Full-Port Switch Modem Config (VoLTE enabling) - Realme X2 Pro Questions & Answers

Has anyone managed to enable the Full-Port Switch on a Realme Device yet?
This is needed to configure the LTE Modem to enable a matching carrier profile that supports VoLTE.
I have the Qualcomm QPST PDC programm and know how to do it on a Oneplus device.
But I can't enable serial mode and the Full-Port Switch on my Realme X2 Pro.

Just do it without the serial port ON also can enable the volte and vowifi.

How?
Is there a "easy" way to do it?

I've read you must enable the diag/serial mode via editing the build.rop

how do you do it? ive been trying to figure it out.

Here is the tutorial I found.
The code to enable serial mode is in the 2nd code box.

Diag Mode on Cyanogenmod

Hi!
I have a Huawei g620s, very similar to the 4x, in fact it's now running a nightly CM12 that is made for the 4x and similar models, like mine. I am having some trouble because I am trying to use QPST to change some NV Values and in that way unlock some frecuency bands (This phone is from Europe and I am in America), but I can't find a way to put the phone in Diag Mode for it to be recognized properly by my windows computer to use QPST. Anybody knows how to do this in cyanogenmod and wants to help me?
did you fix your issue?

Samsung Galaxy J327t1 hidden menu codes working (T-mobile})

I havent figured out a root strategy quite yet but i am working on it. i do believe there is a way to unlock the bootloader and make it possible to flash custom recovery. I am just missing a few key things in regards to the Hidden Menus dialer codes. If you all could check it out and tell me if you find anything useful please let me know thanks.
Here is a list of the Hidden Menu Dialer codes i have found that work most with description. (some i am unsure of what they do)
*#9090# - Service Mode Diagnostic Control
*#197328640# -General Test Mode
*#0*# - Band Mode
*#7363# - Quick Test

**05**(msl/mmi/spc code)# -unlock Sim (mmispc)
if you dont have your T-Mobile sim unlock code then it is easy to get. Simply call your T-Mobile hotline from another phone. Request that you get a sim unlock code because you have accidentally locked your phone. they will have you go through instructions to reset that number. the 6 digit code that they give you will be your msl/spc code that is necessary to unlock your device.
Please try these hidden menu dialer codes and tell me if you come up with anything that i may find interesting towards rooting and oem unlocking the phone. thanks

Found this on android.stackexchange.com don't no if it might help
I found one clue about CP/AP, and it's from a discussion at Android Central. One Galaxy S4 user with AT&T in the US had to use this service menu to switch from CP to AP, in order for Samsung Kies software on the PC to recognize his phone. It kept saying SGH-I337 does not support initialising. It seemed to have something to do with a custom bootloader by AT&T, and it was probably set to CP mode by default. That's a clue, but not a clear fact. Switching it to AP made it recognized in Kies. – samirg Aug 31 '15 at 15:47

Maybe switching it will have u some kind if advantage with the bootloader I'd try myself but my cpu is down and out the moment
Using the *#0808# code of course

This actually isn't working on Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Verizon in 2018. It actually tries to dial an actual phone number, not go to the unlocker. What is wrong with the Verizon version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini? Why doesn't this work on the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Verizon on Android KitKat 4.4.2?

VOLTE I'm frustrated :(

To use volte in unreleased countries where Sony has not released the product, unlock and magisk must be used regardless of firmware.
There is no menu to use VOLTE, but you can force it by modifying the build prop. After that, you can open the Qualcomm Diagnostic Port (qpst, EFS Explorer) and replace the EFS file to use VOLTE.
Unlike xperia 1&5, the corresponding adb shell-su (setprop sys.usb.config rndis,eng_mode,adb) does not work on xperia 1 ii. I'm frustrated. Is the build prop USB item wrong? Does anyone know of a command to activate the Qualcomm Diagnostic Port? :crying:

Hello there,
I was tried to run init.qcom.usb.sh script under /system/vendor/bin folder, then unplug and re-plug USB, then run setprop persist.usb.eng 1 (under SU)...
OMG... got many devices and ports opened but don't take any drivers... please try by yourself... let me know the result.... as well there is init.qti.ims.sh that may related with IMS service

Before trying to modify everything, find out what modem config file your phone is using for your service provider. Type *#*#service#*#* in the phone screen and choose service info. Then choose software info. It should list at the bottom what your current modem config file is.
You need this information in order for you to figure out what settings need to be changed.

