That's custom resource, not firmware. It changes only icons, nothing else. Calling it a custom firmware is misleading and incorrect.
Custom firmware modifies/adds functions, this is not possible with Mi Band 4.

ok sorry

He's referring to an AOSP Rom, not the miui Rom
Yeah... I was hoping for a AOSP version.
I have researched and looks like there isn't even a cynogenmod.
I really hope they release the source codes soon.
Still waiting.....

That's mi note not pro
People on GitHub are pressuring Xiaomi to finally release the Note Pro kernel sources, so far to no avail unfortunately. Xiaomi did generally release the sources for their internationally-sold devices, not so much for the China-specific ones, whereas the Note Pro is only sold in China. Let's hope for the best though...
At least it's not MediaTek!
Sources released... What next? Whose gonna build the ROM?

Xiaomi.eu opinions

Im having serious problems with Custon ROM Mi5,s camera, so i considering come back to MIUI, i readed that xiaomi.eu are better than Official MIUI developper version, so i would apreciate if someone could talk about this ROM, battery life, stability and etc.. And can it be flashed by TWRP like a custon ROM?
xiaomi.eu support Camera 2 Api in the last weekly rom:
https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/7-2-23-24.38808/
If i flash by twrp, my bootloader will be blocked? That is any way to prevent that?

I can't isntall it.
Flashed it via TWRP. No error. ( Only command log error.)
But when I try to reboot system, TWRP says " There's no OS installed. "
What's wrong ?
I'll share Log next time.
Bug .. just confirm reboot and wait
And be sure that you have EXT4 and not F2FS !
What is the advantage of camera 2 Api when everyone is talking about it?

Additional functions in manual mode, much more than in stock camera!
I am currently using latest weekly from xiaomi.eu and it is running perfectly, also added Open Camera to test manual controls... very pleased with the results...
I readed that it blocks the bootloader, is it true?

No It's not true for Mi5. But it's true for Mi4c, Mi Note and some more.
Im really liking the ROM, im Sorry for not had tested sonner
Yes, xiaomi.eu is better than stock miui because it has additional tweak. Im using latest weekly update and it is much more better than stock miui. And camera 2 api is a great implementation
Is there any kinda official thread for MIUI EU ROM here in XDA ?
Can someone tell me which custom kernel competible with xiaomi eu ?

Depends on MIUI version, the-now-abandoned DragonXia for MIUI 8 worked, albeit not so stable. No idea about current one since all targets MIUI 9 and I'm still in MIUI 8 because I prefer waiting for stable release.
As far as i know there are only 2 kernels for miui. I personally idę naga v3 https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3673374
There is also psychedelic kernel https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3685099 i've tested IT and returned to naga. For me phone feels smoother on it. U should try both

Just to inform you all

This looks interesting, thanks for sharing.
Is this ROM safe? i mean, not a scam like SMIUI? I can't seem to find any thread for post/comment section on the website like here in XDA or xiaomi.eu.
I just installed this ROM.
How do I change the DPI settings?

Hi! Yes, OTA works fine. Epic ROM for Redmi 4 Prime works like Epic ROM for Mi MIX. This is not a port, this is Epic ROM project.
Many usefull tweaks and improvements/mods for MIUI official build for many devices.
I am working now over Mi MIX and Redmi 4 Prime... Soon, probably, also MI 6.

Can I flash customs roms without breaking my 4G band (band 28 700MHz)

I'm using a mi 9t pro global version and I wanted to install a custom rom, maybe xiaomi.eu but I don't want to break my 4G band. Does this rom change or disable some mobile bands? and if I flash stock modem or firmware on a custom rom would my 4G work?
Thanks everyone

LTE bands is 100% software. The hardware is the X24 modem that is part of the SD855 SoC and is the same for all versions of the phone.
The software is very secure and, so far, no-one has found a way to change or hack it, and it persists even when flashing MIUI from a different region. But it is still controlled by software alone.

Yes, they are safe from normal cross flashing of regional ROMs and/or vendor and firmware images. AFAIK they can only be modified by official Qualcomm software, which is not available to the general public.

Any custom rom ?

I don't think there will be any support because of your Mediatek processor
Or not

I was looking around to find a ROM to install on my Redmi 9. As stock as possible.
From what I red in this thread, it seems that it's currently impossible ?

Don't expect ROMs anytime soon without source code. Your best bet is a GSI but that's another story for MTK devices and Android 10 complicating matters further with dynamic partitions since the device was launched with Q. I'm interested in seeing someone successful boot a GSI on this device.
