The charging stops at 60% - Huawei P30 Pro Questions & Answers

Hey, before couple of days when I plugged the device to the charger I got a message said battery charging status abnormal.
And today the device stops charging when it got to 60%.
Try to reset the phone and nothing. Can't charge over 60%. What can I do?
Thanks

Do you may be have enabled smart charging? Are you on 10.1

just back to earlier versions of EMUI
if you have a PC connect to HISUITE and select update then choose earlier version
you can't back 2 versions at same time you will back one version every time
the best version that will works for you is EMUI 9.1.0.133
that is my experience with my huawei phone after planing to send it to china for repair
it's a software issue not battery or hardware problem

Even though a bit late, updating for anyone who still faces this issue.
I also had this problem from Oct-20 and followed the steps to revert to older EMUI version for the phone to charge till 100%.
I did revert back to 10.0.0.195 and it started working for me normally. Immediately I had disabled all Auto-updates features.
Somehow, a system parameter update happened and again my phone went back to stop charging at 60%.
Now I believe this System Parameters update to be the root cause of the issue. I am using 10.1 version now without any problem since I haven't updated the system parameters.

[Q] TF701T is not charging via dock

Hello!
I have a strange issue with my new tablet. Dock is not charging my tablet even the tablet's battery is under 70%. For example, right now I have 57% of the tablet's battery (Not charging) ant 98% of the battery of the dock. The power led on the tablet is orange, but on the battery section of the settings it's said it's not charging.
If I plug a charger on, the tablet's battery starts charging (orange led and screen indication), the dock's battery is green.
The version of the firmware is V10.26.1.28.
Is it a software of a hardware issue? Do I need to bring it to a service?
Thank you.

Have you tried undocking re-docking?
sounds software related. I didn`t notice that on mine waiting for it to come back from it`s 5th trip to asus (who knows they might replace it...).
If a full reboot and undock redock does not resolve the issue i would suggest sending it away. you could also try factory reset of course.
btw i know you say it`s new (but how new) did you have this tab before that version of firmware?? if so was it happening then?

Thanks for the reply!
Sure I have tried undocking re-docking many times, but nothing changed. I've also tried to reboot and factory reset with no use.
I did a firmware update to V10.26.1.28 at the first boot of the tablet, so I don't know if the issue was present at the previous version of the firmware. If I should check it, I don't know how to roll back.

Quite a few docks with a 2013 build date had that charging problem. Check the manufacturing date of the dock on it's box. If it is 11/2013 or earlier, I would send it back for replacement. People did get 2014 docks. Don't settle for less.

Latest update bricked device. Cannot progress beyond lg logo

The update bricked my watch. I noticed it wasn't connecting with my phone so I reset device. Now it won't boot beyond the LG logo. Accessing the recovery mode of the bootloader did nothing. Still progressed to the logo and then died.
Update: it seems that the boot up sequence require you to be on the charger. I got 90% and it still dies upon boot. But after completing the sequence it allows me to remove it and interact with it.

I'm taking it that comment was meant for someone else. Updated without a problem and wasn't on cradle. Why would you need the cradle to boot or to update? OTA. Not connect to anything.

Mine booted with No problems.. without charging.. Battery at 58% when i started the update..
I believe it's a battery issue. When I charged with Quick Charge 2.0 charger, the watch went black when I removed it from charger (even though watch reported battery status to 100%), then I charged with 5V 1A charger. Now the watch reported very low %. After fully charging I was able to remove watch from charger, but % dropped from 100% to 0% in about an hour.
So now I've ordered a replacement battery and hope for the best. A Li-Ion battery is best charged at 1C, meaning the charging current should be the same as battery mAh capacity. For this watch case, the charging current should not exceed 400mA - and now I have my doubts about the watches ability to handle high current chargers.

Battery and charging

Hi, I have experienced a strange problem with my phone. When I got the previous version of android b832 I have noticed that the battery drain was very fast. Then I upgraded til b852 the battery holds longer but sometimes I have a problem with charging the phone.
A few times i it was charging almost the whole night and when I checked the battery it was the same level 12% as it was a day before. Sometimes it even discharges. Sometimes take the charger out of the socket helps but not always. The charger is very warm but the phone does not charge. The biggest problem is when the battery level is below 30%. I have also noticed that the phone gets a big warmer than with the previous versions of android. I wonder if its the device or the software. I have a month of the guarantee left. So if I want to do something with that it is the last call.
Did you try a factory reset after the upgrade to B852?
If not you could try
But backup your data before
Maybe you should give this app a try.
Battery Repair Life by Another Studio App
From Play Store
Battery Drain
I have kikat on P7, just suddenly after recharging using Xperia M2 charger, battery is discharging very rapidly. Have no problem since 1 year. I have rooted it and also hard reset. Still no effect. Any idea? If flashing ROM can help?

no i do not have it. and i am a bit to scared to do it myself. what do you mean by clean install?
i think that a problem with the battery occured after upgrading the phone to b839. then i upgraded it to b852. and the problem with charging ocured. i am on b839 now i wonder if i can use b800 backage to roll back. perhaps that would help...
You could try to download the full package of 852 and put it on SD card or internal storage in a folder called "dload" and boot up your phone by holding power vol + and vol -
But safe your data before it's like a factory reset with fresh install

but i thinkbthr problmr eith charging began when i updated ro b852. before that in b839 the battery drain was quick but it charged fine. now when i downgraded to b839. the problme with charging happends again. but it is not so frequent yet. someone told me that perhaps it is motherboard to blame. perhaps it is a shortcut. the phone did not have contact with water but they found rust i the headphones socket. but as i remember the problem bwgan with updating to b852. perhaps a coincidence.

