Sweet, i have missed aosip on mi9. Thanks. Is there any telegram group/ chat ?

Awesome rom, good job!

@Jack1Player Glad I could help you a bit on your way and you finally got all things working ! Well done

Hey, buddy thanks for bringing us AOSiP for cepheus, I missed it a lot since my dead tissot. Hope the best for your project.

Very nice rom battery life so good with quantic kernel.

If it's possible, please provide more screenshot pictures, thanks !

Best aosp rom.

The ROM is excellent. Only two bugs to iron out:
- Google Pay does configure a card for contactless Pay, but you can't pay in the stores because the phone does not recognize the terminal and stays muted (no sign of life even unlocked and with the Google Pay app opened)
- I can't enable voice match for Google Assistant
Someone could confirm this couple of bugs?

I have the same exact problem with Google Pay.
Cards are added and verified by the bank. When I try to pay, the phone vibrates but nothing happens on the terminal.
Voice match is enabled for me though.

Very nice rom ty dev.

When I took it in my pocket it made a call to my wife, who walked next to me. Some minutes later in my pocket it switched the led on - so I deinstalled the rom.

Hi, thank you for reporting bug. Google Pay need Magisk and Magisk Hide but it's not a ROM related issue. Google Assistant doesn't work in different ROMs now, maybe Google is doing something (again)... So sorry, i can't do anything about

Migration from cm-14.1
Regarding installation, we recommend that users wipe when switching to LineageOS, and reinstall their gapps. However, we recognize that this can be time consuming, so we are offering an EXPERIMENTAL (read as, if it fails, you’ll have to wipe anyways) solution.
Alongside the ‘weekly’ release for your supported device, we’ll provide an EXPERIMENTAL data migration build.
This build will allow you to ‘upgrade’ from CM to the signed LineageOS weekly
This build may wipe permissions (you’ll have to re-allow app permissions), but should retain all user data
This build will be watermarked with an ugly banner to ensure that you don’t permanently run this EXPERIMENTAL release, and upgrade to a normal weekly after.
The process for this installation will be as follows:
Install EXPERIMENTAL migration build on top of cm-13.0 or cm-14.1 build (don’t try to install LineageOS 13.0 on top of CM 14.1, that will not work).
Reboot
Install LineageOS weekly build
Reboot
Re-setup your application permissions
Given the EXPERIMENTAL nature of this process, we are going to remove this option in two months time.

How's it going?
Hi guys!
I just wanted to tell my "way" of encrypting the device from 0.
- Flash TWRP, flash Cyanogenmod (and GApps) and other zips if you would like to.
- Reboot your Android to Bootloader.
- Flash CM Recovery (any Nightly or Stable version)
- Boot your Android to Recovery JUST AFTER THE FLASH (so you don't do twice the next step)
- In CM Recovery use the Factory Data Reset.
- Wait then reboot to system.
- Encrypt your phone.
- Reboot to Bootloader then flash TWRP (or your Recovery of choise, if you would like to) and done.
This will obviously delete the data.
The phone doesn't ask for passcode/pattern?
Change/re-enter your passcode/pattern then choose the ask for passcode on reboot.
Hope this helps, encryption is a must for security and awesome if your device gets stolen, I hope I'm helping, thanks for the new thread!

Wait for tomorrow's build.
ADB fixed *-* thank you very much \o/
Now we're talking! Thanks a lot @Kayant
It's unbelievable to have such an stable ROM this early!
In terms of installing CM without wiping data I just tried to install it coming from a CM13 install and it seemed to go fine minus Phone still crashing but everything else seems ok.
Now before I installed it I wiped Settings Storage, Call Log backup, Phone and Messaging Storage just to be safe but I still ended up with Phone app Fc. In order to fix that I deleted the Phone app via a file manager(root/system/priv-app/Dialer) then rebooted and finally rebooted again into recovery and reinstall the rom which fixed the phone app crashing. Alternatively you could just delete or freeze the phone app and download same one from the Play store
or an alternative Dialer app.

Hey I just made the thread and posts some links. @luca020400 @LuK1337 Gabriele M are the ones doing the real work
I can make an installation dirty this rom from another CM14?
Build 28-09-2016 has a recurring crash on exchange services even if you select mute.
EDIT: Reverted back to 27-09-2016, and it keeps on happening now. Both flash attempts were dirty though. Will try a clean install.
EDIT: The exchange error only happened once on build 27-09 after I reverted so I stuck to it. So far so good.
You can not change the value night mode, returns to the default value ... And some are heard something cut to the top..
.....edit.....
Today in version 29, mail and Exchange services force close when starting
The MM version of Xposed work with this ROM?

Strange, I had that problem on the 28th but it went away when I went back to 27th. No issues with 29 so far.
The ROM's been awesome, it looks like I have the same issue with YouTube App (minimizing the video inside the App turns to black)
I can't use the flashlight, I've been trying the fix someone said in the other thread, but nothing.
Also I don't know if it only happens to me, but downloading a thing using Chrome (I know it uses Download Manager) tends to cancel the downloads in background, it's not a internet issue.
Keep the good work!

