Unroot / factory-reset SM-A505FN - Samsung Galaxy A50s Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi,
So my friend has rooted his phone and installed custom rom though TWRP.
And now he want's to basically restore it how it was from the factory, and needs my help.
The problem is, I have no idea how to fix it, and I have search all round the internet and found some firmware but it doesn't work through ODIN. I get error messages through BL, AP, CP and CSC.
I have tried installing them all together and one by one. And with no luck.
Error messages:
All togheter: SW REV. CHECK FAIL (BOOTLOADER) DEVICE: 3, BINARY: 1.
Only BL: SW REV. CHECK FAIL (BOOTLOADER) DEVICE: 3, BINARY: 1.
Only AP: KERNEL REV. CHECK FAIL DEVICE: 3, BINARY, 1 (BOOT)
Only CP: No error message, goes through.
Only CSC: SYSTEM REV. CHECK FAIL DEVICE: 3, BINARY, 1 (CACHE)
Is there anyone out there who can help me?

SW REV. CHECK FAIL (BOOTLOADER) DEVICE: y, BINARY: x.
This message indicates you are trying to downgrade a partition image from bootloader version y to bootloader version x--Odin will not allow this.
You need to find a firmware image for your device with a bootloader version of 3 or higher--Then you will be able to flash it back to stock.

ODIN Softbrick Fix??

Hello,
I've spent the better part of 2 days trying to figure this out. First, I attempted to use ThePagel's ODIN guide to root without tripping the KNOX counter. That wouldn't work, as I constantly received NAND write start/fail messages. Ultimately, I followed the CF Auto Root guide at tomsguide-dot-com/us/samsung-galaxy-s6-guide,review-2856-3.html. I located my device (SM-G920T), and downloaded the appropriate auto root files which included ODIN 3.10.6. I previously downloaded and attempted to use ODIN 3.10.6 and ODIN 3.10.7. The ODIN version that came with the auto-root program had differences in the ODIN.ini file, but when I followed the instructions it flashed a CACHE.img and RECOVERY.img file, showed a green "PASS" sign, and attempted to reboot.
When my phone automatically attempted to reboot, the top of the GS6 logo screen has red letters stating "Recovery is not SEAndroid Enforcing." When I return to the download/ODIN screen I see the following in formation now:
Product Name: SM-G920T
Current Binary: Custom
System Status: Official
FRP Lock: Off
Secure Download: Enabled
KNOX Warrant Void: 1 (it tripped)
RP SWRev: B:3, K:2, S:2
After this failure, I realized my phone was previously Android 5.1.1, and the CF Auto Root files I used are for 5.0.2. Now I'm attempting to use ODIN to restore a stock 5.0.2 as well as a 5.1.1 build, but keep receiving the NAND Write Start/Fail message. After a NAND failure going to Android 5.0.2, I notice my device has a black and red message reading, "SW Rev. Check Fail. Device: 3, Binary: 1." Attempting to go back to Android 5.1.1 (where I started), the error message states "Device 3, Binary 2."
I've attempted to alter the .tar.md5 file and include ONLY the CACHE.img and RECOVERY.img, but when I do, the MD5 value doesn't match, and I am unable to proceed.
I'll continue to read threads and try to figure out how to fix this, but any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
I've tried to create my own tar.md5 files including only the CACHE.img and RECOVERY.img and naming them after the CF-Auto-Root-zerofltetmo-zerofltetmo-smg920t filename, but the MD5 hash/checksum doesn't match. I can't find anywhere to change it, and can't figure out how to make the MD5 check pass. WTF. I don't remember being this stupid the last few times I rooted phones.
**SOLVED**

Not sure what exactly changed, but maybe the fact I read this:
forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s6/help/tried-to-root-5-0-2-5-1-1-guide-t3191903/
I tried doing the same stuff, but it wasn't until I used PeaZip instead of WinRAR or 7Zip. I put the stock 5.1.1 Cache.img and Recovery.img files in my own .tar file (not tar.md5), and was able to use ODIN to push them to the phone. It rebooted, then did the dancing android monkey loading screen. All my other stuff is still on the phone.