Seems to me, IMS service is not running on any firmware customization, as modem config is always shown as: ROW_Commercial, even tried to modify modem.conf file, apns-conf.xml.
Not sure, is it a bug or something intentionally left buggy to let us busy and makes Xperia 1 II more interesting to be customized ::lol::

Which string was written in modem.conf (edit: before you changed it)?
@htcmage It was much easier to modify modem.conf on XZ1 than the 'Qualcomm Diagnostic Port (qpst, EFS Explorer)' way.
You have to find the schema like this:
"[GUIDE] Enable VoLTE for your non operator handset" https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp.../guide-enable-volte-operator-handset-t3816565

My writing. Please refer to the post you left in the comments! The volte solution is This method is applied even if you do a Li-lock (however, it is applicable even in a Southeast Asian firmware version with volte menu).
Try to see if you can find the Dutch (T-Mobile) modem software (or firmware) and if you can flash it.
I'm with T-Mobile here in the netherlands and have VoLTE activated

Need help enabling LTE

In the area I live, the LTE towers use a band that is not available in my Mi 9 Lite (Global), and I'm trying to enable the band available in my area.
I started following this guide, but when it comes to open diag, I'm still receiving the error message, saying the diag failed to open, after I type the sequence *#*#717717#*#*, even after following the steps for rooted phones, using adb.
Can anybody help me on how to enable diag on Mi 9 Lite?

I could be wrong but I don't think you can just "enable" a band on the phone if the radio chip doesn't actually support it.

I have installed one ROM, that had all the bands available in my region, so I know this can be enabled for my phone. The only thing is, I don't want to be using the ROMs available, as I want to be using MIUI, as I got used to it by now, and I like it's functionalities.

Question Call recording Realme 8 Pro

Hey,
I saw a number of Youtube videos named "Realme 8 | 8 Pro call recording" from India where they show how to enable call recording even with Google Phone (by joining beta and just enabling the feature). I don't see that option on my phone (bought in Poland / UE with ROM compilation RMX3081_11_A.28 ). I also saw suggestions to change the location in settings to India but it didn't work. In some other thread there was and answer that this option could be enabled by editing two files but the phone would need to be rooted.
Are those videos fake or maybe it is possible to load different official ROM and have call recording enabled ?
Would it be possible to load one of these ROMs :

I tried to follow that guide and :
a) in step "go to download mode" : Unplug the USB connection - Press and click the Ver 1.2 at bottom :
I was stuck running QFIL and having no idea where to get "Programmer" and "build" files with black screen on my phone.
b) in the optional step " Or in the Bootloader interference when flashing throught Realme app :"
I downloaded the RMX3081_11_A.42 ROM from : http://www.frpbdteam.online/ and when tried to flash it I ended up with an error "realme flash cannot find central directory"
Cześć,
mam ten sam problem (również w Polsce). Czy udało Ci się go naprawić?
Pozdrawiam,
Marcin

Hi,
I have same problem (also in Poland). Did you manage to fix it?
Regards,
Marcin
Currently without extra devices, dongles ... the available process (official flashes) are to be done with system OTA update with VPN in Poland, Germany.
Or partialy manual flash via ozip in recovery.
Of course the official way with MSM (also paid).
Qfil and any firehose loader doesn't work good...
Oppo flash tools are only for the devices with unlocked bootloaders. RMX3081 still have none of the all and extra needed for above.
Thanks for a quick response. I'm not a professional IT specialist, so I'll be glad if you explained it to me like I'm a 6-year-old. My system is RMX3085. I used Cube ACR at my older Huawei Mate 10 Lite and it worked fine. Now I have Realme 8 for 2 weeks, tried 4 different call recorders and none of them works on Realme 8...
Fur sure, they all need root acess ... If you are talking to Realme 8, the root there is possible, but for RMX3081 is still not possible to do that.
Or use of the External app to like Realme Call Recorder to grant access to other apps ...
And acess to messages Haven't tried it, but know it will work even without root.
I tried Realme Call Recorder - the effect is the same - on recordings I hear only myself, I don't hear the interlocutor.
If the root is not possibile on RMX3081 then I suppose it's not possibile on RMX3085 either...
What do you mean by "access to messages"?
Root for RMX3085 is available also all other stuff ...

that seems interesting - would you elaborate ?
Lets say I run VPN to India on my router - would you say that in that scenario I would have some more options to change from GDPR rom to some other in which I would have call recording enabled ?

As a workaround I'm currently using ACR ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nll.acr ) with audio boost (15 dB) - you will find it in the app settings under recording. It listens to the speaker and the caller is hardly heard while my voice is too loud but it is enough if your call was in quiet environment.
