hi guys and girls,
I received my new Xperia 1 II today.
And there are 2 things that bug me unfortently.
Google has take over the phone and installed a few things that are.. irritating.
#1 there is a Google search bar that i can't remove.
#2 the beloved Xperia interface is Gone.
Are there save work around for these issues??

I received my today too - great device!
You can remove the Google bar. Long-press on home screen -> home settings -> Show quick search box

I also disable the Google app because I find it invasive.
What do you mean by "Xperia interface" ?
Google Search bar is easy to remove. Long-press on the home screen, choose Home Settings, then disable "Show quick search box".

Hi i posted this in the Themes and Applications thread but i realise that i should have posted it here (since i got no responses). so here it goes.

Hi i recently purchased the diamond and i started installing some useful software on it, one of them being the very handy Quickmenu. Once i installed it though the "task manager" drop down menu icon that was located in the top right corner of my screen was gone and i cannon restore it. any ideas?
I mean the icon just right of the battery icon

I now have the same problem... :-(
I now have found the solution...
start > settings > system tab > task manager > button tab > check "enable quick menu on today screen"
Pixogen
Search for "Pixogen" on the android market to get any of these themes.

Email yourself
Go to the phone and sync the email
Tap to the wallpaper you want and after it opens tap "use as wallpaper" (don't save it to the phone because it loses the transparency)

I do not like any third party lockscreen app on custom rom
because in custom rom if I have enabled the hold back to kill option then holding the back button in the lock screen unlocks the device by just killing the app
if there is an app which can block button pressing I will love to have that

I've never used the quick settings tile, but I have added it to my power menu, and it has never seemed to do anything on my XT1060.
I just tried adding it in the power menu and the option doesnt even appear, any suggestion? alternate method?
