Don't mean to offend you, but a little leery of some unknown app just posted on a mega link. What is the name, what is the source, what is is supposed to do?
You don't need root to update to Pie -- if that's what it's supposed to do? I'm just guessing. For most V30, you just use LGUP to update via KDZ. H930, H930DS, H930D, H930G, VS996, H933, etc.
For my daily phone, I'm on rooted stock US998 Oreo firmware because I don't wish to update to Pie. The only variant which has some problems updating to Pie is the US998 -- but even then it's not most people, just some. However, I updated my backup V30+ US998 to US998 Pie with no issues whatsoever.

this is all:

Right not, not having time to compare apps I have with these -- are these newer versions or something? Like how new? Newer than Pie we have? Will they install on rooted Oreo V30?

Stuck on Marshmallow?

Hi,
I just received my new phone, and I realised that I am still on oxygenOs 3.5.4. I checked the system updates, and it says that there aren't any updates available, but I see that nougat was released in January.
Is the Nougat update something that I need to trigger manually? Is there any reason to not update to Nougat? I guess all the kinks are pretty much ironed out by now.
Cheers!

You should have received it by now. You can manually download the ROM and either sideload it or place it in its folder.

You could try installing a free VPN app, changing the region to Canada or Germany and checking again. This is how I've done it.

I am facing the same issue. I got my 3T yesterday and it says no update available. I have not rooted my phone and wont root it unless absolutely necessary. Where can I download the official Nougat ROM from? And what is the procedure to sideload it?

You can get the update, and instruction on how to install from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/how-to/rom-oxygenos-3-5-4-mm-ota-update-t3519074
Sideload instructions also here from OnePlus: http://downloads.oneplus.net/oneplus-3t/oneplus_3t_oxygenos_4.0.3/
Although the download right from OP only lists 4.0.3, and then Open Beta 3 and 4. So I don't know if this just not updated, as OTAs for 4.1.0 and 4.1.1 have already gone out:

Were this Midnight Black phones?
^ No, Gunmetal version.

Any rooted 872 users gotten Xposed framework installed and working...?

...I tried but ended up with a boot loop and then had to restore using TWRP...
But I may have done something wrong, as this was my first time trying to install it.
Anyone got it working?
This belongs in the questions section
You have to use the magisk xposed module, you can't flash xposed standalone. Though I may be wrong, so double check since I'm only using magisk modules not xposed.

I actually gave this a try tonight using the 24 version of systemless installed with Magisk. The bootloop is longer, but it's a bootloop, so I am restoring.
Warning to anyone messing around with this -- do a TWRP backup (and Titanium backup if you are really paranoid)...in my case I had to again restore from the TWRP backup...
Also, mods you can move this to the Q&A section...sorry I am the OP and should have posted this there...

Your right this should have been on q&a. You said you used 24 version. You need to download and install the SDK 26-27 assuming your on android 8. SDK 24 is android 7.0 and 7.1 is sdk 25

I'm on Android 7.0 rooted T-Mobile H872, hence SDK24 -- I thought that's all we had available besides Lineage 15.1 which I am going to try a bit later.
If someone has a rootable Oreo ROM for the H872, I'd love to try it
Thanks,
MW
Good news

There is another ROM called aquariOS its better than los in my opinion. The developer is working on making a thread for it. I'll be working on the kernel myself standalone so stay tuned! The G6 is gonna be lit. Oh and its android 8.1

That would be great, please count me as an early tester. The current Lineage OS 15.1 has camera issues, and that is something I need for both video and pics with young kids and a business to run. I thought you could just lift he 7.0 LG camera app out of stock, but I guess there is more to it than that...

I'll get with the developer to add u as a tester. Also ya its complicated to port stock camera that's y I use arnovas gcam it works awesome and has portrait for both front and back camera. Also keep in mind that although its better than los. Some things still need fixing but for what u describes above, u should be OK.

That's nice hope it's going to be made officially available for G6 T-Mobile H872, unlike other custom Rom that didn't include us the T-Mobile version users.

What is WiFi ACN and can you send a link to to ROM? If it has working camera and video, telephony basics work (including TMobile WiFi calling), I'll try it.

Speaking of this -- what happens if you install an H870 or non T-Mobile custom ROM that was for another LG G6? The only difference would be the LTE bands supported, and I don't know if the ROM needs to be updated for that or if it is all handled through the SIM / Qualcomm Chipset.
I have xposed working properly on H872, rooted 11g version

[Capture+]: Quickmemo apk from V30

Quickmemo / Capture+ from G6 / G7 / V30
Hi everybody,
I am looking for the Capture+ app, which is includen in QuickMemo+ from the G6 / G7 / V30 for my V20.
I do not know why, but Capture+ in V20 does not allow long / extended screenshots, whereas on G6 and V30 does and most likely also on the G7
Coming from a lenovo p2 and used to it, taking long screenshots is very common for me and I miss that function on my V20 (H990DS with B&O).
It seems like the LGqmemoplus versions 6.1.6 (from G6) and 6.10.20 (possibly from V30) are not available on any apk-server.
Does anyone have a new quickmemo+ version?
On my phone the software updater says that I have the newest quickmemo version.
Thanks a lot in advance,
Jo
This is from v30
Thank you very much!
Just downloaded it, but unfortunately I cannot install them, as it says parsing error.

Downloading here fine.
Did you extract the apk from oreo or Nougat? Maybe that's the reason. My v20 is still running on nougat... Mi

We all have Oreo here.
Well, except for some Indian users who refuse to update. Long story.
Not trying to revive an old thread, but this will not work on Liquid Remix/Pie. I should have downloaded & backed up my notes first...

If you need it, temporarily flash back to stock Oreo with TWRP flashable zip + Magisk for your variant.
Backup what you need from there, then go back to your custom ROM.
Unless I am misunderstanding something...

No, you have it right. It's not worth the time, really. The only thing I was worried about was a list of songs to download, but that's replaceable. Thanks for answering!
How can I do that? It won't install for my Samsung either

GApp in the red magic 3?

Hi
Will I have the GApp in the RM 3 ?
If I buy a Chinese version or European version, what changes inside for the software?
Thx
If you buy Chinese version, root is needed to install Google service.
how can we root this phone ?
Yeah i saw some videos that it was impossible to install Google apps on Chinese model. Better wait for International release next week.

Swift Working on One UI (Pie) Unrooted?

Reading through the changelog on the recent update to Swift, it's talking about some One UI stuff. And looking through the website, it's talking about not needing root for the Note 9.
Is this true? Are any of you users on One UI (unrooted) using Swift?
UPDATE: For anyone who doesn't know. Yes, swift now works on One UI Pie. FYI.
Are you talking about Swift Installer? There are a few apps out there called "Swift".