Battery 100% On, 80% Off

phone says 100% but says 80% when off charging
Tried:-
1. 2 different battery callibration apps
2. charging 100%, depleting battery. repeated process a couple of times
3. Switched to Stock (Rooted), 2 Custom ROMs (Waited till it was 100% on both on and off before flashing)
Notes:-
1. Battery seems perfectly fine (takes a while before depleting and doesnt deplete before 0%)
Currently using stock rooted
l would start with replacing the cable and charger to make sure you are getting a full charge. Then monitor the usage time on your phone over a few weeks and see if the time to empty is getting less that is a sure sign of a bad battery
Recheck with another fast charger. Generally, we cannot say if is a faulty cable or you have an faulty adapter. I hope the device chargeboard is not shot/motherboard driven related issue. Also, have you recovered the device using Samsung Kies- Emergency firmware recovery?

I tried - original cable with original charger 6hr
- original cable with apple charger 2hr
- different cable with original charger 1.30hr
- different cable with apple charger 2hr
(Used different fast chargers too, same results)
I tried a smart switch recovery. Same conclusion which makes me think its a hardware issue

With original charger it takes 6hrs!!! Holy ****
I think its a usb port problem for sure.. Do one thing while connected to the charger go to device maintenance and open battery menu and see if it say charging via AC or USB if while us8ng the original charger it shows Chaging via USB then certainly its the port that has gone faulty..
Hit thanks if helped
Hello everyone! Though its not the right place to ask the question but I have been seeking solution to my problem from months. Long time before, my Galaxy Note II started to behave differently. Whenever I charged it completely, the phone worked normally till 75% to 80% and all of sudden a =low battery warning indication appears and phone proceeds to shut down. I tried changing ROM and calibrating the battery again but nothing worked. Finally I replaced the battery with a new one and also clean flashed another ROM in a hope to see if the problem is gone or still there. But to my surprise the problem is still intact. Now, when I turn on the phone the battery is 90% and when I keep using it, it drains normally, but as soon it reaches round about 80%, it turns off randomly. When I turn the phone back on the battery is still at the same percentage level at which is turns off. I believe there is not an issue with the battery. Please help me what to do, I am using TWRP recovery that doesn't gives the battery stats wipe option too. Should I flash a new ROM again? I would greatly appreciate if someone please helps me in sorting this problem.
What I have already done!
1. Replaced the battery
2. Changed the ROM
3. Re-calibrated the battery

I have noticed the same issue, I think. I suspect it is a general bug.
Guys, try charging your phone while in Android. When it reads 100%, switch off your device. Either leave the charge cable attached or reattach it after you have switched off. Now wait for the off-line charging icon to appear. Unless I'm mistaken, the percentage won't correspond with whatever your phone reports while your in Android. If Android says 100%, this will be a lower number. And off-line charging will keep on charging until you reach 100%.

Sorry for the late response. Internet finished, had to wait until the renewal date. During this time, i wiped the rom and re-installed it (Khongloi V11). Since there was no internet, i didnt sign in any accounts, Switched off the location. The phone surprisingly took 3 days before reaching 0.
Indeed, it says USB Charging 6hrs. I sometimes keep plugging and unplugging, it changes to A/C 2hrs.
I have this problem too. But I change batt_capacity_max to 1000, phone on 100% phone off 100%. If we recharge to full it will return to the same state (phone on 100, phone off ~80) so i need to change again. I don't know if this destroy my battery life ? I don't know why. I thought I'm the only 1 who have this problem? (sorry for my bad english)
I think this may be a software/firmware problem, not a problem with the battery.

I figured that was the problem but i tried it with three different roms (Khongloi V11, Final, Stock).
Maybe it's some kind of battery protection thing created when your battery is old or something?

The various ROMs may all use the same battery raportage code, which doesn't account for this discrepancy. After all, most ROMs are just fancy reskins of stock Android.
That said, maybe Samsung support can shed some light on what's going on.
On a side note? Is there anyone who reads this thread, whose reported battery charge (in percentages) is the same in Android as when the device is switched off and charging?
So... any solutions?

Honor 9 lite

I bought an Honor 9 lite it is 2 weeks old, been working fine, night before last it showed a notification message 'Battery temp. too low, functionality of phone may be affected'.
Since then it has rebooted, reset and all totally wiped back to factory reset, however now the phone when I plug it in to charge is charging but only goes as high as 2%.
Any ideas please, 2% charge is limited to what I can do within the phone and wont stay on long enough when connected to laptop through USB.
Saw someone mention calibrating the battery? would this fix it?
can anyone help please?

You can try recalibrating the battery.
But since you just bought the device taking it to the service center would most probably give you a free repair if it's a battery problem.
Recalibrating battery
How would I recalibrate the battery please? A step by step simple guide for a novice many thanks
