Solution for Hard Bricks (Blocked Bootloader; hs qdloader 9008) - Realme X2 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi guys!
I saw that a lot of people faced same problem as me (hard brick hs qdloader 9008) after blocking the bootloader. After several days of trying find help with Realme, service centers and on the forums I found in one of the thread here (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=82466297&postcount=5) guy who unlocked my phone (have acess to MSM Download Tool) through the TeamViewer. Maybe that would be helpful for people who lost any hope to recover their phones. They charged me 35$ for that. Recovery work took about 10 minutes.
Best wishes, Sergey.

Any news on this?, same here.
This is a hard brick. I did it by downgrading from 10n to 10h. I had to send it to LG for warranty repair service. To the best of my knowledge we have no tools to flash a phone in this state.
I'm ready to donate for resolve our problem.Let's collect the money for the programmer who will be able to creat the tool to fix our phone's..
I had this and I contacted tmobile tech support and they sent me a new phone expedited for 19.99 on my bill...
The problem is that I'm out of US. So can't send it to tmobile..also I saw that Vietnamese can repair boot but need the phone in hand...so this mean that they have some tool for repair H811
Maybe let's set up a bounty for fixing 9008 on the H811?
I can start with 20 bucks.

This happened to me as well. I'm currently trying this method http://www.droidsavvy.com/unbrick-qualcomm-mobiles/ I'll report back if it works or gets my anywhere
Let us know if this method work for our phone.
It seems that that method has an outdated programmer so it doesn't successfully upload to the phone.
It was pretty easy on the G2.........
I'm adding to my bounty, 30 bucks currently.

MI 8 SE HARD BRICKED help!!!

before it happened my phone could only go to twrp recovery and bootloader mode because it had no oc the i installed a firmware named (fw__miui_HM3Global_V9.5.3.0.LAIMIFA_7ee05887b5_5.1.zip) using the twrp after tapping reboot my phone never rebooted its hard bricked because the screen is always black no matter what button combination i hold nothing happens the xiaomiflashtool reads it as COM10 and pc reads it as (Qualcomm HS-USB QDloader 9008 (COM10)) i wanna know if i have any hope of getting my device back or am i screwed because cant afford an other one.
EDIT:i used the miflash tool on a different computer it reads the phone as COM4 now and when i try to flash the ROM i get an error with this texte "cannot receive hello packet"
i found online that the only fix for that is if i get an authorized miflash account
is that right? and if so how is it possible to get one? this is a problem that most people who brick there phones get . it would help alot if we solve the problem in this thread . thank u for your time.
Hi
I have same problem on my mi 8 se locked bootloader with system has been destroyed
Did you find any real solution please?
I have a phone which wont recognized via fastboot. Do you think EDL could help in this case?
Try some original CN Firmwares. This works for my brick.
What is this authorized account thingy? I got my account's permission to unlock bootloader since 2016 and I used a method (googled "miui how to know if your account is authorized" and the first link) (cus i am new i cant post links) to check if the account is authorized and it is apparently. Didn't you unlock your device's bootloader with your own account because it should be authorized or I dont know...?

Search for "XIAOMI Anti-Rollback Protection"
This is different than unlock permission. This thing is such a nightmare. I hardbricked my phone because of this, only after I paid 20$ for authorised account access, my phone got back to life.

My account is apparently authorized. I will ask some more in other places. I have been reading a lot and I think that it is authorized but not 100% sure if I will be able to unbrick devices.

No this is not what i meant. My mi account also show this to me.
Only authorized sellers have authorized accounts like Xiaomi india, xiaomi taiwan repair service etc. Users can not have it.
When you try to flash your phone via EDL it stops and ask you authorized account. But if you don't hardbrick your phone, you can flash with your account :good:

Mi 8 bricked authorized account (s-unlock.com)

hello everybody!
i bricked my Mi 8 like other thousands of users flashing global rom since chinese rom (i selected "clean all and lock" by accident).
I have been searching for a solution for weeks now but it seems that the only way is to get an authorized account to be able to bring back to life our devices.
It is redicolous that we have to pay to unlock our phones, anyway, i am searching for people with the same problem to buy multiple accounts for cheaper.
any answeres are much appreciated.
thank you in advance!
Forget that sh*t. Write this guy and ask him to help you. He has already helped more than 400 people I think and he's doing exactly the same than s-unlock bast*rds but for free, just to help. Honestly I think he deserves a donation if he helps you (like I donated when he helped me) but he will never tell you nothing about it. I truly admire him. @NikSalsa

