ROG 2 ZS660KL-I001DE support for B20 LTE - ASUS ROG Phone II Questions & Answers

When I looking for Asus ROG 2 Phone in EU (with 128GB) I only find the ZS660KL-1A050EU. This version of the ROG 2 don't support FDD-LTE B20 aka 800MHz which means it is useless and you need to go for the 512GB version.
Now they sell in Germany a new 128GB version I001DE. I can not find any information about this version but it looks like this version support 800MHz LTE.
If someone got this version, can u confirm this?

Difference between Nokia 7 Plus variants

Hi all, How are you?
I am trying to buy a Nokia 7 Plus for months, and I could not figure out which variant will work in my country.
I found out that there are at least four Nokia 7 Plus variants: TA-1055, TA-1046, TA-1062 China and TA-1062 Global.
May someone help me please?
What are the differences between all those variants (TA-1055, TA-1046, TA-1062 China and TA-1062 Global)?
I appreciate any help you can give me
i don't really know if is not some wrong, but i think:
TA-1046 = DualSIM, 4GB RAM, AndroidOne, Global
TA-1055 = SingleSIM, 4GB RAM, AndroidOne, Global
TA-1062 global = DualSIM, 4GB RAM, AndroidOne, Global
TA-1062 china = DualSIM, 6GB RAM, NO AndroidOne, China(without GooglePlay and with (i think) some china apps)
global is "00WW", china is "00CN"...
"00CN can be switch to "00WW"
I think TA-1062 is the 6GB variant. You have mistakenly type 4GB.
Thanks a lot for helping.
I still have some questions, please, may ou help me?
1) Are there differences in supported LTE and 3G Bands between the Nokia 7 Plus Variants?
I need to verify which variant supports my country LTE and 3G bands.
2) I understood that TA-1055 is a SingleSIM variant, right?
Does TA-1055 variant also have a microSD slot?
3) Are there differences in Android OTA updates released to each variant?
4) Because Nokia does not officially sells phones in my country, so I have been searching to buy it online, and import.
Therefore, I can not ask to a online seller to open the phone's box in order to verify its Android build - to make sure it is "00WW".
I was not able find a online seller to TA-1046 variant.
I found TA-1055 variant available at Amazon uk only.
I found TA-1062 variant available at Deal Extreme, but It is not clear whether their variant is the Global or the Chinese one. DX claims that their variant is Taiwan.
4.1) Do you suggest any online seller that has the global variant for sure?
4.2) Do you have any ideia what is the Taiwan variant? Is the Taiwan variant the Chinese one? or the global?
Thanks a lot
I am not sure, I have found the links bellow with TA-1062 4GB RAM:

That's weird... have you actually seen a 512gb Tencent logo version in person, like in a store or something? Or just online sales? If just online, they could just be using the same picture for both...
its just in grey market they bought it from china.

I wonder too whats the different, I pre-ordered 12GB-RAM/512GB Tencent Version from local store (in Malaysia). Saw in Youtube/Facebook someone unboxing 12/512 tencent version, box is hexagon shape with active cooler 2 & 30 watt charger right out of the box. I guess maybe the ROM is in china version

From what I've seen, all the 8gb/128gb versions share the same bands, and all the 12gb/512gb versions share the same bands, regardless of ROM... but then again there is a ton of conflicting info out there, and I wasn't even aware there was a 512gb Tencent model, so I really can't say for sure.

r u sure because I want to buy 512gb china version
Folks, i have now both versions at home from Tencent... the 8GB/128GB and 12GB/512GB... just happened so that first I ordered the 8GB version and then I noticed that LTE band 20 is missing... what was important for me. The shp told me that the 12 GB version has the LTE band 20. So I ordered the 12 GB and need to return the 8GB. But as I have them now both side by side, maybe I can answer some questions here until I will send back the 8 GB version.
The 12 GB had the Aero Cooler and 30W charger with 2 cables (USB type A to C, and USB Type C to C). The 8 GB did not come with this accessories. The cover from 8GB versin was a transparent plastic cover, the 12 GB version comes with this skeleton look case.. (forgot that name).

Ok thanks. It was worth a try. It works on Samsung phones but not all phones. There is usually a code though that opens hidden menus like that on all phones, they're just not always the same code.

Being a frequent buyer from Aliexpress, I can tell you it is indeed trustworthy, the only downside is the shipping delivery time, that can take at least one month to deliver you product.
If for some reason your product isn't delivered or you want to return it, you can do it without a hassle.

This year's GAME TENCENT chinese model rog phone 3 has global rom and not chinese and also support google store and ota upgrades the only downside is that has less memory models and some 4g bands missing for some countries.
I think this year's GAME TENCENT rog phone 3 might be a far better value for money than the last year's chinese model.

How do you know they will get OTA? other than what is been claimed in ad poster?
Anyone own one and got OTA?
I've ordered mine from an Irish store called DID electrical. did.ie They ship to Ireland only for €5, so a parcel motel service might be needed.
They have two versions listed on the site:
ZS661KS-6A022 (Rog edition 12GB, 512GB, SD865+)
ZS661KS-1A010 (Strix Edition 8GB, 256GB SD865)
I've ordered the ZS661KS-6A022 and after ordering I got an update to say there would be a 10 day wait before its in store ready to ship. I ordered on the 27th of July, so will update if it takes longer or any change in this. The codes they have listed seem to be unique in that I cant find them mentioned online anywhere, but I think that might be a type o. They are a reputable store with a number of bricks and mortar stores in Ireland, so will see if its just a type o. I was in my local store today looking at new fridges and there was noting for the ROG Phone 3 in there, so I am guessing its an online order only.
I’ve noticed EBay have a lot of Chinese sellers now, just haven’t ordered yet.
There is also a none 865 plus version going around
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
aliexpress and alibaba.go for the verified sellers.
Just to update on the above, DID got back to me to say there is a delay due to covid-19 and they wont have it in till the first week in September. I am guessing these are the global model and are infact just not available till the 5th of September.
If I want to use this phone in the US on T-Mobile should I wait for the US release? Anyone know when that is?

