Broken display. - Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Questions & Answe

Unfortunately the display of my Mi 9t Pro cracked at the top and the screen ended up getting all dark, anyway ..
Due to the high value of the Amoled display of this device here in Brazil, I saw some reports that the display of the Redmi Note 8 is for the Mi 9t Pro, working perfectly, including the digital one on the screen, the only obstacle being an noch part that would be "camera" included on the Note 8 screen. Has anybody ever seen reports about it and can tell me if this adaptation really works?I thank you all!Sorry for the english, I'm using google translator.

AliExpress has sellers that have TFT LCD displays, which are much cheaper than AMOLED, specifically for this phone.
This seller has both options.

Mi Note Pro 2

Android Pure put out a screenshot of ‘About Phone’ of the alleged Mi Note 2 Pro which is said to run Android Nougat out of the box. Leaks claim Mi Note 2 Pro will be the first Xiaomi smartphone to come with Android Nougat.
The screenshot reveals Mi Note 2 Pro will be powered by a quad-core (Snapdragon 821 rumoured) processor clocked at 2.6GHz. It is said to come with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro will run MIUI 8 with Android Nougat.
Who will be getting one?
I definitely will.
Me too if the screen is IPS

The screen is supposed to have curved edges, so that will be AMOLED since you can't bend IPS
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
Then I would buy something else. Colors of modern art are more lovely on Amoled but I feel natural photos much more real on IPS
---------- Post added at 08:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:12 PM ----------
Plus I prefer small borders like on Nubia phones than curved edges
I prefer AMOLED over IPS as it has better battery life.
That's a good reason, also it provides battery friendly "always on notifications" which is quite nice.
Only thing I can see there's much less sub pixels, and maybe that's why I find amoled less true to life than IPS.
That would be great to have the choice between them but that would never happen, there's already so much different models.
After first mi note pro fail (flagship killer 2015 that had 0 android updates, rly?) I won't buy xiaomi. ever. For me Google pixels looks great + they will have newest soft and tons, just tons of developers working with them.
Miui 8 offers everything Google updates can offer (app permissions, data usage, etc...): which specific feature do you want?
My gut feel, it won't be Android 7 !
Any ATT users of the older Note, I have to admit the specs of the new model have me looking at what little info there is about it here in the US.
So did you guys buy Mi Note 2.
I personally bought OnePlus 3 and been on ported Miui 8 nearly all the way. I miss 5.7 inches and 2k a bit though.

I bought it. Waiting for it to ship still though. Won't expect it here until sometime next month ?. Considering the support the Mi Note Pro got, it was a hard decision though. Hopefully it's better this time around since the device seems more popular

The only but big problem for me is that lack of fingerprint scanner, I don't want a thief starting to buy on Ebay or Amazon from my accounts and I don't want to unlock it with a pin a hundred time a day...
If only it had Google Smart Lock!

Mi 8 vs Mi 9

Hi guys! I'm a happy mi 8 user and I want to buy mi 9.

If you want to get the Mi 9 then just a direct spec comparison is enough without asking someone who's upgraded, you're gaining better screen protector, smaller notch, better SOC, better GPU, better camera, faster charging, wireless charging... No brainer imo
Good morning and thanks for the answers! Is the camera rly better without ois??

I'm assuming there might be a Mi 9s with ois and larger battery. The Mi 9 will have poor quality in low light photos
Got an Mi 8 blue 128 gb from Amazon WHD Like New for just 320 Euro. Wouldn't upgrade to the Mi 9 bc it is about 150 euro more expensive. Also a problem would be the missing OIS. Especially in Low Light situations. Nope, Mi 8 is still a great device. Btw: the Mi 9 is having a double higher SAR value which I personally care about a lot! 1,4 vs. 0,7.

From the FCC's website:
"ALL cell phones must meet the FCC’s RF exposure standard, which is set at a level well below that at which laboratory testing indicates, and medical and biological experts generally agree, adverse health effects could OCCUR."
Also, bigger OEM's such as Samsung also have devices with high SAR values, pretty sure the S10 or S10+ is 1.5

How is the Display from 9T Pro?

Have the 9T Pro the same Display from 9T or use a better Display? I dont like the Display from 9T (yellow tint, badly lit)
Some users in Xiaomi k20pro fb group page have reported that some of the 9tpro's are rebranded k20pro's as they further their inspection for the brand new phones. That's for some, IDK if it applies to all the released 9tpro's...
Have you a link to the group please?
I really enjoy the display with the k20 pro. The super amoled display is of top notch without any doubts.
the display more likely look almost as LG p-oled .

