Stuck at twrp with no rom and otg is broken - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i went to twrp to flash a new rom, i formatted my galaxy note 5 and when i plug in my usb drive via otg it doesnt work. the port charges but there is no data, even on windows, i tried installing drivers and samsung kies, nothing is working, i asked around and no one has any replacements for the usb port for my note 5. is there anything i can do? galaxy note 5 doesnt have a sd card and i tried cleaning the port and its still the same, it charges but no data.

Same problem here. Did you fix it?

Can't connect to mass storage after flashing Serendipity

Any reason behind it and a way I could fix it?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
I'm not sure if this is just with Serendipity, but I had a problem where my computer wouldn't recognize one of my drives on my Captivate even when I put it in mass storage mode.
Try disconnecting and reconnecting again. It takes me 2 tries always for some reason for it to properly recognize my drive.
No, I retired it several times and it still didn't work.

Just a few general ideas - probably won't help but you never know:
Leave it charging for several hours and then see if you can access fastboot
Try a different PC (including one that you've never plugged your phone into before, one with a different Windows version, etc.) to see if you can get it to recognise the phone as qhslk bulk
Try plugging the device into your PC using a different USB cable to see if you can get it to recognise the phone as qhslk bulk
Have a look around the web on guides for restoring a hard-bricked Moto G 2014 (specific model, type, etc.). This probably won't work but anything is worth a try. You could try following these on different PCs, with different USB cables, etc.
I think this problem was caused by trying to downgrade your phone to KitKat
Hope you get it working

HTC one M7 no OS and recovery won't detect OTG and no fastboot usb

ello guys, I'm a proud owner of HTC one m7. Firstly Thank you guys for all the posts which helped me root my mobile and I use VIPER VENOM 9.0. Well long story short the other day I flashed AINUR BANG&OLUFSEN ( which I've found here ) but something caused it to stuck at ANDROID UPGRADING for 2 days so I wanted to re-flash the ROM and I wiped the ROM and it was too late that I've forgotten the point that I have deleted my backup ROM file. Now I'm stuck with no OS, TWRP won't recognize OTG, tried to transfer files via ADB sideload but my PC won't recognize my phone and when I connect it through Fastboot I don't get the FASTBOOT USB :'(. Now I don't know want to do guys I need your help here guy's please.

Try to press volume down + power off buttons to enter fastboot mode.
You have to find a bright light, move your phone closer to the light, the light sensors should face the light, then press those buttons. I dont know why the light but it worked for me. I used a lamp as you can see in the aatachment.

Looks like something is wrong with the usb. If you can't get "FASTBOOT USB" to show in bootloader when your phone is connected, that's because it's not detecting any data connection with the computer. Make sure your usb cable works fine with other device (not only for charging but also for data transfer) or try another usb cable. Try another usb port on your computer and make sure to use usb 2.0 ports. Also make sure you have he latest drivers installed. If it's still not working after all this, maybe the phone usb port is damaged.,,

This trick is used for phones that refuse to power on, not for the problems described above.

THAK YOU ALRAY AND MOSE, I'm too guessing that it could be the usb port, Because I tired everything which you guys have mentioned in the reply and received all negative results and I think I may have to replace my mobile usb port. Will let you know guys and again thank you so much.
