yes you can

No , you cant. The support for xposed finished on Oreo. But you can like me, install EdXposed which is port of Xposed for newer androids by other developer.

I use YAHFA hook on xiaomi.eu stable but the TWRP doesn't work well with encryption and a OTA update means you have to reinstall magisk

Are you using Mauronofrio's TWRP or Brigudav's one? They support encryption just fine.

There is essentially no point installing Xposed anymore. You should opt to use Magisk Modules instead. They are a lot better from my experience. Many of the Xposed modules are not supported by the later versions of Android anyways unlike Magisk Manager. If you are still persistent with installing Xposed, then use EdXposed.

There is a reason No Play Games and XInternalSD (for whatsapp to not waste my internal storage) this two just work fine and help a lot. But you are right many great modules doesnt work and this two modules are old too but working fine

You mean quequeing zips? 'cause you're not supposed to do that if both zips act on the System partition; you have to flash one, reboot to recovery and flash the other.
Brigudav's OrangeFox supports MIUI's OTA updates, FYI

Does Xposed work with ZUI?

I'm looking to buying this phone, the standard model, and i want to know if xposed works on the ZUI ROM? I've had experience with MIUI where it wouldn't boot after, so just making sure.
Thanks in advance!

Yes it does. I would make sure to update ZUI to the latest version FIRST then I would install xposed. The one issue I have experienced with xposed is that you cannot download and install modules on the installer. Modules have to be downloaded from a browser then installed like any other apk.

Thank you very much for your answer!
No worries about downloading the modules, i already to that via browser so i can deny internet access to xposed

Systemless ROM?

What is involved in taking a ROM, and making it into a systemless ROM module?
Can they be of a different Android version than the main ROM?
As far as I learned the Magisk ROM has to be compatible to your stock firmware and ROM.
And I can tell that they are possible. On the HTC 10, Team Venom build the fist Magisk ROM. They are now followed by LeeDrOiD and BadBoyz ROMs which are getting available as Magisk Module ROM, as well as as full ROM.
I can't tell you how they did it, as I'm not a developer, but you could ask in their ROM threads. Maybe they'll tell you.

OK. Yes it appears that their Magisk ROM is very specific to what is running underneath.
Thanks!

Yes and it'll always be, as Magisk adds/alters mount points on boot up, but otherwise uses the existing system and system files as well as data partition. Thus the ROM and Magisk Module got to be highly compatible. It's quite logical.

I guess I will have to be patient, and wait for the full Magisk multirom functionality to be developed!

Well, we'll see what pleasures this will bring. Would be nice to implement MultiROM via Magisk. Question is if it'll help. The new - Samsung build - Snapdragon 835 seems to come with a security chip, which will be able to recognize if you try to boot a custom ROM and won't boot the device at all in that case. As Samsung build it, I'd guess Exynos will have the same "security" feature.

If it is still "systemless", it seems like a Magisk solution could possibly be the answer. We shall see, I am wondering if the solution will be like the Magisk module ROM, but just replacing most everything, rather than just select parts.

Magisk with CM13 and Xposed

Hello guys. I'm tempted to install Magisk on my Zenfone 2 ZE551ML. I have the latest CM13 Nightly + Xposed and I want to ask if Magisk has any problem running alongside these two.
Another question is if I can still use the built in CM13 root.
Thanks for your answers!
Im running on CM 13 (ZenFone 2 Laser ZOOL) stable and it works fine.
The only problem is that with xposed active the safetynet check don't pass. But its just a matter of disabling xposed and rebooting when necessary.
I dont know if the differences are too significant, but hope it helps.

That means Magisk doesn't work with Xposed ? Or I just have to unninstall Xposed and then install again after installing Magisk ?

Magisk itself works perfectly with Xposed installed, only Magisk Hide that doesn't hide Xposed.
So if you don't plan on using any app that checks Safety Net (Pokemon Go, Android Pay, for example) You won't have any problem.

and what about the built in CM13 root ?
I think the newest Magisk auto removes it when you flash it.
But I had manually removed before installing magisk on mine.
But in any case, if I remember correctly you can just remove it thru the SuperSU app before flashing Magisk.

Huawei P9 NOUGAT Xposed Systemless with Magisk works but !

Hello,
I have finally updated my Huawei P9 to NOUGAT (EVA-L19C185B385 ) and installed Xposed Systemless with Magisk 13.3 and it seems works good.
However, after several restarting the phone xposed stopped working !! (massege: framwork installed and not active)
any help please ?
Xposed on nougat? I thought there wasn't one yet. I'm pretty sure the Xposed Framework Unofficial unstable for Nougat is too unstable to be used..

Theres no help. Just yesterday Rovo89 posted this:
So Android O seems to be coming on Monday. I would have really liked to release official Xposed for Nougat a long time ago, but unfortunately I'm not done yet.

That means that there is no Xposed for Nougat at the moment. Rovo89 is the only developer for Xposed-Framework and he wasn't able to port it to Nougat due to fact that Nougat has some major differences to Marshmallow. We have to wait until Rovo89 fixed the biggest problems.

For me i will be used to stay with this issue because I hate any device without xposed
after install this when any apps get updated, its showed incompatible with current system version. but the apps work good !!
is any one has same issue
1. Remove Xposed manager
2. Reboot phone
3. Install xposed manager
4. Activate models
5. Reboot phone
It should work good now?
I know this fixes the exposed for awhile but is there a more permanent fix yet.

For me Xposed v88 worked. All the versions later had the issue, just v88 didn't.
I'm using Magisk 14.0 with Xposed Framework Version 88.2 (From Magisk Module) 7.1.2 Nougat, Resurrection Remix ROM, works fine no issues.

thanks man. I know it's such a pain I have to delete the installer then turn off the module in magisk and delete it, then reboot then install the installer redownload the module in magisk, which is another reboot itself. Then I have to turn all my modules back on in Xposed then a third reboot. It's a process every time.
:good:it is solved with latest Magisk and exposed

there are 2 magisk modules a unified one v 90b3r14 and a per device one. if unified dosent work, use the perdevice sdk27 v90.2b3.
then be sure to use exposed installer 3.1.5 to manage exposed modules. also be sure magisk did not block any su requests.

A- either of the 2 magisk modules i spoke of are enabled in magisk modules
B- you are using xposed manager 3.1.5
because its working fine o my side with either magisk modules and using v 3.1.5 of exposed manager.

Working for me with no issues
Install the xposed installer app and then the module from within the app... View attachment 4648867

no issues here
It's working with Dr. Ketan's ROM. But I'm not sure if it's reliable, I've got some small bugs when Xposed and/or its modules is/are enabled.
