hello please can someone help me?
i been messing with my phone ROM
and i have deleted everything when trying to flash the Rom with QFIl.
and now the signal is not working and ether the wi-fi! i Don't know exactly what else is not working as i am stuck at the activation of the phone! can't continue as i Don't have internet.
i have tried to put all the stock rom-s that i found on ethernet and no luck!

It seems that you have flashed you IMEI and mac addresses, and 'common' mistake, which unfortunately is very difficult to solv, since these values are device specific. So you need the numbers which should be on a lable on you box, and then this thread might help.

hi all
i thought i would attempt to flash my samsung s with the new beta froyo update.
i followed this guys tutorial.
( cant link to it sorry its the noobs guide with detailed instructions through kies and odin)
i used the odin approach
i managed to root the phone.
on reboot it asked for an unlock code (o2 uk) so i went on to try and follow the steps about unlocking it. which neither worked all the way through the steps.
on reboot it appears to have signal and in the about section it says i am onnected to the o2 network but when i try to make a call is says "data network not available with an ok button, which when pressed will return you to the ome screen.
any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
Almost the same problem,
installed 2.2 update successfully, the phone worked for like 3-4 days very well and after that today i discovered "Emergency calls only"
so the question now is did i bought phone which later was reported stolen? or somehow i broke it?
Anyone have any idea?
hmmm, I have the same problem! In the status menu, the number is shown, but the network, says "unknown"

But I didn't back up my Efs folder, now my phone is unlocked but when I put a sim card in it I have very little network and when I try to make a call I get " NO DATA NETWORK AVAILABLE".
I've tried everything but I don't know what to do!
I was thinking of two ways to fix it:
1. Reinstall froyo (not quite sure how using the samsung software as my laptop oesn't recognised the phone as a pone)
2. Downgrade to, get unlock code using market app and then upgrade to froyo again.
I know I messed up but now I really need to fix this.
Can someone PLEASE PLEASE help me out.

might need to change the modem in odin i think. just heard about it
did u try restarting the phone... just a wild guess...
I had the same issue before and was puzzled. Its actually a very simple solution:
1. Re-lock your phone, search through xda there is a code you have to enter
2. Unlock your phone
All done! Surprisingly easy
Try the Odin method in block 2 back to Eclair if ok then upgrade to Froyo .

However your non connection might be due to not flashing a firmware with your network settings in which case manual settings of APN .
If your IMEI has changed due to flashing and you did not back up your EFS folder then little hope but do a google / search of XDA as some have reported success .

Emergency calls only
I had a custom rom that was giving that to me too. I think it means that you can access a network different from your sim (because usually emerg calls can be made from any phone I think?).
I'd try and find a rom that is optimized for your carrier or at least a modem file from a stock rom that is for your carrier. You may also need to reselect the APN settings (or enter them for your carrier). Its under settings/wireless and network/Mobile networks/access point names (use the menu button to add an APN).
you could also try re downloading and flashing the rom to make sure that is the issue. Mine said it installed OK but never booted up, redownloaded and reflashed and then it was fine but the install screens looked identical.

My IMEI isn't changed and someone helped me check my efs files and they are all ok. I'm going to try and reflash froyo through the samsung software to see if the network lock comes back and then try to unlock again. For this I'm going to unroot the phone and follow samsungs' instructions.
I'm afraid to relock the phone as there are reports that say it completely messes everything up!
But I'll keep you guys posted! Wish me luck!!!!
PS. Any other suggestions are more than welcome!
So, a quick update on my situation.
I uninstalled busybox and unrooted my phone using the oneclick root tool.
Did a factory format and, surprise surprise, my phone now works perfectly!
Apart from the fact that it doesn't connect to kies, but that's a whole another issue!

i played with rooting and flashing before i found these forums with guides and stuff.
and now my samsung galaxy have no mobile network, no imei number and freezes when i activate bluetooth..
it was also bricked (logo loop) but i fixed that.
i have flashed stock firmware in it and it works fine beside the 3 problems above.

Unfortunately the only simple way to fix things is to find a backup of your EFS partition - look after something called:
efs.img
efs.tar.gz
efsbackup.tar.gz
efsdev-mmcblk0p3.img.gz
(the img versions are probably the best, but either one should work to some extent).

Hi, can anyone upload mi3 gsm stock/backup qcn? I accidently deleted my efs (en.miui.com/thread-60007-1-1.html) which I thought a "Quick Fix". I have no intention of duplicating imei or something. I have view my QCN file which is empty, no configuration for GSM, that's why I cant connect to any mobile network. If you know how to fix, or you want to verify my QCN, I can send it to you. Any tools you know that is working, you can tell me too except dont tell me to flash stock rom, etc2. It has been done many times still same. I need a quick fix for this, I can donate to you as well. So please help, anyone?

I lost mybaseband while flashing the marshmallow stock rom bcz the Non-hlos.bin file was corrupted in the zip package as Said by devaloper Frozen_Leamon on Yu official forum.
I tried various methods to bring back my imei,
I tried these methods which didn't worked actually..
* SNwritter tool via Qualcomm diag mod
* Rooted my device, installed xposed framework and i wrote imei via xposed modules, and i got my imei back but no service in the first place.
Then i deleted that Non-blos.bin file from zip package and replaced it by Nogut firmaware's Non-hlos.bin file,and flashed that rom again. And i got sim1 imei back and got network on that too, but
But, the problem is sim 2 is still unknown and it has imei and detects sim too, but got no network.
I did some research and found that .qcn of my device might be corrupted, im not sure, can anyone please point me in the right direction.
Can anyone please backup their .qcn file from their working yu yureka black and provide me a link to it, it can really helps me alot.
I will edit that .qcn and i will restore it via QPST.
Or, please anyone tell me about is there any other methods...

Use sp flash tool and flash the factory firmware. That tool clears all partitions and creates fresh.

But yu yureka black is Qualcomm device, so sp flash tool will not solve it, sp flash tool is only for Mediatek devices.
Anyway i solved my problem and got everything fine now.
Anyone if encounter this problem feel free to contact me, i will provide them instructions and even i will give them .qcn file for restoring thr imie.

I've been trying to use 8.1 /9.0 ROMs for a while now but I always get IMEI 0.
For context, I did flash the persist file of the G4, however i got very, very lucky and managed to recover a working EFS file (with my own IMEI, and 4G working fully).
The problem is, flashing this EFS file only works on Nougat (with 100% success rate I might add, I've never had an issue when returning to Nougat).
No matter what I try I cannot get my IMEI to show on Oreo or Pie. Any ideas as to how I may be able to use my semi broken (working) EFS file to get my IMEI on these versions?
