Thank you for the new ROM!
A question about flashing - the latest ROM is dated 5/3 but I see no 5/3 version of the boot.img. Which version should be used? Also, the description indicates that GApps are built in but there is a link to Open Gapps. Should we also flash GApps? Thanks.

Thank you @ stebomurkn420 for having our back again !

Guys I will upload a boot image to the Bliss server. We have been doing OTA's so the boot images weren't needed until now since everyone here will be clean installing. If you can't wait you can always grab the latest boot image and test builds from my telegram linked in the second post.
Also remember to hit the thanks button on the OP. It's the easiest way to show support!

Expecting Sargo when flashing this rom
In recovery I receive the error message: Package is for bonito but expecting sargo. My phone is clearly a 3a XL Bonito. I flashed the sargo rom and lost all touch. The only way I could got touch back was to reflash the bonito factory image. Am I missing something?

yes this is new build for our 3a xl ? been waiting from you and will flash this one soon!

Has anyone had any issues with the camera not working after installing this ROM? I've tried Google Camera, Open Camera and Snapchat and none of them work. Snapchat says, "Snapchat was unable to open the camera. You may need to restart the application or your device."

THANKS
could have found the kernel myself, as its also available in your rom-download links, sorry for being stupid
so far, best rom for this device available on xda. SO. MANY. OPTIONS. in blissify. and some regular options well placed, like override dark mode, not in dev-options, but in display settings.
someone really thought about making things BETTER. love it.
i experience some very rare ui-restarts here and there, but all in all its a really great rom. it even passes safetynet without activating magisk hide. :good:

I keep trying to use the boot.img, but it doesn't actually boot and goes straight into my previous ROM... Is there something I'm supposed to do first before trying to use fastboot and booting into the boot.img?

Thanks, I'll try this when I get home from work today

Running smooth coming from stock. Great options, faster to load, no more weird stutters when using certain apps. Only issue I've found is viper4android doesn't work but I think that's a magical 20.4 issue. Was acting weird, which made me flash this time.
If anyone has suggestions for an equalizer app, I'm all ears. JamesDSP crashes, AudioFX didn't seem to do much, etc.

How often will the Rom be updated?
Cause we all have a life beside XDA, the rom will be frequently updated but not daily. It is a work in progress so will probably add or delete features.
How do I flash it?
You must be on a safe kernel and recovery. If you are not sure, check this thread out to see which ones are safe!
If coming from previous version, Asylum or cm10.1 nightlies:
1. boot into recovery
2. flash the Rom
3. reboob
If coming from any other safe kernel except Philz older than v3.99:
1. Copy Gapps and MadCowRom zip to yout internal SDCard
2. Boot into Recovery
3. Wipe data and dalvik cache
3. Flash MadCowRom zip from internal SDCard
4. Flash Gapps zip from internal SDCard
7. Reboob
8. Don't restore system stuff or apps + data using Titanium, it might cause issues
If coming from a Rom containing PhilZ kernel older than v3.99 (TW based JB leaks and ICS TW Roms):
1. flash a CM10 kernel
2. stay in CWMR, go to advanced/reboot recovery
3. follow all the steps from #3 above

You have to extract those you need, paste or push them to /system/app,
fix permissions so they are the same as the other apps in the folder and reboob. It is NOT a flashable zip.
What is not working:
Whatever doesn't work in official CM10.1
the number of apps shown in each dpi group is wrong
Credits and Thanks go to
my husband for colorizing infinitely pictures, working on sounds and helping searching through endless files and java codes
CM Team
Antichoasylum for establishing asylum and the beast mode
Chasmodo for his build cm10 fred and his help and kindness in all situations