You don't need to add the .MD5 to the file name..
Stick with .TAR, that will bypass the MD5 Check..

Your Knox warranty is void you can no longer flash stock firmware you'll have to download a rom that the highly respectable devs on here creating for you to use... you download the rom, boot into twrp recovery and flash the rom from there and it should get you up and running again.

PLEASE HELP Note8 hang the logo

PLEASE HELP Note8 hang the logo
The problem is as follows:
When I make a software update for the SM-950f / DS, the phone hangs on the samsung logo
I searched and flashed again with Odin but the result was an error
At startup the error message: kernel rev check fail device 2 binary 1
I flash twrp-3.1.1-0-greatlte_V3 the error: flash fail
Flashing TWRP-3.2.3-TwrpBuilder-greatlte-2018-08-21_17-30 similar results
Now I do not know how to start
I think you use the wrong Odin Version. You need Odin v3.13.1.
You used twrp already before your Software Update? Or why you want to flash TWRP?
Normally it's enough to flash a 4 part stock firmware to get your device working again. Use the "home CSC" file to don't lose your own files.
Edit:
on your first try it looks like you tried to flash an older firmware version. You can't downgrade the bootloader. Flash the same or a newer firmware.
Don't be afraid to hit the "Thanks" button if someone helped you. It don't hurts

For the TWRP error, are you wiping data (where you have to type yes) first? If you do not do that TWRP won't work. There is also newer versions of TWRP available.

Previously my phone was not rooted or installed TWRP, everything original.
The phone announces a new software update, I make updates and the result is a phone hang on the samsung logo
I downloaded a stock rom, I made Flash with Odin 3.13.1 but the result was a bug, now I do not have a Bootloader. I found out that I was flashing an old version.
So I need Flash recovery, I was trying to find a new version but as a result I could not successfully flash.
I have been trying to find a newer Fimware (such as Android 8) but now I'm still not successful

What do you mean you cannot flash and you don't have a bootloader?
"kernel rev check fail device 2 binary 1" means your device is binary 2 and you're trying to flash binary 1 onto your device.
e.g the latest version firmware for note 8 is N950FXXU4CRGA - U4 shows this firmware is binary 4. On the bootloader - SWREV B:1 - this should show if your device is binary 1.
You will need to first oem unlock the device to flash TWRP/custom img. Warning- flashing TWRP will result in KNOX 1.
Note - bootloader should still be there (you might just have drained all your battery) unless the flash failed during flashing bootloader (bootloader is download mode).
Download firmware here (same firmware for n950fd and n950f) - use samfirm program for faster download (only latest ver).

Very thank you
I downloaded the android version 8, I successfully flashed. But this time it was like the beginning. the phone is moving, into the upgrade and error, android child back
Then the phone automatically enters recovery mode
I implemented the wipe cache and wipe data but could not change the result

How to oem unlock the device?
To oem unlock (like all the new samsung devices) you must enable it in the developer options in settings.
As your phone would not boot oem unlock is not available. you must first ensure the phone can boot to stock firmware

TWRP Backup for A600FN

Hello,
I bricked my phone and can't restore it through Odin because it gives me an error: "sw rev check fail device 3 binary 1". I have installed TWRP on my phone though. I want to try to restore an TWRP backup, I made one but then formatted my SD-Card
Has someone got a backup that I can restore and it then works fine? I just want to have an working OS because I want to flash the Phoenix Kernel on my device. (An older version because it isn't working with the December Patch). Can someone help me please?

regarding your error, you must flash U3 firmware. maybe you flash U1 firmware but your phone already on U3. Flash latest...

Amazing! Now that I downloaded the "U3" firmware (i think i did) I get another error: "sw rev. check fail(bootloader) device: 3, binary: 1" what does that mean?? Is now something with the Bootloader wrong?
//EDIT
