What's ColtOS

What device is this thread for?
This looks like an interesting ROM, I wanna try it out, though there aren't clear enough installation instructions, so I'll probably have to figure them out.
This thread should be for Redmi 7 onclite (judging from the download link at the OP), but that link currently redirects to the github source page. If people want to download the actual ROM, the current url for the onclite releases is at: https://sourceforge.net/projects/coltos/files/Onclite/
What magisk version is compatible with this ROM?, Also is this ROM stable yet?
The most stable and smooth rom i have ever used ... as far as magisk version is concerned use magisk 20.4 as it works fine
Ok so I tried this ROM, and it works great. Many customizations, great performance, stable, and etc. The only problem is when I uninstall magisk it won't boot, I fixed it by doing a dirty flash. This is not the first time it happened to me so I was not panicking. One question; do we have to uninstall magisk to update?

So I was testing the mic on discord and there was no sound coming in, I was using a custom kernel so I think that that was a bug on the kernel. So I did a dirty flash to restore the stock boot and vendor image, because I forgot to create a backup of the stock one, and when I tested it, it still doesn't work. Also the fingerprint is always on even when after unlocking the phone.
I may did something wrong because did a dirty flash to restore the stock kernel though
Edit: I tested it again in Google assistant, and the mic worked . I guess it's just discord. Just ignore this reply

No bugs as far and if flashing first time then perform a clean flash... If updating from 6.0 to 6.1 then dirty flash may work but clean recommended...!!

Feels happy to listen this... New update may be soon I am trying some tweaks...!! Hope it gets successful and battery life is same in every rom I guess... Because Tissot is just getting old to have a fabulous battery life...!! One majour reason for battery life is Kernel Upstreams and upstreaming is necessary for better performance..!!

Everyone on a developer site which is what xda is should already know the basics. If not they shouldn't come here and just start installing things on their expensive devices. Js.. Xda is a developer site not a help site or a tell me this or that site or anything else. Not aiming this at you specifically but for anyone who may not know we are on XDA Developers forums.
I help as many people as I can just because I've been there and right now the world sucks and everything has slowed down so much. ?? But anyone here should already know to format data if coming from stock rom to an AOSP custom rom.

i dont know what have you done sir... or is it just placebo effect .. but this Rom got better and better everyday .. it is super smooth ... the best i have used in a long time .. Haven't seen any other bug than HDR ... brilliant work.

Use nikgapps.. I personally use stock....it's upto u bruh.. flash any package.!

Well..that's sad..lol... I really like this rom. Is there a possibility of hotfixing hdr playback ? Considering ..R may not be as good as this in the beginning and will possibly take some months to be this good.

For me, ColtOS have the Monet Engine, Sakura not. Basically ColtOS have better customizations than Project Sakura, but the performance should be the same. And about the battery life, I think Project Sakura slightly better.
