 (3-4 months old) was stuck in an infinite reboot loop (Android start screen appears every 5 seconds). Tried to shut down / restart with volume up / down options, but nothing seems to work. I will bring the phone back to the place I bought it and hopefully it will be replaced under warranty, but this really is a nuisance!
Cheers,
teq
BTW: No recent OTA that I can recall preceded this issue.

I think I have bricked my Mi 8 trying to change to a global ROM, please help!

Hi, I'm having a complete disaster today having tried to go from the latest stable Chinese ROM to a global ROM.
I understand that I need to unlock the bootloader, so after a fair while managed to do this. It didn't work on my PC but it did on my wife's. I really should have given up then. Sigh.
I think this unlocking did work as the developer settings say it's unlocked and when the phone boots up (when it did boot up) there was a little unlocked graphic at the top of the screen.
At this stage I thought all would be good. I have downloaded the MiFlash tool (2021.2.26.0) and the ROM below.
Mi 8dipperstableV12.0.2.0.QEAMIXM10.0GlobalDownload2020-11-23
I'm certain that I have the Mi 8 (and not the lite or other version) so this seems like it should flash?
After having to download a fix (something to do with drivers) I can see my phone in the Flash tool and can select the folder with the rom (before the fix any refresh would just cause my phone to say "any key to shutdown"). So I can click "flash" and keep everything crossed.
But, it doesn't work. Initially it seemed to progress but after about 10 minutes, with the status bat at ~95%, it gives a timeout error. I think - though I'm losing track - but I could still boot my phone up at this stage.
I did this a few times and the same thing happened. Then, I got a worse sounding error "Missmatching image and device". I kept trying and got this or some other instant error that I didn't note down.
After this my phone wouldn't boot up, it just goes into recovery mode. I do note that it I press vol up and power I get the option to connect to some windows app (this doesn't work) but curiously if I try flash from this state I get the same issue as above (it seems to work slowly but then times out).
So I'm at a loss and have a broken phone! Any suggestions would be very helpful to say the least!
I'll add that at the moment the phone is stuck with the fastboot logo on, so I can't even turn the damn thing off. I can try but it just boots up again into this screen :-(
Geeze, on about the 20th try the flash tool just hung so I yanked the phone out and now it seems to have worked. I'm keeping everything crossed right now!
Display fastboot logo, maybe it is not bricked.
"It didn't work on my PC but it did on my wife's. ". I had the same problem when I unlock the bootloader. mi 8 not work well with usb3.0, suggest you use your wife's computer with usb2.0. OR patch you PC registry of windows 10 with attached bat file.
Are you a Chinese ?

Question Redmi Note 10 Pro - Stuck on Miui Logo

Hey,
I know there's a fair few threads on this but I've spent the past 7 hours trying to resolve this with all ideas I've found although to no avail.
My phone was on, working as normal although randomly it is now stuck on the Miui logo no matter what I try. It also freezes on fastboot.
The phone isn't detected by the PC now anymore either, the phone is only 6 months old.
Does anyone have any other ideas what I can try?
I've tried safe mode, reboot, fastboot, connecting phone to PC, having someone call me etc, no luck.
Fastboot is not "fast boot", it is a mode to install parts of the operating system from PC.
If your bootloader is unlocked, (unlocked lock icon at the top of the screen when starting the phone) you can download MIUI (Fastboot version) from https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/sweet/ and then extract the archive, and run the flash_all_except_storage.bat file from PC while the phone is in "fastboot" mode and connected to PC via USB.
If your bootloader is locked (no lock icon when starting the phone), then I'm afraid you're gonna have to reboot to recovery mode (hold power button+ volume up when restarting the phone) and select wipe data option which will erase all data and "factory reset" it. If that does not work, then MIUI is corrupted and you have no choice but to visit a Xiaomi phone service center.
You're in luck if you live in europe or china, since there are many official xiaomi stores, but if you're in america, there are currently no official xiaomi stores sadly.

....Boot problems can also have something to do with defective hardware buttons.

Enter recovery. (hold volume up and power) There is an option to reset data there. It will wipe the data in your phone, but should start you from scratch.