Well, I had not 9T in my hands, but K20 Pro got really very good display. In some parameters is better than one on XS Max. If I understood right that should be the same machines so I assume either device is faulty or maybe misconfigured. Definitely no yellow tint od bad lit on K20 Pro.

display and back glass

I broke my phone's (mi8 ) display and back galss display is dead want to fix it..
Anyone knows the link for display folder?
I m in india

Just take a look on AliExpress, I would highly suggest to order WITH frame
This is complete bull****! Don't order the stuff from AliExpress. First of all @ripbrucelee posted a ****ty display for the Mi8 Lite. WTF. Secondly all the displays and back covers on AliExpress will be ****ty in terms of
- not fitting perfectly
- display issues (up to driver issues)
- back over will break in no matter of time again
So go ahead and buy Original OEM Parts on dragon-tt! I spend 112€ for Display and Back over and heck this is really original. The delivery also been unexpectedly fast! (5 Days - China to Germany)

In my opinion this is the only way to go.
Cheers

Question Mi 11 Ultra vs. Oneplus 9Pro

Hi there!
Apologies if this is not the right place to post this.
What do people think of the two devices? I'm curious to hear if there are people who switched from OP to Mi devices or the other way around and why.
Cheers!

I had Xiaomi 4 years ago and since then I have been on oneplus 5t, 6t and 7 pro all the time and I really wanted to have a 9 pro but as I saw the price and the fact that these cameras, apart from good marketing, do not offer anything great, I was looking for an alternative and it was mi 11 ultra. I ordered from china and the 8gb / 256 version came out cheaper for me than the op 9 pro. Chinese rom, but it will easily flash a European one after the premiere.
For me, the advantages of oneplus are:
-minimally better screen
-oxygen os
and that's all
Xiaomi:
- the best (apparently) camera on the market
-innovative appearance
-second screen (I hope it will be useful)
Thanks for sharing. The Mi 11 Ultra does look quite good even if it is a bit heavier. I think OP9Pro wins on the looks, or at least the hand feel department.
The 2nd screen is cool, but I didn't find anything in the settings when I was playing around with it in the store. So I couldn't figure out the customization and the interaction of it. It does react to touch for sure, but it was kind of useless in that situation where no notifications were coming in etc.
Wrong thread . Delete my post please.

even the screen is brighter on the Mi11 ultra.
for me its a no brainer, Mi 11 ultra all the way!
OP9PRO can be compared to mi 11 pro, not ultra, and still lose
OnePlus 9 Pro's advantages:
Samsung LTPO AMOLED panel - more power efficient
Smaller, tidier and more discreet looking camera bump
Superior Ultrawide Angle lens in terms of image quality - Uses the newer and bigger 1/1.56", 1.0µm IMX766 vs Xiaomi's 1/2" 0.8µm IM586
Lighter - 197g vs 234g
Current local availability with trade-ins
Cleaner and default bloatfree OS
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra's advantages:
Brighter screen - max 1700nits
Slightly more responsive screen - up to 480hz touch sampling rate, good for gaming
Largest mains sensor on a phone since the Nokia 808 - Most reviews still pending but it's looking promising
Zoom is miles ahead in both videos and photo capture - 5x optical with a bigger sensor
Can record 1080p 60FPS on front camera and 8k on all rear sensors
Bigger battery
67w wired + 67w wireless charging that charges equally as fast due to new battery technology
Gorilla Glass Victus front as opposed to GG5 on the OnePlus
Ceramic rear back - Defintely feels and looks more premium than glass or plastic imo
IR blaster if needed
Secondary screen depending on your use cases - Notifications, clock, answer/reject incoming phone calls, personalized logos/images to show off from your gallery
WiFi 6e support - nice to have future-wise
Cheaper/identical pricing - 12GB RAM / 256GB onboard storage costs less than OnePlus' 12GB RAM / 256GB storage offering (at least from what I've seen so far)
Bottom line: I'd recommend the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra easily!
Came across your thread and wanted to share my opinion.
I bought the OnePlus 9 Pro on launch day and ended up returning it.
The North American variant of the OnePlus 9 Pro is seriously lacking compared to its variants in other markets. It doesn't come with Dual-SIM capability which was a big selling feature for me personally. The screen is nice but didn't blow me away.
Mi 11 Ultra on the other hand has 1 of the best displays in the market currently in terms of quality/resolution/brightness.
I have had the OnePlus 5T since launch and it has served me well till now. The only downside of getting the Mi 11 Ultra in North America is that we may not get full 5G support. Even the global variant doesn't have most of the 5G bands used in US/Canada.
Does anybody know if Google Pay will work with either the Chinese ROM/EU ROM? The last xiaomi phone I had was the Redmi Note 4.
I doubt it will on the Chinese but it will on the already released fastboot EU ROM. And of course, when it's released globally, it will be on the native global ROM, so you could flash that too.
Google Pay was working for me on Chinese Ron in Mi10 Ultra, so I don't think there should be an issue with Mi11 Ultra.
