Sim Selection unavailable

Hi I have a Nokia 8 (TA-1004) which is dual sim.
I have a 3 sim and a plus net sim installed.
When I select the default sim for data it works, same for messaging.
BUT when I open the selection for calls i cannot change it from "ask every call" to either of the sims though it looks like it should be possible.
Anyone come across this before? what is the answer? phone is latest OTA updates.
Nokia 8 not permitting selection of preferred sim for calls
Hello I have exactly the same problem as described below by Pontprennau. Also on a Nokia 8 (TA-1004) in the Network & Internet screen under "SIM cards" and then "Calls". Setting preferred sim for sms and data are permissable for both Sim 1 and Sim 2, but setting the preferred sim for calls is not permissable and continuously force-defaults back to the "Ask every Time".
Can't imagine that the network provider has anything do with this problem though ie whether it is a T-Mobile, 3 or any other network.
If any information/resolution on this are available would be much appreciated. I have the latest OTA updates provided by Nokia/HMD Global.
Thanks

Dial using secondary SIM

Hi all, I usually use SIM 1 to make phone calls.
Sometimes I need to use the SIM number 2.
How can I choose which SIzm to use while dialing the number?
Is there any hidden option?
I would not like to enable “ask for each call” feature because I use SIM 1 99% of the times.
Thanks in advance

You can choose the one of the two dial buttons, after typing the number based on the SIM card.
You can change the SIM settings in preferred SIM to always ask, which SIM to dial.
I did not have the two buttons because, somehow,u secondary SIM was disabled.
I had to reboot the phone to reenable it.
Now it works.
Thx
