it was at first, then I tried to install AEX and GAPPS. Everything's now ruined. Recovery doesn't read my storage.
and it fails to install both. Everytime I restart my phone goes back to recovery

Q: SHRP can't mount data partition, what to do?
A: Make sure you formatted data partition.
Q: Phone is not booting even after 20 minutes
A: Try to reboot. If still not booting, make sure you formatted data partition.
Q: How to format data partition?
A:
Q: Phone is showing only Samsung logo
A: Try to reboot. If still not booting, consider installing an older TWRP build or a more recent firmware.
Q: I get "Failed to mount /preload message", what to do?
A: From wipe menu select Advanced Wipe, select preload partition to be wiped and reboot recovery.
Q: Why do i need to format data partition?
A: Because old rom encrypted your data partition and new rom can't decrypt and use that content / root needs access to data partition to place misc files / phone not booting after flashing root until data partition gets formatted.

+1 By By Stock TWRP. By By *other* method too. Do not want to mention name since not meant to troll. This scheme is awesome. Tested it out and backups and restores perfect. PLUS...unlike other backup project, this can use TWRP backups from prior TWRPs instead of creating separate new folder.

Hi. I need emergency help. I'm new on s9+ & flashed twrp as well formatted data partition then flashed no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.1 but whenever entered to system then returned to recovery mode then i lost internal storage again again & again. Please help me. I'm on latest android 10 firmware.

No, this just replaces TWRP as this is based on TWRP with some extra's. So no data loss, factory reset is not needed.

Does this fixes the openrecovery scripting capabilities? for some time my scheduled TWRP backups do not work

This is practically one, the device tree is identical to OrangeFox or TWRP. SHRP and OrangeFox have some extra features that TWRP does not have.

As a OnePlus 6 user with twrp installed permanently on both slots, I was wondering if you have to use fastboot to boot the enchilada image file first and then use it to flash the accompanying zip file. Or would a simple flash install from twrp as you describe above be enough?

The markw device does not have two slots. Yes, TWRP must be loaded first and then flash zip of SHRP recovery

Thanks for your answer, but it still leaves me a bit worried that I might have problems with OTA updates on my custom ROM as this phone is the first OnePlus model to use the A/B partitioning scheme, so it definitely does have two slots. I know this after the installation problems I had when moving from a non-A/B 5T to the OP6.