MadCowRom(MCR) Glossary and F.A.Q
Cows are the most common type of large domesticated ungulates. They are a prominent modern member of the subfamily Bovinae, are the most widespread species of the genus Bos, and are most commonly classified collectively as Bos primigenius. (Source Wikipedia)
She is a Lady, a Veterinarian in Profession and Madly about Cows. She spends most of the time caring them, treating them and most importantly she Loves them a lot. Apart from this, she also has a private life where they need her most. Remember when quoting anything to her, have some respect and so prefer to call her @Milady and also for the fellow lady’s here Corininha and lady-27
Vet-Note – The Master and Almighty
And her fellow loyal followers - Chasmodo, Gugelhupf, Ukicar, Trahzebuck, Bangsti, Ahalford, AA1973, Toxicthunder, Beerbong, Corininha, sdvsf, snabben and let alone me (if i have missed someone, PMS me and i will add them here)
Freaking Annoying Questions (aka FAQ) – Thanks to @AA1973
(Note: Some of the iterations have been taken from @AA collection, which is already best in its class)
Q. How can I flash this ROM?
A. Try Reading the OP first. Thanks.
Q. I tried flashing this but getting Status7 error? Please Help?
A. This error appears when using PhilZ kernel (Version < 3.99) and Speedmod K5-1. Try any CM/HydraCoreNirvana/DragonHeart Kernels, flash anyone in recovery and go to advance>reboot recovery and follow OP for instructions.
Q. I cant find the Developer Options? What can I do? Where to find it?
A. This is hidden for safety reasons. Go to Settings > About phone > Build number > hit build number 7 times in order to "become a developer"
Q. I cant reboot to recovery?
A. This has hidden inside the developer options menu. Just select Advance reboot option from there.
Q. I getting Error and force closes? What is this?
A. Best bet is you might have dirty flashed from previous build or flashed a wrong gapps package. So look into it. Always clean flash once in a week if you are a flashaholic.
Q. I have very nasty eye and i cannot bare this DPI, but don’t know how to change it? Any help?
A. Use Root Explorer or Es file Manager for changing this manually. Find this line ro.sf.lcd_density=320 and change it to your desire liking ro.sf.lcd_density=? Still easy, download Rom Toolbox Lite from PlayStore and change it from build.prop editor with your desired DPI.
Q. I cant access few apps from playstore?
A. Play Store Supports specific DPI groups. This only appears when using odd DPI’s. Flash this Multi DPI store 3.10.14 for JB 4.2+ from recovery.
Q. I want S-Memo, S-Planner, S-Note and other Samsung Apps? Please help?
A. They require Touchwiz-framework and will NOT work on this ROM and nobody cares.
Q. Can I flash any other kernel in this ROM?
A. Yes, you can. Just use kernel which supports CM10.1. Best Options would be @Chasmodo‘s Kernel Repository and @Neobuddy89’s DH Kernels
Q. I cant detect my External SdCard?
A. In the current version 4.2.2 JellyBean, the Internal SdCard is mounted as "sdcard0" and External SdCard as "sdcard1" under storage in your root directory. Install any File manager from Play Store to access them.
Q. How to get the PIE controls enabled. I don't have them under settings. Please Help?
A. Follow this Link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39834801&postcount=77

AICPAndroid Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Marshmallow. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it
Full wipe, flash rom, flash gapps, boot
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes
To update to M, you must flash the M modem and perform a full wipe
KERNEL:
Kernel in this rom follows CM source with custom additions.
Kernel has support for primary MultiROM ROM (includes kexec hardboot support)
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use CWM and OTA app, but only to download zip file and flash it manually from within recovery. Zip gets saved under AICP_ota folder on your internal SDcard.

You beautiful, beautiful human! I'll be flashing immediately! Thank you sooooo much!
Downloading now will report back on how it is
Edit: Running amazingly right now smooth in general but like many ROMs recently there's a little bit of a notification area lag. I know Devs are working on a fix so overall great ROM.

Awesome, I hadn't tested this one personally ^_^
The only issue I've encountered since flashing last night is during one phone call, the screen did not light up when I moved it away from my face. I made another call right after that, and it worked fine, so perhaps it was just a fluke.
Loving the customizations. I've missed using a good non-stock ROM. Is there a dark mode built in or just CM themes for that?

Rock on Superfes! Thanks man
First of, this is my favorite ROM yet! So many customizations! And that awesome boot screen! Thank you for building/sharing.
I gave this a go yesterday on the 3/8 nightly. Google now crashed after doing the ok Google thing consistently, and system ui crashed a couple times. I'm giving it another go today. This is too good not to keep playing with, I'm downloading the 3/9 right now, I'll leave some notes after a days use.
Thanks again!
How is the cell signal on this rom??? I want a cm rom with good signal strength. I'm tired of a lot of cm based roms having the cell drop issue

So after using this today, I get the same lag with notifications shade, recents, and lockscreen. Google now still crashing with ok Google commands using latest open gapps nano. Google now does the voice commands just fine, I wouldn't know if I didn't get the little sorry Google now crashed message.
Same story I had with AOKP pretty much.
Overall I love both the ROMs, I'm looking forward to improvements with the lag stuff. Being nightlies I hope that comes around.

