the most reliable app for Mi Band 4 continuous heart rate monitoring - Xiaomi Mi Band 4 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Which would be the most reliable app for Mi Band 4 continuous heart rate monitoring?
Is there any non-Xiaomi solution, or we still have to depend on the official app?

I'm using Tools & Mi Band for it's Sleep as Android integration, but it also provides great HR monitoring.
I have also tried Mi Heart rate with Smart Alarm, for syncing HR with Google Fit, it works great if you don't need all the features in Tools & Mi Band.

Hi, I have a Galaxy Note 2 (duh) and I am getting into more running, and over-all health related activities.
I use Runtastic, and there related applications to track my information.
I am wondering whats the best device for tracking heart rate and all that information that works with those apps? I am asking in this area because at the same time I am looking for an arm band that can hold my note 2, maybe even have one of those heart rate/health devices attached to it the arm bad that supports the note 2 as well.
I hope I am making sense.
Ideas?
Thanks.

Running/Fitness App with Heartbeat support: Endomondo

After some hours of googling i finally found a good running app which support the Sensors of our Watch .
-I didnt test it really because it is already dark out there . But tomorrow or on the weekend I will test it.
It seems to be better than Runtastic,
but you need to pay monthly to get all features.
Runtastic allows you to get most features for a one time fee (5$/€)
It looks like Endomondo can record it for free (Be sure to activate it under smartwatch settings) for a detail view of you heart you need to buy premium though.
I did not find any other App that support measuring your heartbeat while making sports.
Play Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.endomondo.android
I hope this thread helped you
I use run.gps full also measures heartbeat with sensor of my G Watch R (after selecting in setup)
Can read all necessary info on your watch during workout.
Best regards,
Niels
last i checked, Endomondo does not support the lg g watch r at all for recording heart rate or anything. only thing i could get it to do is start/stop the run.

I thought the same thing too. I use Mapmyrun which just added Android Wear support. Seems to work great with my LG R watch. No heartrate support while running though. I just take at a few times during my run. easy enough..
If you have an LG phone (i.e. G3) the built it app (I think it's LG Fit rather than the LG Health app in the store) does this really well...but like I said, only on LG phones.
I used Strava before, but after seeing this, I started using Endomondo.
yes, it fully supports Android Wear, including the G watch R.
comparing it to Strava, the Endomondo wear UI is much nicer and it has that nice heartbeat tracking. However, the web UI is god awful!! Truly truly terrible!!!
Hope they will update it soon.

Endomondo works great with the "R" and has full heartbeat support when used during workouts. You just need to make sure you enable it in settings. It is not enabled by default. I used it daily and have for months. We have old threads here talking about Endomondo.
Endomondo and the LG G WATCH R
The watch has its own PGG based heart rate sensor (which doesn't work continuosly) and I want to purchase an external heart rate monitor like a Polar Bluetooth, which monitor will Endomondo use? Will Endomondo use the watch's monitor or the external (Polar)? Is there a way to override the watch's monitor because I prefer the external (Polar) and have a continuos heart reading? Would the watch display the external monitor's heart rate?
Thanks a Lot!!

I use the free version of Endomondo for cycling and it recognises and logs my heart rate all the time. It can be a bit laggy at times but works perfectly.

Well, I am not sure about Android gear, but FITSO is the best fitness app i have ever seen.
I have basically tried every fitness app out there, and they are all feeding wrong data (distance) as I am quite sure when I run for 900 mtrs, Strava, Google fit and all the rest shows 1 km whereas only FITSO shows 900 mtr. I know it was 900 mtr as its a measured distance and written on milestone. Similar case has been there multiple times.
Also, most of awesome features are locked behind premium version of all other apps except fitso which offers all the training plans and workout plans free with virtual voice coach.
In short, you guys should try FITSO app.
What about RunnerUp?
Hearbeat works great with endomondo and gwatch r.
I recommend a very flexible silicone watchband for sports because its more accurate when tightly attached to your arm. Silicone band makes it still comfortable and easy to clean.
BTW: If you setup endomondo you have to wait for the watch to download the app and start/update once before you can toggle the heartrate sensor function

Runtastic and heart rate monitoring

Does Runtastic use the built-in heart rate monitor of an Android Wear devices? If yes, does it do it constantly or only on-demand?
no, you can only track heart rate with google fit or the built in LG app... if you sync runtastic with google fit then you can have both heart rate and other stats in one place as android wear is not listed as compatible heart rate monitoring equipment in runtastic. hope it helps.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pnn.android.sport_gear_tracker SGT tracks heart rate and syncs with Fit, though Fit syncing seems buggy
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.endomondo.android Endomondo tracks heart rate. It syncs some details with Fit, but heart rate doesn't get synced
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jwork.wearable.heartratesync2 Heart Rate OS tracks heart rate periodically and syncs with Fit. It does not track anything else and it can't track heart rate continuously during a work out
There are no great fitness trackers that I can find for Wear
heart rate os2, seems to be working well, better than fit.

