Live streaming of video

I have been searching and reading for a couple of weeks about this and cant seem to get an answer. It seems that everything is geared toward Youtube and Google video.
Is there a way with the kaiser to go to say CBS.com and watch the Masters on the broadband feed or to TSN and watch a hockey game?
Fogive me if I have missed it but a nudge in the right direction would be great.
no most of those websites are using programs and cookies you must download to view the videos, some are flash/java. most of this is based more on the browser you are using. Skyfire allows viewing flash sites, but i dont know how the quality of the video feed would look

can you save youtube videos?

thank you very much that is what im gonna do. thanx alot.
You can also try this program which you can use right on your phone to download vids from youtube and even other sites. So while you have service on your phone (say waiting in the airport) you can download vids right on your phone so you can watch them later on the plane.

YouTube "this video cannot be played"

both me and my friend are getting
YouTube "this video cannot be played" on some videos
What is causing this? is there a fix?
I can supply links to a video that doesn't play
Any ideas
Cheers
That may be due to your region..some YouTube videos are not allowed in some countries due to copywrite laws or censorship. If the same thing is happening on two different phones, likely it is not your phone that is the problem.

mostly my friends choice of pop music is not allowed
This is an option that YouTube gives content uploaders when posting videos. It's a specific option that goes some thing like "Disallow viewing content on mobile devices"
The reason this is done is because ads can't be played on Youtube mobile (whether browser or app) so they don't want to give you access to the video. The fact that it's mostly pop music makes sense, because recording labels and such will want to monetize their content, and mobile users represent a revenue loss.
The only way around it is to view the video through your browser while switched to a desktop user-agent.

I told my friend it probably had to do with 'advertising revenue' and 'control'.
Is there an easy way for her to view these videos? (or should i tell her to get a better taste in music )
Like I said, basically the only way is to watch it through "desktop Youtube".
Since we have Flash support, you can download an alternate browser like Dolphin Browser that lets you switch user agents and view the video from the full site.
There are also hacked browser.apk's out there with stuff like built-in user agent switching, 8 tabs etc.
Hope that helped.
had this problem works now

YouTube full screen?

I've seen several videos of people getting YouTube in full screen on their mix, how is it possible? I still got the black bezel thing on top and bottom, in full view mode? :/
No one knows?

Could you link to one of those videos? As far as I know, this is not possible. You have to either download videos first, and stretch it with a videoplayer, or you can parse the youtube link through one of those download services, then paste it in a player to stream it. Not a seamless experience exactly.
People say you can use certain web browsers (like uc browser, opera etc.) to open web videos in an external player, but I can't find the option in any of them. Maybe they have removed this option in later updates. I remember I could do it long ago. Doubt it will do youtube videos anyway. You get this sense that everyone wants to force you to use their own integrated player alone.
Anyone else who can point to a browser that can open videos externally? Just regular web videos?
Morning, about youtube, I like to ear movies as well but there is the touch issues... with SONY I have a smart app able to lock the screen from un-accidental touch, did we have app alike here?
Cheers,
Work with this modded APK:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-mix-2/themes/fullscreen-youtube-mi-mix-2-t3701979
You can do it without root on every video on Youtube !
Just activate the "Magnification gesture" setting and then triple tap whenever you want to "zoom in" a Youtube video,it will still crop a little part of the video to make it full screen if the ratio is not the same though.
Just install YouTube Vanced Rootless APK and the modded MicroG Google Service APK.
This gives you ad-free YouTube, background playback and full zoom to fit support.

Thanks man! Was using ogyoutube but this one is better.
You're welcome. This, retroarch with 2:1 ratio setting, moonlight with screen stretch setting and Netflix make for a brilliant multi purpose gaming and movie consumption device, as all of them will display content full screen.

Can only pinch-fullscreen youtube videos in native app - not from chrome, reddit, etc

So yeah title pretty much says it all.
I have installed Youtube Vanced, though. Not sure if that might have anything to do with it.
So basically if i launch youtube app and play a video, i can pinch to zoom and have it take up the whole s10 screen (with the camera cutout blocking a bit of the video).
However, if i am watching an embedded youtube video in say relay(reddit), or in chrome, it will not allow me to pinch-to-fullscreen.
Is this something everyone else is experiencing?
That's always how it's been. It's a gesture that works with the YouTube app; not the web-based player
Yeah. Use samsung internet because that knows how to open embedded etc. videos in youtube app for where you can pinch zoom any video

Or course it works. If an embedded video starts to play, just click on the title and it opens it on youtube app
I misread the post above I thought they were saying that you can fullscreen from embedded videos in the Samsung app.
I don't know why I would revert back to the Samsung browser when I can already just click the title in chrome if I want to launch the video in YouTube app.
Anyways, I now understand that if I want to use the whole screen to watch YouTube it needs to be done in the native app.
Thanks guys