Got my phone today on the 5th and it was the WW version... funny that. Sadly, after setting it up and playing a few games, I noticed that it was not the correct version of the phone that I had ordered. It was the 8GB/256GB version of the phone not the 12GB/512GB that I had ordered. So they have to talk to a manager tomorrow and I should be getting a replacement. That said how long will I have to wait for that. So back to using my ROG Phone for the time being.
If anyone ordered from DID in Ireland, check your specs. You might have gotten mine if you ordered the lower spec

Reception on Tencent Rog 3 in U.S? How is it?

Wondering how the reception is on the Chinese version in the U.S like on T-Mobile? Can anyone share their experiences? Any dropped calls, how's the 5g and 4g lte? The Chinese version says tencent on the back of the phone.
For 5g, it only has band 41 2.5GHz. It's missing band 71 600 MHz and the other 260 and 261 bands for 5G high speed mmwave.
For 4G LTE, it's missing bands 66, 12, and 71.
There's also a guide here showing you how to enable voLTE. Maybe someone can try that and share.
I'm trying to decide between global or tencent but the tencent is like $200-$300 cheaper because of the missing bands and you can get it in lower storage capacities than the global one. Wondering how it actually performs in the U.S

My buddy has the tencent version and has no signal at times, when I do on my a version. Stop being cheap, and spend the $ for the a version. No band 12,66, and 71 is a deal breaker imo.

512gb is overkill for me. I'd be fine with 128gb. I'd only pay $1000+ for iPhone 12 pro. imo, Android over $1000 isn't worth it due to its faster depreciation. Trying to see how the Chinese one actually performs.
I'm curious what bands the lenovo legion phone is going to have on its unreleased global variant too. If that comes with volte support, and priced significantly less than than the version a rog, I'll probably go with that.

You seem pretty experienced with the rog phones. Have you owned the first or second model because I'm mostly wondering how they perform after 2-3 years. I'm trying to get a new phone that will last me around 3 years without getting buggy and slow. If you have had one of the older ones, how are they after like 2 years with the updates? I read that asus also stops updating after the first year so does that affect overall performance after 2-3 years

The only reason I'm considering the rog 3 is because of the amazing Emulator support on 3ds,psp, and ps2 which iphone lacks. Just wish there was more info out there on this phone.

I don't understand how there's only a 512gb variant in the global version. On their global website, it says upto 512gb so their should be 256gb and 128gb variants too but there are none for sale.
If there was the other variants, the price would match their Chinese version and I would buy it on the spot.
What also bothers me is no definite release date in the u.s. so I don't know when to look forward to when they release the smaller storage size, I grow impatient easily

bs3pro is right in this case. First and foremost, your money your choice, but you can only buy what is available on the market. At present the only A Version (which is the expected version to be made available in the US) specs are 12 GB + 512GB or 16GB + 512GB and are imported model. That said an A Version from wherever and an A Version from the US are both still A Versions with the same internal modem for T Mobile bands. It still remains to be seen when and if a 128 GB or 256 GB models are released with the A Version modem.
However, it is ill advised to purchase a model that is severely lacking band coverage as both the Tencent and B Version modems do not have support for LTE bands 66 and 71 which are important to T Mobile in particular. Honestly what is going to save you more money, buy a phone missing crucial bands because it's cheaper, and then having to get a new phone due to lack of coverage and performance, or wait and see your options and then decide.
If you are truly in dire need of a new phone you may just want to consider a different brand and shop around a little because impatience won't do any good for you or your wallet.
EDIT: To try and put this to rest, Asus Taiwan is the only country who produces and sells A Versions phones, here is the ROG phone 3 store page. These are the only models currently for sale that support T Mobile here in the States link for posterity, sorry if it's not allowed:

Thanks for the clarification but I still think the point stands for the actual specs as opposed to the region of production

Thanks. That was some solid advice. I found the taiwan version online for around $1250 with tax which was the lowest. I was going to get that and the asus kunai 3 gamepad for $200-$300 but I ended up ordering the oneplus 8 pro 12gb 256gb for $820 with tax and I'll just pick up the razer kishi gamepad for $100. I find it suits my needs better after finding out the oneplus 8 pro runs all the same games in the emulators and it's ip68 water resistant. Plus, I save $500-$600 and it has all the same tmobile bands. Just gonna miss out on that 6000mah battery.
I couldn't even find a decent case for the rog 3 let alone a water resistant one. It's a must for working out.

Yeah, that's honestly was I was trying to get at. There's no reason to try and force yourself to like a phone that doesn't check every box for you, especially at it's price point. It's much better to get something that makes you happy and functions well than something that you forced yourself to like. Glad I could help!

Where can I purchase a global edition rog phone 3

Hi I have been after the ROG Phone 3 for a few weeks now but the only versions I can find are the tencent versions does anyone know where i can purchase the global edition from with the 16GB of RAM and 512GB storage thanks in advanve
Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Australia too. JBHifi has it
For Malaysia you have to be careful. The 8/128 and 8/256 Strix versions are allegedly Version B, while the rest are supposedly version A. Asus HK at least acknowledged that my 16/512 set is Version A according to the SKU.
Apparently Asus' Marketing in Malaysia is different compared to other countries, Strix phones are lower end while the proper ROG phones are higher end.
I hear that Asus Singapore only sells Version A tho.