You really have to. EDL cable doesn't work. By the way it looks like the guy I quoted in my previous post has set a web to charge for the service, sad. You can write him anyway and see what he answers.

yeah i contacted him and he sent me the link of the website, he basically provides the same service like s-unlock.com, just for cheaper, about 16 euros. I will go for that, it is the only solution.
thank you so much!
The difference is that EDL authorization doesn't require to open the phone.
Guys, hello!! I bricked my Mi8 too....
In my cellphone says "This MIUI version can't be installed on this device"

Of course, yes, i'm brazilian.
You need to open your cellphone and do the TESTPOINT for enable the COM PORT on your computer, the EDL mode. The next move is to flash with Miflash program and will ask you the ID verification, this ID only developers guys have.
But, they charge a value to do this service, which is to only authenticate on your computer, I have the contact of it if you want I can pass you, is a Brazilian.
I paid R$90,00BRL
Po thank you very much, I'll see him then, I managed to open and did EDL mode but my account does not have access, I'll talk to him

I am just as suffering from being fooled into purchasing a locked smartphone. But, I received a lot of help on this forum. I thank everyone. Mostly thanks to @NikSalsa MOD EDIT:link removed for the attention and support :Boa:. I believe one of the goals of this forum is to promote help, solutions and problem solving. And in this way fraternal actions arise. Something rare today. About services charged I think fair, as well as donation that I will make for sure. I hope that the willingness to help and recognize the help will not be extinguished.

Hey, I had the problem that my Mi8 China version with Global ROM was brick. After spending hours trying to test some of the possibilities and guesses of others. Unfortunately they all ended without success.
So i have addressed MOD EDIT: link removed under Telegeram. If necessary it is also reachable via Whatsapp under MOD EDIT: number removed.
He has explained with the steps what I need everything and after everything was downloaded it takes barely 5 minutes and my Mi8 started again.
Of course you can try all the instructions online or contact @remote_repair98 very fast.
Hey i have the same problem but not same device mine is redmi note 7 lavender but i lost my account password and i can't recover it so i opened the phone and tried flashing it vie EDL test points but iis say the edl auth error can you gelp me pls
On Mi 8 if your fastboot is still available, try issuing 'fastboot oem edl'.
This reboots my unlocked Mi8 into EDL mode without opening the back.
Tool https://github.com/bkerler/edl (thanks to Bjorn) has edl programmer included that doesnt require auth for this phone (poco loader in matched automatically) and allows for programming cmds.
You can either use this QDL or QFIL to download required firmware. Only stock firmware will boot if bootloader in locked.
Perhaps this will help someone.

there was some technical jargon i couldn't understand if i wont trouble you too much can i dm you on telegram or something i wont ask too much questions

Hardbricked K20 Pro - Ug

I fell for the old 'clean all and lock' in MiFlash :|
Can boot into recovery (with red warning) or FastBoot. In fastboot, fastboot commands indicate that bootloader is LOCKED. Phone is OEM locked and won't flash firmware.
I tried the 'test point' method. Attempting to use MiFlash to flash firmware at that point gets error that it's not possible without 'authorisation'.
It seems that the tools and services which people used to use to fix this last year are no longer available (S-Unlock global service and XiaomiTool.net ) (UPDATE: S-Unlock tech support say 'sorry Xiaomi service offline' ... doesn't sound good)
There is something called .xiaomitool.com/ which is a different tool but doesn't yet offer hardbrick unlocking.
So... I have no idea where to go from here. At this point, I'm happy to pay $30-40 to get it sorted if anyone knows a UK service who'll do that.

There was a couple of WhatsApp numbers hidden away in some of the hard brick guides, not sure if they're still useful, I've seen a post saying one Russian guy that used to do remote EDL flashing has stopped doing this. Also the mods have been clamping down on those posts as they constitute advertising. But you could still try hunting them down, which may take a few hours, and giving them a go.
Otherwise it's following this advice from the official MIUI forums and crossing your fingers.

