Gcam with triple lens support? - ZTE Nubia Z20 Questions & Answers

I have downloaded a Gcam mod with triple lens support but when I activate them the app crashes and I have to reinstall it.
Has anyone investigated about this?

You have to root and use magisk module to make the other sensors available for third party cameras. This is how i did.

Is Nokia 8 camera full manual?

Does Nokia 8 camera support full manual settings? Could you please test with https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.vipek.camera2_compatibility_test and show results here?
Also has anybody tried any 3rd party camera apps like OpenCamera, Camera FV-5 or those SnapDragon Camera ports which can be found here on XDA? Is photo quality different compared to Nokia 8 stock camera?
The pixel camera apk works but flash is iffy. There is another thread about the camera in questions n answers

I'm interested in this too - especially for Camera2 manual controls, bearing in mind that some devices may show full Camera2 compatibility, but there's still the question of whether it works bug-free. Third party camera apps with Camera2 are:
A Better Camera: enable Settings/General settings/More/"Use Camera2 interface".
Snap Camera HDR (Trial): enable Settings/Other/"Use Camera2 API".
AZ Camera: this uses Camera2 by default.
Footej: this uses Camera2 by default.
Open Camera (disclaimer, I'm the author!): enable Settings/"Use Camera2 API".
How do things like flash, manual shutter speed, RAW work on the Nokia 8? Thanks!

Thanks. I'm thinking about buying Nokia 8 at some time in the future and this full manual camera is the most important feature.
One more thing that the Manual compatibility test app does not show: does Nokia 8 support touch light metering? I.e. if there are light and dark areas in viewfinder, automatic light metering would burn the light areas. With touch metering you touch the light area and the result is more natural.
Shutter seems to be limited.
Cant exposure over 1s, hoping that update will fix it.
I think lg g6 have same sensor maybe im wrong but it will exposure 30s
Which camera app is best for manual controls?

In oreo beta, only build in camera app records video.

You xan test the cyanogen cam too...it has manual controls but still shutter speed limited to 0.1s

I have 7.1.1, latest from Nokia. It does not really hang, it just does not do anything when I press shutter button most of the time.

Camera app is extremely disappointing and needs an urgent update. This app freezes time and again which is quite annoying.

Do you mean the stock camera app freezes? Have you tried any 3rd party camera apps, do they freeze, too?
Try this if it helps:

After Android 8.1 beta, Any update about shutter speed support?

Mi 8 Lite enabling Camera 2 API causes front camera to stop working?

Just unlocked my Mi 8 Lite and installed phhusson's 9.0 AOSP treble gsi.
Tried to enable cam2 by editing the build.prop. The Camera2 Probe app returns a hardware support level of LEVEL_3.
Whenever I use any camera app, the front camera will cause the camera app to close / not load.
Is anyone else having this problem/ is there a fix for this?
I understand that Camera2 API is necessary to use GCAM.

48mpx camera doesn't work after messing with gcam

Hi guys! I tried some Gcam ports and after installing a conf file in the xcam6_beta5 app, my 48mpx camera just stopped working even in the stock app. Other Gcam apps can use it but it just magnifies the image and produces zero-quality pictures. What is more, when I open the stock app and go to the 48mp option, it uses the telephoto lens and captures a 6000x8000 resolution picture. I can't imagine how possible is this. Can anyone suggest some solution? FYI, the other two lenses work fine.
Edit: Just found out that standard portrait mode uses 48mpx camera but magnified like 3 times in the stock app.

No working telephoto or zoom lens

I originally used crDroid with microG, and the telephoto and zoom lenses worked fine with URNYX GCam 7.3.018 v1.5. I had some troubles with the ROM, so i formatted, flashed vendor, and flashed omniROM with microG. Now I am no longer able to use the telephoto or the zoom lens. When i try to open them in gcam, the app crashes. I have to clear the app cache and storage in order to open the gcam app again. I also tried to install the anx camera through magisk modules. When i try to open tele or zoom in anx, it just uses the standard camera.
Both the regular and front facing camera works fine.
I have included a log file where i have gcam open, and press the 2x button for zoom lens.
Anyone with a suggestion? Do I have to do a clean install again, or could I try something else first?
This was a problem with the rom, and is fixed in the latest update.

Question 3rd party camera apps - all lenses

Hi, I know there is already a similar thread,
but I wanted to know, if someone has actually run all three rear lenses in 3rd party camera app?
I know there are some ways to enable it (like this https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-enable-aux-camera-for-third-party-camera-apps.3846325/), but I suppose it would differ from phone to phone.
I don't own the X3 Pro yet, but I think I might soon
Thanks, Filip
I'm using the Greatness GCam mod. You can enable there the buttons for different lenses.
Be aware to use the alternative fix as otherwise the app crashes.
I didn't figure out how to set the 'stream configs' for the lenses
