I install twrp>wipe>install getting error 7.failed to mount system.
again clean flash device using mi flash, install twrp>format data>wipe>install> still getting error.
xiaomi.eu_multi_HM8_V11.0.10.0.PCNCNXM_v11-9.zip this is the rom i have been trying to flash
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...omi.eu_multi_HM8_V11.0.10.0.PCNCNXM_v11-9.zip
So,anyone has been succesfull to flash xiaomi eu rom on indian variant ?? if so what was the procudure ?

I'm on global but what I did was flash original rom on miflash, finish set-up, boot to bootloader, flash twrp, install xiaomi.eu, format data, then reboot. I didn't wipe anything before flashing rom.

Custom rom to stable

Hello,
I'am french and sorry for my very bad english.
i have buy the xiaomi mi 8 china Version. After waiting 360h for unlock bootloader i Do it and install xiaomi.eu rom (MIUI 10 beta). Now i would like to install the global official global beta rom
What Can i need to do?
Do it with TWRP and wipe data and dalvik cache and flash the global rom with TWRP and reboot?
No bootloop?
Or maybe use miflash?
What is the good method.
Do i need to use dm-verity for twrp and to doesn't brick phone or bootloop?
Twrp will be loose?
Sorry again, And thanks for all replies.
download the global beta miui 10 8.8.21. it's a zip file, here in xda
if it's a zip file always use TWRP.
if it's tgz file - use Fastboot ( Mi Flash tool)
make sure you are in latest twrp version and flash Force-encryption/DM-Verity after flashing rom.
don't ever try to lock bootloader and be careful when using mi flash tool it has option to lock so don't use it this option.
Thanks. And when i need to do wipe cache and wipe dalvik?
Cache before flashing rom?
Dalvik After dm-verity or After rom flash?

Problem with installing Rom eu !!!

Hi friends
I recently unlock my phone
Mi 8 Chinese edition
Unfortunately, installing 3 versions of Rom eu
The phone does not start or logo Mi
What is the problem with?
What did you do?
Steps?
TWRP?
Have you flashed the dm-verity disabler? Also, try to "Format Data" first in TWRP before flashing EU ROM.
My sequences according to various guides available on the internet when flashing my Mi 8 for the first time (Mine was also CN version with BL already unlocked by its distributor):
1. Bootloader unlock
2. Flash TWRP
3. Inside TWRP, choose Format Data (your Internal Storage will be wiped clean)
4. Connect as MTP, copy DM verity disabler and ROM file
5. Flash DM Verity Disabler -> Reboot to Recovery
6. Flash ROM as usual -> Reboot

Format the data partition in TWRP. You need to do this when installing over MIUI.

Are you booting into MIUI at least once after flashing it, before flashing anything else?
I've stopped doing the mount/unmount. I now always reboot back into TWRP after formatting data, seems more reliable.
In TWRP do a factory reset, then format data, then reboot back into TWRP.
After this install the ROM you want

Can you provide all the steps you are doing. I can't see any reason why it's not working.

Step 4 needs to be format data, not wipe data, you have to type 'yes' to confirm when you do it.

If you want to flash something else, remove lockscreen security first before flashing. This should allow you to dirty flash an update, or clean flash a new ROM, without problems. You only need to format data when flashing over MIUI.
If you get into problems and you cannot successfully get a custom ROM working, this is when you need to flash MIUI first.
You only need to flash vendor/firmware files when the custom ROM recommends/requires a version that is different to what you currently have.

The emoji's screwed up my reply. Try again.
1. Next time create a new post, don't resurrect a vaguely similar old post.
2. Restore MIUI with a fastboot ROM and try again. Use my guide here to help you install the ROM of choice.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20-pro/how-to/simple-guide-flipkart-owners-t4151007/post83329343
If you're not sure what you're doing, follow the guide exactly, do not freestyle.
1.Install any rom
2. In recovery factory reset or change data partition to ext2 and then again back to ext4
Reboot
It will boot.

When flashing you will actually need vendor and firmware files together.
These are taken from the official MIUI fastboot ROMs. You can find them repackaged in a single flashable zip file from here.
https://downloads.akhilnarang.dev/MIUI/raphael/
Flashing one of these files in TWRP is the easiest way to go.
You can also find then repackaged as separate zip files from here
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/
This site has a much greater archive, so is good if you need an older version that you can't find in the other site. You will need to make sure you download vendor and firmware files for the same version.
You should always stick to the version that is for the region of your phone. e.g. Indian vendor and firmware for an Indian K20 Pro, etc.
Some ROMs use an OSS vendor and so this is included as part of the ROM install. In which case there is no need to flash the MIUI vendor.
When a new version of MIUI is released, vendor and firmware files might get updated, to fix a bug or to add extra functionality. In this case some custom ROM devs will include them so that they get the bug fixes or extra functionality in their ROM too. When this happens they will update the minimum vendor and firmware version requirements for their custom ROM - the version will be the actual MIUI version in which the vendor and firmware files were updated.
Where a ROM doesn't specify vendor and firmware and doesn't have an OSS vendor, then it normally implies that any version will work that is from MIUI based on the same Android version. In this case use the most recent version, which you will already have if you've kept up to date with MIUI updates.
When installing a new ROM, you will only need to flash vendor and firmware files if your current version is less than the required version of the new ROM.

Question Orange branded to global EU

Hi everybody.
I have a redmi note 10 pro from Orange and branded from orange.
I 'm waiting for time to unlock bootloader with miunlock.
I downloaded lastest miui official rom for Europe. Fastboot version.
After my device unlocked, i think i could flash global EU rom from Fastboot.
Is Wright or no ?
I waiting for flash twrp and custom ROM.
I Just want eu global version and not orange branded rom.
Thx a lot
Yes you can flash miui.eu custom rom. but you need to flash TWRP or OrangeFox recovery then flashing rom with it.
don't forget to wiping data from recovery after flashing done.
Thx for your reply.
I'm waiting for unlocking it.
It's better to flash twrp and eu.miui rom for you than flash official miui rom with fastboot ?

Need some tips regarding flashing a Mi 8 SE

Hi.
It's been a while since I flashed some ROM's so I am out of the loop a bit.
I just bought a Mi 8 SE off ebay. The ROM is the so called fake ROM MIUI GLOBAL 9.5.8.0 (Android 8.1). I intended to flash a new ROM and to my surprise it already contains a custom TWRP recovery. The TWRP is version 3.2.3 1102. Is this a really old one? Should I reflash the latest TWRP from TWRP.me or can I use this old TWRP to flash?
What I want to do is flash Xiaomi.eu MIUI 11 20.3.26 (Android 10). Do I need to format DATA in TWRP and then transfer the Xiaomi.eu ROM to the phone when I try and flash? Do I need any GAPPS when I flash Xiaomi.eu ROMs?
One more thing. Out of interest how would I go about flashing the last stock Chinese ROM for the MI 8 SE? Would I use MiFlash tool?
Any tips would be gratefully received.