What if you hard brick your Redmi Note 9 device?

I am a long time user of Xiaomi devices, and have rooted every one I have. I recently purchased the Redmi Note 9 for my girlfriend and intended to root and block ads etc. I am quite proficient with rooting processes and the tools needed to make that work.
I could find a working TWRP for the phone, and used ADB and Fastboot to program this. However, it seems the MTK Helio G85 is a bit more tricky than a Qualcomm based device. So I basically failed to get root working. In the end through a late night error I managed to delete the Boot.img of the device leading to the dreaded 'hard brick'. I have read on the Forum others who have the same symptoms - basically boot loop, no access to Recovery or to Fastboot. Bad luck my friends this is a Service Centre repair.
So I took to Googling on the issue and found a Russian who advertised a Service Centre repair service but over TeamViewer. This was advertised at US$29 for a fix. Why could he do it? Well he has the Service Centre auth codes needed to do a full recovery of the phone. So taking pot luck I sent my US$29 and they did exactly what they promised. Accessed my PC remotely worked with me to get the correct files set up, and then loaded up their authorised service build on my PC and re-programmed the bricked device. After a 2 hour re-charge (best to do this reset with no battery power) I performed the 3 button re-set and the phone came back to life. Never left my house, and the phone re-booted with a full build of MIUI.
I am not sure if the mods allow me to provide their details, so I in order to keep my XDA status OK I'll ask you to PM me if you need the details.
Saved my phone, and to be honest was worth the cash for the no hassle repair. I am not in a Service Centre area, and this quick reliable fix was great. Took a risk, but the provider is genuine and authorised repair agent. Their English was great, instructions clear, and all the hard work they do remotely on your PC. I scanned for viruses after the session - was all clean.
If you get in a fix, this is a good reliable and convenient solution.

Maybe this is kind a ethical question. I don't consider its ok to pay someone to be able to flash your device, specially if you have to send money to some anonymous russian guy and hopping you are not getting scamed. Clearly its not a comfortable method and it shouldn`t be that way.
If I ever need that service I would use it just to record username and password with a keylogger and post it freely, its ridiculous to pay for flashing your phone.
Yes but...

If you actually hard brick your device (mine shipped from China direct) you have a lot of hassle to get it fixed. If you don't have a service centre nearby, double the hassle and significant costs / risks to ship overseas. Sat at home, someone with the skills and the important EDL keys (i.e. registered repairer with Xiaomi) could fix the device. Mine was an unlocked phone, therefore technically I had removed the warranty. $29 to flash a bricked device and fully recover from my ****-up. OK value for me.
Hello, could you show me how to do it?
If you got bootloop after flashed magisk, you need to flash stock rom boot.img.
For removing modules, you have two methods.
For first method, you need to boot in emergency mode, open magisk manager, remove module and reboot.
(It works only with magisk +v21.)
(To boot in emergency mode, keep pressed volume down after boot starts.)
For second method, you need to flash the original stock boot.img, open magisk manager, remove module, reboot and then flash the magisk patched boot.img again.
If you are using V12.0.5.0 or higher, TWRP will not work.
Here, you can find boot images for original stock and magisk patched: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...omi-redmi-note-9-xiaomi-redmi-10x-4g.4204671/
If you want to keep TWRP working on V12.0.5.0 or higher, you need to flash the stock rom lk partition using V12.0.4.0 (or lower). (It will works perfectly with lower lk partition version).
Here, are LK images for flashing: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...omi-redmi-note-9-xiaomi-redmi-10x-4g.4218925/
If you want to disable TWRP, you need to flash stock rom recovery partition.
Here, are RECOVERY images for flashing: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...omi-redmi-note-9-xiaomi-redmi-10x-4g.4204671/
If your device keep booting in recovery (or blackscreen), you need to erase misc partition.
Here, is the guide for erasing MISC partition: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...omi-redmi-note-9-xiaomi-redmi-10x-4g.4209299/

Paid solutions are no longer needed. Redmi Note 9 factory firmware is out, so you can unbrick your phone, even if it's hardbricked, without authorised account.

If you are on MIUI V12.0.5.0 or higher, you can NOT flash without authorised account using flash tool.
You really need the EDL auth if you are on MIUI V12.0.5.0 or higher.
