Corvus OS is another retarded ROM with many retarded Customization. First, it's inspired by Dirty Unicorns (thanks to Alex Cruz), but then we picked many other features too. Our objectives are a stable and feature ROM that can be enjoyed by many devices. We won't say that Corvus is better ROM than others, but we always try to give you the best.

It works fine AF!
If it doesnt' work for you, Just flash the latest firmware on the Telegram Group.

I'm really enjoying the rom, but the battery consumption is very high, I can't get past 5 hours with moderate use. Is there any solution for this?

Thanks for the log, collect as much as you can so we can identify the root cause.
I need some testers. A user reported, that he doesn't face app crashes with the Nogosh kernel, so I built a new version based on Nogosh, it is available here.
If you have time and will, download and test it, let me know if you still face the issue with this version.

Ok, i will try it. Thanks sir
I've tested your 08 version. solid and without any force closes.
It would be very nice if we could have a new build once a week or even better every time that the changelog of Havoc itself gets updated.

The 2nd is my plan. There are new stuff in Havoc, released a few hours ago, but I want to know if I should build with Olympian or with Nosgoth kernel.

2. Personally which one would you go with? Evo X or Corvus? :cyclops: (Shhh! Dont answer this. LOL)
3. How is this Corvus ROM as daily driver (not as gaming centric)?

Should be about the same , as both have same kernel.
Make your decision based on features and what you like more customisation or simplicity

NO more that option since now no sense. we have dynamic refresh rate vary from 0-120 depending on usage... battery backup will be same..
why u want slow system if u have very good 120 hz display.
after flashing gapps , error keeps poping up "android setup keeps stoping" on first reboot without gapps system booted just fine .. i flashed "arm64 pico gapps"

Just installed and set it up, still on the way to make it full customization, here are my observations [so far, will keep updating this]:
1. If you flash ROM, gapps, magisk (all at once back to back, like crDroid, which works fine for crDroid, even magisk works fine, with safetynet etc) and boot system, you cant enter system, even though it boots, but you are stuck, hence follow: a) Flash ROM, boot to system (and ya there is not setup what so ever, here), and then reboot to recovery and flash gapps/magisk and boot to system, yes you still get error of android setup, which needs to be disabled then (this is mentioned in setup instruction in OP).
1a. We get to flash gapps I personally prefer this, as I flash pico gapps and install apps whichever I want later (if I want), I do not like lot of crap that comes along with Micro gapps which I uninstall later, that I do not have to do here
2. Magisk Safetynet passes fine (not tested bank apps etc, just safetynet passes)
3. You cannot change ringtones, that app crashes, need fixes here.
4. No Corvus boot logo, just the default android boot logo is seen (which is fine).
I will keep adding my feedback to the list above. This ROM is usable, but, I feel this ROM for Poco X2 needs some polishing, makeup and house keeping at the first look of spending 10 - 15 mins, yes this is just the first release of it and we know how fast and quick we get the builds from @Hard_Rock83

Our objectives are a stable and feature ROM that can be enjoyed by many devices. We won't say that Corvus is better ROM than others, but we always try to give you the best.

@Magicxavi , @AmolAmrit & @Sagar: For creating the base-tree of kenzo and for their original works, without which I could not have thought of getting into start building roms. Thanks to Droid Discussion 69 & it's testers also for keeping me on track of improvements !

Known Issues:
Below listed bugs are over all kenzo 10 roms so they are not the roms fault and no need report them
1. Lock-screen freeze / black-screen (Fixed in v9.0, CLEAN Flash recommended for it )
2. You can use encryption at own risk, as there has been reports of the data partition failing to decrypt after sometimes or while switching roms...

Battery Backup
Overall very good ROM. But battery draining very fast when on screen usage. Off screen it is very good.
Corvu Os 6.5 has many issues, like battery drain issue, Random reboots and UI Crashes.

Isn't this Corvus OS 7.0 ? Update
Just flashed it along with PicoGapps. So far it's working pretty good.
To people who had bootloop issues or random crashes, try formatting data as Ext3. There is some stutters here and there in UI but I guess it is in all ROMs.
Is there any fix for UI stutters ? Better kernel or something?
I was an old user of Kenzo, Sorry to hijack this thread but What happened to the Treble development? Is it officially dead? Just asking coz It would have made porting ROMs so much easier.

Crash
Settings crashes when I go to Raven's Lair - and Notifications (Under system).
"Settings keeps stopping"
https://del.dog/vinyfypipe
Anyone ever seen this before on an adb sideload? Usually it just says serving and has a percentage next to it. This is after I had flashed corvus to one slot after flashing oos 10.3.5 to both slots and formatted data.. The page where google asks for permissions .... Started flashing like crazy and I couldn't do anything so I booted to fastboot and sideloaded and got this. See screenshot. Really strange.
Seems to be setting up fine now for me after flashing on both slots and formatting both slots... ?
Updating Ubuntu now. Maybe that was the deal... Or my SD card wasn't reading properly?

The first time I flashed from twrp then did the sideload. I use same recovery you have included in corvus. Just wanted to say I believe whatever issue I'm having could be some sort of virus linked to my email. I wiped everything and reinstalled but I did not restore anything from Google account and everything is perfect. So I think whatever is going on has something to do with my email account...idk. But not related to Corvus so doesn't matter. Awesome work!! Beautiful boot animation!! :good:

Hi, yes it is there if you use the included aosp phone app. If the gapps you install replaces it with Google phone app then you can't record. So you need to install a gapps version that doesn't replace the dialer.
I didn't find an item that includes call recording. installed FlameGApps-11.0-basic-arm64-20210307-BETA.zip, 2021-03-07, 93.9 MB. phone stock app.

It's enabled or disabled based on what country you are in.

Hi. Sorry I missed your earlier message. I'll try to be better at checking this thread for messages in the future.
The recordings should be saved under music/call recordings

If it's still not there, can you take a logcat of recording a call, doesn't have to be long, even a 5 second recording is fine
Thank you very much!.
Will this rom be updated?
Hello- A question about the installation process. I understand the steps but in the process of resetting and formatting the phone everything seems to get wiped including the new ROM zip.
How is one supposed to install the ROM zip when the formatting erases everything ?
I ended up doing this and thankfully used sideload and all was good but am confused by the main installation method.
Cheers, LL

You can flash the rom and then format if it's easier, the end result is the same. Or reboot recovery and you can copy the rom to the internal storage again.
Anyway the format is only necessary when coming from a rom with encrypted data. You can dirty flash updates.