Slightly worse than stock, but not by much. Maybe a 10-15db difference.

I've got the same issue. It only happens for me with Google on Tap. If I'm in the Google app, then it seems to work fine.
There's a little bit of lag, other than that, good rom
I've updated to the 09 March ROM. When I choose to "Hide sensitive notifications" on the Lockscreen, my notifications are also hidden while I'm unlocked. If I "Show all notifications" then it shows them again while unlocked. This did not happen on the 08 March ROM.
EDIT: After another short, 2 minute, phone call, the screen did not turn back on after moving it away from my face. I used the power button to turn it back on and end the call. I made another call after that, also under 2 minutes, and it worked fine.
I have one issue with this. The lock screen has a lot of lag. Not sure if I'm missing something but its super laggy and sometimes not responsive.

I have two thoughts for you. First, I would like to ask you to please make a post or something when you update the ROM, that way, those of us subscribed to this thread will get a notification about it. Secondly, I'm glad to see you drop dev-host from your mirrors. I will offer you the option to use my personal site for mirroring, if you'd like. It's a very fast server with no bandwidth or storage limit or ads. Let me know what you think.

Whipped this up in about 10 minutes. There's room for screenshots in the header. Download speed is pretty zippy right now.
EDIT: I can't check for a title change everyday. Either make a post or PM me when there's an update, and I'll add it to the mirror, or I'll update it whenever I notice it.

Thank you! Happy '17! I've always liked Carbon ROM.
Looks amazing! I was never crazy about the AOSP look but I've gotten more used to it since the pixel is so close to being stock. Time to root and install TWRP finally. Love all the customization options especially the menu bar at the bottom.
Just curious what the Gapps issues are exactly because I've seen some other people mention them but didn't really go into detail.
Thanks!

gApps have always been problematic with every additional security layer added. With different slots, but shared data, I can envision it's getting more complicated.

What's up with the Gapps thing. Do we flash after or are they built in.
@Myself5, may I have 2 questions:
1) Which gApps should I download for the Pixel sailfish? I tried all combinations of ARM and ARM64, but they all failed to install due to "gApps size too large, try smaller gApps".
2) The ROM seems to get installed to the inactive slot on its own. If I set slot A to be active, Carbon is installed to B. Then I turned around and made B active on a different Pixel, it installed to A, and booted into A.
Thanks!
This is rather nice to see. Thanks for your hard work.

They don't go into detail for a reason. The cause is, as far as I am informed, more or less unknown.
TWRP is suspected to be the cause at the moment, but I don't know much more either ATM. I'd, by guessing assume that it might be a mix of TWRP and the GApps installers that struggle with the AB system, but I don't know for sure.
I do know, that when installing a build with builtin GApps (we can't officially provide builds like this) its working, which is why I'll upload some unofficial builds with builtin Gapps until the issues are solved.

1) None ATM, even when hacking the Installer they seem to dissapear on boot. (See above for more Info).
2) The ROM installs to both slots, and then boots to one that wasnt selected previously, for whatever reason (might be TWRP related or Installer related (the pixel installer zips are really goofy) or even bootloader related, I can't tell for sure).
A Featurelist will be coming soon, please bear with us on that. We hard a very hard time even hitting our release deadline which was supposed to be the 31th of December 2016 but jenkins started to be very picky so all time to prepare threads on XDA and changelogs and stuff went down for jenkins. This thread for example is based on one of my old unofficial Note 10.1 threads, with very small changes. We will rework those later this week too. There was just no time at 4AM this morning to do so
Regards

It's installed in both slots. And yes, it boots into the slot that was not previously active. At this time, as the dev responded above, there's no GApps yet.

You install it like you'd install any ROM in a recovery such as twrp. Then install gApps. There's no gApps available yet.
So it installs to both slots does that mean it uses double storage space

It's the same setup you have now being stock. There are 2 of a few different folders including /system which is where the software is stored. No difference
It's good to see Carbon around!!!!
In anticipation of this becoming available for Marlin soon, I have a couple questions.
1) Does this have Slim Recents? I didn't see it listed on the features page.
2) I notice on the features webpage that it has light/dark theme options. Is it the one that can be set to automatically change? If so, does it have auto day/night Substratum support or does it only use the built in theme?