No one in community can make los official As of now because los needs the guy who brought up tree ... unfortunately Alberto97 is no longer developing for osprey.. and we have to wait some magic from sultan Qasim Khan (squid)
I don't understand. Could @squid2 or @Alberto97 or you explain that? This looks like a perfect good rom for official, I asume that you would be willing to carry on the torch but in the end we can't have a perfectly good phone?
Can it be dirty flashed over LineageOS 15.1?
Planning buy this phone as secondary phone, when i saw the development i went happy. Thx for keeping this phone alive!!
Error with wifi connection: buffer space
Hi,
I do not have yet logcat or anything like that. Will try to get some data if that could give more clue.
Flashed that software yesterday - added gapps and su from lineageos.
All looked very nice, but then I got wifi connected but no internet message. Only on that device, so no issues with my home network as first check.
So I used dirty hack with adding settings as suggested:
https://android.stackexchange.com/q...cted-no-internet-but-internet-works-just-fine
but it did not help - so my problem was not detection of internet - but connection on device itself.
In Brave browser the message was like ERR_NO_BUFFER_SPACE.
Restart helped. For a time like few hours.
Now my detection settings are indeed disabled but real problem shows up.
I found some topic on lenovo forum about G5 - close enough - but no real conclusion - for some update helped, some requested phone replacement, and so on. No real root cause explanation.
My plan is to restore back to previous 16 version or even further back to 14.1..
Before going that routine - anyone encountered something like that? Any ideas?
Restart helps, so maybe it is indeed some temp space filling out. Next time I can try to get more from adb - netstat?
Regards
Jan
I installed the PIE Lineage OS a few days ago on my Moto G3 x1541.I've not had one single problem.Fantastic rom.Best yet and the Lineage team have outdone themselves.
Build number Lineage_osprey-userdebug 9PQ2A
190305.002 eng.ubuntu.20190313.090534 test keys
Tip:Before I install any custom rom I do a Hard Reset/Factory reset.
Then once I've installed the rom I let it boot to normal phone mode(Can take quite a while) then reboot to Recovery and do another Hard Reset before setting up my phones.
Also I make Nandroid backups of my Setup Stock rom before installing any Custom roms then I can be up-and-running very quickly.Once I've setup my phone with a Custom rom I again make a Nanroid backup for fast reloading if required.

Now I was able to observe it via adb. Attaching logcat part. There is successful check, and then failed.
What is odd, DNS and ping like commands do work. It is HTTP calls that fail.
But I had no clue what shortage can be observed on resources.
That socket error in logcat might be something.
I'm quite confident that I run some wipe while installing ROM. But maybe I need to do it over again.

Thanks, but I used the version that I had anyway and it worked without problems.
It is, as people said, a very good ROM. It could perfectly be official. I did not experience any problems at all.
(I did a factory reset before flashing the rom though. normal procedure, as I understand)
Tested:
>Camera: It works. Both photos and videos
>Screen Recording: It works
>Games: I do not play. Emulators work.
>Applications with real-time filters (eg SNOW): They work as expected.
>Netflix works
>Wi-fi and Mobile Data: They work, although in standby, and with Wi-fi, Data uses a lot of battery.
>VOLTE: Not available in my country, sorry
>Battery: It works much better than expected, but it's not magic. It works excellent because it kills applications in the background very aggressively. I did not see battery drains (and my phone is quite old).
Problems:
>Instagram, although it works well, does not show stickers, and neither those weird video recording modes that includes. And boomerang crash the app.
>The way it kills applications in the background is extremely aggressive by default. The first day I did not receive notifications until I opened those apps. I had to go to Battery settings, disable Battery Manager, and Optiization of battery in applications that I did not want it to kill.
This, if I'm not mistaken, is a general problem of Android Pie though
Tested on my Moto G3 8GB / 1GB ram variant.
Thanks for this marvelous 420 rom!

As I saw some odd failed calls for some class with facebook in name I decided to remove one game: "Word Of Words". Plus removed AdAway. As other candidate for creating connections.
And so far so good. It might change, but based on above I'm thinking that even if OS could handle that better - the cause was in software I installed.

Does this rom have a separate vendor partition? What's the difference with althafvly's LineageOS 16.0 rom (also based on chil360's trees)?
does encryption work?

If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log

Pretty Awesome But..
Thanks For the Great ROM, tried other ROMs too, but this seems better than others.
I'm glad you could use the LED on top of the device for notifications.
But you didn't mention about SafetyNet, when can we expect it to pass SafetyNet? I wanna use banking applications.
Also, You should add Gcam and/or Miui Camera for slow motion and other camera features, camera feels little off right now!

Thanks for your hard work. But the Bluetooth audio is still not working properly.
The connection was successful but the audio could not be played through the headset.
Maybe it's because my bluetooth headset supports TWS+?IDK.

Android 10 uses system as root, so you cannot mount it r/w while the ROM is up and running.
Either you must put the mixerpaths.xml to your system using TWRP (which can mount system r/w) or you should use Magisk to replace it systemless (Magisk is mounting the file into the system tree).

Just tested it, WiFi scanning works fine for me, although it's quite slow (MicroG issues, not the ROM itself), what version of Gapps did you use? Maybe try OpenGapps pico to see if that fixes the problem

I did the whole install procedure again.
Now wifi scan can keep turned on.
But when I come to map apps, it doesn't give my location.
There still be problem around location service.
Are map apps working for you?
My device is wifi version, gapps is open_gapps-arm64-11.0-pico-20210110-TEST.
I tried bitgapps gapps but didn't work for me.
Does the rom pass safetynet checks? Is there a quality downgrade on Netflix for example?
Thanks

I haven't tried it myself (as safetynet is broken on MicroG since last year), but this will probably work
SafetyNet (LineageOS 18.1)
1) Enable settings MagiskHide
2) install MagiskHide Props Config(Magisk module)
3) Open the terminal
4) su
5) Type "props"
6) Edit 1 fingerprint of the device
7) Choose a certified fingerprint
8) 21 Oneplus
9) Find an Android 11 device (OnePlus 8T global 44)
10) Follow the instructions
11) Restart
12) Clear Google Play Store Data
13) Check SafetyNet (should pass)
14) Open MagiskHide (Magisk -> Tap on the Shield symbol)
15) Check all apps that do not require root privileges
