I tried with LGUP and it is still on V405UA, it won't swith over to V405QA. Am I doing something wrong, or since this was a Sprint phone it will only stay on UA not QA?
Thanks for any help anyone can give.:highfive:

I think it is very hard to root LG G8, especially T-mobile Version.

What about the unlocked version? Will that also be hard to root with OEM bootloader unlock?

Can this T-Mobile firmware be flashed over the Verizon software? Also, is there an unbranded firmware that can be used for American phones kind of like the way Samsung S series are?
Just got my tmo g8 yesterday, there is very little bloat. It seems to mostly respect lg's work. Not sure if that's a concern for you.
I thought the bootloaders were locked on all the US variants. How exactly would you flash this?

You can flash it with lg UP, but only to the intended variant, i don't believe we have a modified dll to allow us to cross flash kdz's between different models.

i really haven't gotten a straight answer to this question either. I'm assuming that it's not possible yet because I have searched long and far and haven't seen a video of this being done or a tutorial.

This is the only site that gives instructions to flash a KDZ but I'm too afraid to try it. Isn't there a link provided in the OP?

there is no link from op and that link you gave was for the n model. Those sights never work for flashing.

All signs point to BS as far as I can tell but the op title had my hopes up lol. I think LG is under a contract agreement not to release such firmware, it'll only happen if it's an internal leak.

I wouldn't recommend it, but I used LGUP and installed the Verizon software on my Sprint phone by mistake. But to my surprise, the phone booted, and i could make phone calls.

1. I didn't check to see if everything else worked. 2. If you want to stay on Pie, and everything else won't work you will have to find someone like VLAD to install Pie back on your phone.
Pie isn't installed on Sprint yet.

Sprint is one of the carriers that doesn't publish their KDZ. So to get sprint 10 you'd have to find in one of the threads where someone backed up their 10 version and you could flash their backup. But be aware there are some partitions that people mistakenly backup that have their imei and s/n in them. U don't want to restore those partitions or you'll lose your imei etc.
But, why do u want sprint firmware on your phone? You're in Bangladesh, there is no Sprint there? I'd look at cross flashing to a different rom, usually you'd want one of the 'Open' versions, that has the bands that you need. If u decide to do that, look in the cross flashing threads for how to accomplish that.

There are specific threads discussing exactly that.
Here's one
Here's another.
spends some time reading those threads, so you have a good idea of what you'd be getting into.