Yep, that's how DU and AOSiP are doing it for the moment.
Built-in. I didn't think it was possible to flash gapps at all, let alone have them install and then go away after reboot.

2) The feature page is outdated, but will be updated later this day.
The ROM is having full substratum support, you only need to root and install substratum.

Will provide a build in the next days.
Flashing GApps "worked" after some dirty hacks to the installer Well... "working" as far as "it was there and then dissapeared after the boot" can be defined
Are there "legal" reasons Gapps can't be built in or something? Just curious because I've always wondered how it's OK to release some builds with them built in

Install directions: https://wiki.pixelexperience.org/devices/fajita/install/
Summary of install:
1) Install adb and fastboot drivers
a) enable usb debugging
c) adb reboot bootloader
d) fastboot devices
Just to check you can see the fastboot
e) fastboot oem unlock <------ erases all your data! proceed past this point at your own peril!
2) adb reboot bootloader
3) fastboot boot recovery recovery.img (from twrp I use)
4) for me, now it was just install zip from either adb sideload or adb push
5) reboot phone and installed.

Aha, taking our first steps into compiling and releasing.. Exciting stuff! And a grand learning experience. Let's start by making the download link... Well, downloadable. You've currently shared a link to an unshared file in your drive. You need to create a share link first. Always test your download links in por.. Eh, incognito mode before releasing. And look into other hosting options that provide more stability such as AFH.
Next on the priority list is adding a link to the kernel source. This is very important for us not to get into any legal trouble as we must comply with GPLv2 in that respect.
Take a look at the other ROM threads to get more familiar with the desired structure. Mostly the bottom parts are important. Like giving credit to those that made your release possible and version information.
Also, you may want to explain what this is (see other PE threads), how people must flash it and notify of any known issues/limitations, if any. Add a disclaimer perhaps, you just never know.
We'll get there together because we're an awesome community like that

I've seen PE rom on a few past devices I've owned and it really does seem like something happens. The dev either disappears or something else. lol.
Hoping our Pixel Experience guy will stay around and just keep everything cool with the mod(s). ??
I used this build from the ops second post with the Drive link the other day and it was solid. I always return to Corvus nowadays. PE is a beast though! I've had PE+ on my other device for 6+ months. It always makes me wish I had a Pixel again which will eventually happen once I slowly gather enough funds for one thanks to covid-19. ?
fixed link!

Sadly, I am not very well versed yet. Best I can do.
1) Unlock bootloader
2) boot into fastboot
3) do the "fastboot boot RECOVERIMAGENAME.img
-- I usually do twrp
4) install it.
Maybe someone can help me flesh that out some, this is my first rom I made.

there is no telegram group, tell here in xda.
Installed the Rom with a Clean Flash with no Root.
The ROM is pretty smooth and has a very good battery backup compared to the original OOS version 10 & 11.
Network Reception is quite good. Apps are quite responsive and no Crashes as of yet
since it is the initial build still few features are missing like call recording
but all the major ones are present...
there is only one issue actually i am facing which is the camera....not able to use any other camera app than the default camera app given in the rom. the default camera app is not that good and picture quality is okayish.
Sound quality and volume is decent and better compared to dew other ROMs.
Face unlock works great. Fingerprint takes a slight delay to unlock compared to OOS.
Brightness & Color quality of display is quite good.
No problem using UPI or any other banking apps...

Fingerprint is good for me. Btw i added same finger twice. Try that?
Issues i found :
1. Camera app is acting weird sometimes. For ex : if i switch to 16:9 mode, the camera goes blank.
2. Alert slider dailog has alignment issues.
3. Google Photos backup isn't working.
4. Dash charging
Rest ROM is very smooth and responsive for me. Great work dev. Would love to see some updates on those bugs.
What camera app/s are you trying and are you able to get some logs?

use this method, no need of tht process,
1)Oos 11.2.2
2)bliss rom
3)finalize
4)twrp
5)Format- Yes
Don't use finalize.zip, if you're going to flash the rom to both sides. Which there is no need to do, just do it manually or you may end up with little bugs. If you're going to use Twrp you'll end up unencrypted, so you may as well, after flashing twrp, flash f2fs tools for twrp, f2fs.fstab.zip, and f2fsOptimize, then change data to f2fs which will format data, then boot to system.
