There's plenty of guides if you would just look in the guides and discussion section. If you don't have a phone which has available kdzs, use the Sprint downgrade without kdz guide. If you do have a working kdz, you can use lgup refurbish mode.

Did you try switching slots like the link I posted on the exploit thread?
I saw your post about updating since going to android 10 however you may still be in luck.
Basically when your phone updates it installs the new version on the slot that isn't active. So whatever version you were using prior to the update you currently are on is whats installed on the inactive slot.
If I remember correctly you can't tell what slot you are currently using so you have to try each slot to see what loads up. We aren't trying to get back to Android 9, just a version that is exploitable. Actually Android 9 isn't going to work either.
It's too bad we can't just crossflash with a kdz from another carrierDONT DO THIS!!, from what I've read on another thread that it bricks the phone and puts it into a bootloop.
Edit: here is the link for those coming across this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g8/how-to/people-trying-beta-want-to-revert-t4011925

I am backing up now and about to try thank you all for the info i will post after complete

Ok so as i stated on the temp root page i switched slots and feb 04 was on it but before i could temp root it iswitched to the feb 04 slot but guess what it updated that slot to junes and the other is aprils so i found .kdz on lg firmwares page but both ucl and uck kdz uppercut stops at 4% then closes out. So would anyone know the cause of it closing out at 4%

Downgrading troubles ZVA->ZV6

Hey guys,
First off, i thought I had already posted this question but I can not even find it in my ousting of posts. So I want to apologize I advance of this ends up as a duplicate.
I currently have a Sprint LG4 that upgraded to ZVA and I lost hotspot. Trying any method to downgrade, fails. Using LGUP fails with "SPC code does not match." and LG Flash Tool says error at DoDownload and nothing other than a code, 00000064. I have also tried the method using systemZV6.img and dd via SendCommand but nothing happens at all with that one after i press Enter and wait a few his.
I have tried various USB ports and all drivers I could find on these forums. Windows 7. Any other info I can provide to help you help me? I am no stranger to flashing other phones, but having no luck here. Searching the web hasn't turned up any help. Thanks in advance.
Is the phone bricked now? You can't downgrade from ZVA to ZV6, because the qfuse version is different.
Thanks apparently i missed that one somewhere as a search via duck duck go never gave turned up results that stated so. In fact the last posts of http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-g4/general/how-to-free-mobile-hotspot-root-t3165049/page16 led me to believe it was possible.
Fortunately it is not bricked. Thanks for your reply.

Since it is not bricked, you could probably fix it by flashing the ZV9 update. I don't think there is a tot for ZVA yet, so you might possibly have to wait until there is one available.

if mine is ZVA, can I use the path ZVA -> ZV9 -> ZV6 to downgrade to ZV6? I mean using LGUP.

I don't think you can even use ZV9. I know I said you probably could, but I forgot that's the whole reason you're here; because the qfuse version is different. You will have to wait until a ZVA TOT is available.
I could be wrong, but I'm not a dev. At least be thankful your phone isn't completely bricked.
I just downgrade from ZVA to ZV6 using LGUP. Just the first boot take more time than usual but I did factory reset and everything fine.
qfuse is not different. It should work fine.

Can you give more detail? I have used the TOT and instructions from http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-g4/development/restore-sprint-lg-ls991-zv6-tot-t3213196 and always get an SPC does not match error.
Having issues as well. ZVA>ZV6. When I dl the tot file and run it in LG up it says it's not a valid tot file. Also tried the LG flash tool method and get an error message. Any help?

Anyone try to update back to ZVA after root?
Once rooted you can't use the OTA updates because they will fail. They check for that kind of crap. Sucks, but you're stuck on ZV6 with root until the devs work out a bootloader unlock, which may take some serious time. LG sucks major donkey balls because they have some pretty secure bootloaders, now. The best thing you can do is stick with ZV6 at the moment. I know, I know, security patches! Marshmallow! Still, wait until they get something worked out.
Thanks, i figured. Only reason i ask is because im having an issue with mircast. Not sure if its because im on ZV6 or because im on UltraPop..
So we downgrade zva to zv6 or not

you need KDZ and LGUP. look here. i know 10n its lollipop
20i its marshmallow and latest its 20o. are you planing on rooting and use twrp.? if not you can only root 10n with locked bootloader. so you need to stay on 10n.. or upgrade to 20i MM. but do not flash 20oMM and go back downgrade to 20i- or 10n it will brick phone.
you need drivers-LGUP and KDZ. i think in the links you find everything

Unlock SIM - Lg ls991 - ZVC

I want to share my experience with you guys.
So I've updated my LG G4 to ZVC firmeware, and read that is not possible to root it, and no unlock chances therefore. And since is really difficult to make downgrade once you've reached this version, I was totally freaked out that I wouldn't be able to unlock it.
And thanks to some brave community fellows that tried this method, I felt encouraged to do it.
In order to unlock your network, you have use a Global rom for ZVB firmeware, YES, it also works for ZVC. Said that, I have to tell you that this it's a risky method, and if you don't properly follow steps, you'll hard brick your phone, so do it at your own risk.
Here is the link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...-mellowmallow-debloated-60fps-camera-t3358340
Please, make sure to thank the OP and developers. Buy 'em a beer or something
Going from ZVC firmware, did you have to deviate at all from the instructions at that link you provided? Or did you get success following it exactly as written? I think you convinced me to take the plunge.
(Well, also to be fully honest, now that the V20 is available, I'm more willing to take risks with my beloved LG G4 in the secret hope I might break it and justify the expensive upgrade as being forced into it)

Hi, just go to the link and follow the instructions there, you'll be alright.
I made this threat since everyone was confused about this firmeware version, and I wanted to share with you that YOU CAN UNLOCK the network once you are in ZVC as I DID. So no worries, you'll be able to unlock the sim from your LG G4 ZVC, using the ZVB procedure.

In this particular case, just Install the ZVB Global rom (Even if you have ZVC like me). No downgrade needed. Once you've installed the ZVB Global rom (FOLLOWING THE ALL THE STEPS of the original post) you'll have your phone UNLOCKED and running ZVB.
In other words, it is not a downgrade process (Although you'll be downgrading your phone from ZVC to ZVB) NO ADDITIONAL STEPS for it, do like your device was on ZVB and please, don't skip any step and you'll be fine.
It worked for me, it will work for you. Good luck

yes, same thread, just do the steps about OEM Unlocking and Root. i would grab the most recent twrp image from here (3.1.1-1) and the latest SuperSU here (2.82 TWRP Installable Zip)
you will also need adb and fastboot tools on your pc, get that here, latest version is 1.4.3
or you can just flash twrp and then flash an already rooted system image for 20v from @MicroMod777 found here

For me, that variable is twrp. If I flashall to stock I can take the ota, then resinstall twrp and root after. Worked today too.
I was going to install LineageOS and just gave up on it lol. So I flash-all'd back to stock and the OTA worked this time.
So is there a method for clean flashing or i just flash over a rom using fastboot? I tried flashing a retail rom on my tmobile variant, it work but some things were broken.

This phone is really weird. I got the update to work the very first time I flashall but twrp bootlooped and it won't install after the second flashall, tried multiple times.
This phone is really software wonky
