There are Magisk modules to change system fonts, but it requires root - there are threads about rooting with Magisk

"Launching applications" at every boot

Hi, I've flashed the official xposed for marshmallow. My phone is on cm 13 nightly and I only use a custom kernel.
I don't know what to do to correct this.
My rom is incompatible?
I do the following.
Flashing rom after full wipe. Then flashing xposed. Then optimizing applications at boot?!

Install Supersu systemless

Hi,
I have a rooted lg g5, on marshmallow, with supersu 2.76 that I flashed under twrp (it has been updated to 2.78 on the playstore) . I don't know if it's systemless. Is it?
I would like to install supersu 2.78 sr1 systemless and suhide, and i would like to know the steps.
Do I just have to flash supersu 2.78 sr1 and then suhide?
Do I have to unroot before?
Do i have to type something under twrp (the systemless thing)?
Something else?
Thanks a lot for answers

From my noob experience
1. Better start with clean install rom
2. Type on TWRP to make sure you get systemless root
echo "SYSTEMLESS=true" > /data/.supersu
3. Flash custom kernel (optional)
4. Flash 2.78 SR1 then suhide
5. Flash Xposed framework systemless root (optional)

The solution written by amritpal2489 seems easy.
Have I to do something before flashing supersu aroma installer?

Up?

You most likely have to re-flash your system image to fully remove all modifications made by a system-based root, and then flash the systemless version and suhide.
I just did this yesterday.

Cannot change boot pattern..?

Hey there, i'm testing the Redmi 4x, i set a boot pattern after encrypting the device as usual, however when i go to security and change that pattern (for another or pin, pass, etc..) i'm still asked for old pattern at boot..! Never seen that on any other devices. How to fix this?
Well i did restore MIUI and still, changing pattern within the stock rom doesn't change boot pattern.. Can't believe it.. Somebody help please!

Ugh, this phone can be quite the pain. So I'm flashing OpenKirin's RROS Treble ROM, but while flashing Super OpenGapps (or any OG package for that matter), I get error code 64, which says I chose the wrong architecture for the device (it says ARM even though the device is ARM64).
What is going on here? I've seen on other forums that downgrading TWRP works, but there's only 1 version of TWRP available so.
Edit: there's also this weird thing where there isn't enough space on the system partition that it can't flash most packages.
I'm on the ALP-L29, navigating through with a mouse on OTG.

Well Openkirin rros already got gapps installed so why do you install it too?

[SOLVED] Google Maps is not compatible with Mi Mix 2

I can't update Google Maps no more. Google Play says that Maps it's not compatible with Mi Mix 2 anymore.
Perhaps the beta version is no longer compatible. I have maps on my mi mix 2 working without a problem.
Same here but able to upgrade it by dowbloading the apk from apkmirror. Used the universal one otherwise stays in english.

I got this issue too. I solved it with Pixel 2 fingerprints and simulating that device, with MagiskHide Props Config module. You should use the ARMv8-A version.

Hi, have you tried this using latest MIUI Beta version? Which ROM do you use?
In my case, with latest Beta, System UI error and cannot boot.

I'm on the last Pixel Experience, but it happened even with the earlier version. Now it's ok. I reverted the device simulation and I don't see that message.
Well, MIUI Roms doesn't accept Google fingerprints... so SystemUI doesn't work with that change.
After recovering my phone (manually unnistalling Magisk module) I've retried with Xiaomi Mi 6 Fingerprint... and I've correctly updated Google Maps Beta.
Best regards.