I got the LG Urbane and also the Bluetooth Heart Rate strap 'Polar H7' (which is amazing btw) but I couldn't find nether an Android wear app that can track the Heart Rate
Runtastic can track your heart rate on the phone continuously but since I don't want to take my phone with me, that kind of sucks :/

Anyone made progress on Urbane/Android Wear and heart rate? I have used RunKeeper app for a while, so that was my preferred site for syncing data to. I have a Polar H7 that RK works with and sync's charts up to their site.
I got a FitBit Flex wristband (no heart rate) about a year ago and have stuck with it and their app/site is pretty good too.
Google Fit site still hasn't caught up to RunKeeper or FitBit IMO.
And now with the Urbane, the heart rate seems a waste. Just the one LG app seems to have access to heart rate and the data doesn't sync anywhere. Urbane is too big to wear exercising but could be useful to get my resting heart rate sync'd to RunKeeper or FitBit every week to see if it is improving as I exercise more and lose weight.

I had written a very basic app that could track the heart rate from a Polar H7 or possibly other standard Bluetooth monitor.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jamesst20.heartratewear
It does not sync with anything, nor it saves anything. That's all I needed in that time

Cool, will try it out. Where do you find specs for H7 data? Wondering how hard it would be to make a sync app for H7 to FitBit.

There is no specs for H7 sadly. But it does use the standard bluetooth specs so you should rely on those

Not sure if it's what you're looking for,, but ghostracer can use the built in HR sensor or sync a bluetooth chest strap to track HR. I have an LG Urbane 2nd Edition and the built in sensor isn't very accurate but I've use the chest strap successfully. Ghostracer will also directly sync runs to strava, runkeeper or smashrun. I use SyncMyTracks to sync to other platforms like endomondo, Nike, runtastic etc.

Endomondo has full support for Android Wear heart rate monitor. It reads current and average result from watch's sensor. Also it shows proper Pulse zones in summary.
I'm using it while riding a bike. (Watch Urbane W150)
Note. You need to have watch's screen in always on mode to prevent application from going to sleep. I've noticed that once watch screen goes off app turns off sensor and reports only initial reading. (it's good idea to turn gestures off as well to prevent accidental exiting of an endomondo app).
I've written to Runtastic support asking if there are any plans for adding Android Wear heart rate monitor support. They are not going to add this feature in near future. Too bad. Cash goes to Endomondo
After testing a lot of apps, I think I finally found the best alternative (for me). Sportstracker can track heart rate in real time during workout, from my LG Urbane, and also from my Polar H7. The pro version only requires a one-time payment, so in the long run it turns out being much cheaper than Endomondo.
Lite version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sportstracklive.android.ui.activity.lite&hl=pt_BR
Pro version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sportstracklive.android.ui.activity.pro&hl=pt_BR
I also used Sync My Tracks, so I could import all my previous workout sessions from Runtastic.
You could try as well this Wear OS app: 'Heart for Bluetooth' (can be found on google play store)
It takes the HR data from the watch and sends it to Runtastic on your phone instantly via Bluetooth so no need to sync via other accounts like google fit..

Syncronizing Strava with Mi Band properly. Elevation gain and heart rate not showing.

Wrong place, this is mi 5, not mi BAND 5. Please delete.

Question Google Fit on Redmi Note 11

Hi Guys,
Now this one may not be a Redmi Note issue as such... and might be more software/Google issue...?
Does anyone on here use Google Fit, and if so, have you been able to get the Heart Rate and Respiratory Monitor to work, via just using the camera....??
So apparently, within Google Fit you can measure you're heart rate using just the camera, and supposedly it's fairly accurate according to reviews. As they compared it to Apple Watch and the real equipment....
According to Google's own wording in the App itself and various other publications via Google it appears it can work on any phone with a camera, it just depends on the phone itself. However looking at the external reviews they keep mentioning using Pixels to do this....
So just wondered, has anyone got it to work.... as I don't have the option/feature in the guide. I found out I had disabled access to the camera in App permissions. But since re-enabling and turning on settings within the App, it still don't show up...
Cheers, Lister
morning lister
i cant get it working either , set permissions and nowt appears when ya press add on home screen . i t might be pixel only .
not the answer i know but the Huawei band 6 app works great on it . got it on sale on amazon a while back ( 32.99 in Argos at the mo ), heart rate monitor does the job well enough , although ya have to download the app from Huawei site cause playstore versions outdated . but everything works , and battery lasts a good 10 / 11 days foe me ( they claim 14 )
