WiFi calling turns OFF automatically - Samsung Galaxy M20 Questions & Answers

I turned on WiFi calling on my relative's Galaxy M20. For soms reason the WiFi calling keeps turning off automatically.
Network - Jio
Any suggestions on how to fix this?

same issue with me for JIO network on my Note-10.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I think it is related to JIO because I also has AIRTEL SIM in the same phone, never faced this issue with it.

Voice call on VoLTE on working - Vodafone
I am having this issue with Vodafone 4G SIM. Phone auto selects VoLTE network sometimes.
I make a voice call, I get a HD symbol but the quality of the call is pathetic.
There is a constant chopper sound in the background. I always have to disconnect the call and try after some time.
Vodafone says the issue is with the MI phone instrument / software.
Can anyone confirm whether this is a ROM issue or the hardware issue?
how does it get resolved? any idea?

Nope. That's Vodafone. They're liars. I switched to Jio and it's all good.

Mobile data turns off while on call when on 4G network

I recently noticed that in my OP3T when someone calls, mobile data gets disconnected while on 4G network. When a call is initiated, 4G immediately changes to H+ and stays there for sometime(10 - 30 secs) and then disconnects completely. And when the call is disconnected, mobile data reconnects showing 4G.
The call and data are being used from the same sim (primary). To make sure that second sim is not interfering, I disabled the second sim and tested above scenario again and the behavior was same, data disconnects on call.
Is it an expected behavior or is there any issue with my mobile. As far as I know call and data cannot work together on 2G network, but on 3G/4G network it should work simultaneously as long as both data and call goes through same sim.
P.S. The 4G network I am on is not VoLTE. I am on OxygenOS 4.5.

If it's not VoLTE, it'll drop to a 2G signal (H symbol) or 3G (H+) while on a call, precisely because you don't have voice over LTE.
Yes, it's normal and will be fixed when operators start supporting VoLTE.
So yes, you're not the only one that's experiencing this.

When I'm on WiFi, I can't receive calls

Hello, I've only just finally figured out that while my unlocked pixel 4 xl connected to wifi, i cant receive calls, I can receive while i am using the phone with WIFI, but once i leave the phone go to sleep and connected to wifi, then my phone can not receive the calls and unreachable.
I have tried to change the network mode to 3G while i am connected to wifi, and it seems solved the issue.
While i am not connected to wifi (LTE) i have no issues at all.
I have unlocked Pixel 4 XL with Jan update (latest build) rooted through Madisk, stock kernals and everything
is there any solution to this? I've searched through forums and this subreddit but have yet to find an answer. Any help would be appreciated.
Maybe try turning off wifi calling if it's enabled?

Sounds like your phone is trying to make a call over Wi-Fi but your carrier (or SIM) may not support Wi-Fi calling. Where are you located and which carrier? Using the dialer, use the following code to check your provisioned status: *#*#4636#*#* If Wi-Fi calling is toggled OFF and you cannot change the setting (grayed our) then it will not work. Ask your carrier directly if they support it.
I have tested more to find out where the issue is happening, i connected to other wifis , and the issue was not reported, the issue the only in my apartment, and only when i am connected to lte, on 3g no issue, and once i leave my apartment, i can receive calls on lte normal, this strange, i was having the original pixel with no issues such, and my wife having iPhone and doesn't have this issue,i have tried her sim card (from the same provider) and the same issue
Now when i go home, i have to switch the network mode to 3g to be able to receive calls, otherwise it will show out of coverage.
I spoke with network provider, and they told this issue we with the phone, and its ture, since inwas using the same network in my original pixel, and the issue was never happened
Please help to advise.
Thanks

Turn off wifi calling on your phone. I had a similar problem with my unlocked pixel 4xl on Verizon and that solved the problem
I don't have wifi calling option enabled under mobile settings, my operator doesn't support wifi calling.

What is the provisioning status of Wi-Fi calling in the phone diagnostic menu ( *#*#4636#*#* ). Is the toggle on or off? Is it grayed out?
Its grayed out and toggled off

What country do you live in, and which carrier do you use?
I would do a network reset in settings under the reset menu. If that doesn't work, backup and do a FDR from recovery.

In my case, it's on and greyed out.
I am using unlocked Xiaomi Mi A2 running on RROS v8.5.6.

Question S21U - Problems with data dropout upon receiving call

Is anyone having an issue where the data network drops from 5G to 3G upon receiving a phone call?
On S21 Ultra, Telstra network.
Have tried Network Settings Reset without assistance, and the telco claims everything is enabled on their end.
I'm also unable to find the VoLTE toggle under Network Connections and cannot enable call waiting - I wonder if this is related.
EDIT: Turns out it was indeed a carrier issue. Resolved with call to Telstra.
It is definitely related. If no VoLTE is set, network will always switch back fron 4G or 5G to 3G to support the incoming call.
Setting to use VoLTE (or 'call via 4G') should be under Mobile Network settings.
You may want to check with Telstra support, as VoLTE may not yet be activated for your device/subscription or apn settings are not correctly set.
@OnnoJ Thanks for the reply. The call via 4G toggle is missing from my "Mobile networks" setting page. I've seen others have a similar issue, but have not found a solution as yet.
Can't believe it - called Telstra again and they now found VoLTE was NOT provisioned! They fixed it on their end and all is working.

WiFi calling issues

Hi I have a refurbished S10 from the iOutlet, works OK apart from WiFi calling. I can hear the other caller but they find the conversation at a very low level and distorted. Works fine externally using a 4G signal which rules out the microphone and WiFi calling is spot on at home for my wife on her iPhone 11 Pro which clears the router. I have tried the usual things, switching WiFi calling off and back on, taking the sim and even factory reset the phone. I have noticed that the phone must have been on O2 from new as the firmware appears to be customised with none removable O2 apps. I also noticed that the wifi calling symbol is not constant and flickers - could the O2 modified firmware affect WiFi calling, I'm on a Smarty mobile sim, the same used to happen when I was on EE a few months ago, thanks
