Hay guys how' everyone?
I am looking to put together a team of people to crank out some development work on our device.
I don't know everything But I do bring some Graphic Design skills to the table.
I have plenty of free time and want to make our device better in any way I can.
Im hopeing to find other developers to learn from I really want to learn to build update packs using aroma and make roms using kichen.
I figure anyone interested in joining up could send me a pm and then we get together on Skype or google hangouts. and see want we can accomplish.
or if you are alredy part of a team maybe you could recrut me. because im not crazy about working alone. I have been working with the device alittle over a month so far and I have been porting other android content to the sg4.
Im very interested in putting together a full featured rom. with many customizable options.

I didnt wantto start a new thread for this but can anyone fix this so it installs on s4 i think there is something wrong with the update script
i get failed in twrp.
i think it was made for another device but im planing on porting & moding to bring some sony content to s4.
and i need help with this if anyone can?
i wish i knew how to do it?

What is The UBports Project?
Ubports team of developers and a meeting place for developers that wish to port Ubuntu Touch to as many devices as possible, This is a place where Developers can talk to other developers and learn from each other and help push Ubuntu to more devices as teams, or by yourself but with community support if you wish.
If you’re a user of a device without much developer knowledge this is also a place you can help out, you could try to link developers together if you think they could help, you could send a link, or help by throwing a bone, donate devices or money for things such as OTA (over the air) update servers, web server, CI servers and other money costing services and items!
A user can also get some help if they spot a bug or have any issues with there Ubuntu Touch Device, there are many Developers and Users that would love to help you with any problem you have!
This is a place for Users and Developers to Play, I mean Port nicely!
What is Ubuntu Touch:
Ubuntu Touch is a new OS to mobile devices, developed by canonical. The biggest problem with it now is the lack of support to different devices, that is what we want to change…

Does it look like something you would use as a daily driver? or may you just be curious on what this all is about, Join us at the forum or download Ubuntu touch to your device. If the device is not listed in the device page, you can vote on your device to get ported.

Currently we only support the OnePlus One, and we will try our best to port the new OnePlus Two as fast as it's out. That said, we are always looking to port new devices!

Ubuntu touch a706
Can someone give a link to Lenovo a706 Ubuntu Touch ROM? I cant port it on my own( And i could't find such ROM on the Internet. And i wanted to have Ubuntu Touch on my phone.
I hope, that someone will help me with this. Cause im a big fan of Linux Ubuntu and this phone version is realy awesome

My name is Krupal Ashoccumar owner and part of the Dravite Team of 3 who has developed the HomeUX.
HomeUX picked up quite well and has 90k installs now with a lot of positive feedbacks from the users but because of uni commitments and budget our team were not able to finish the project and squash out all the bugs. Our team loves this launcher and we don't want to leave this project incomplete so we will like to go open source and ask other developers to join.
HomeUX will obviously be free and works on all the other devices but because we mainly tested it on OPO and more stable on this device.
Please let me know if anyone is interested and I can provide you with the access to source code and dev console.

Like arjun, Even I have experience only with basic android apps. But I would love the opportunity to gain some experience by trying to contribute to this.

Is there still any development for HomeUX? The Launcher looked really promising, but then I lost progress of it and now I just discovered that the Launcher got discontinued as it seems, as I can't access the Google Play Page. Is there any possibility to include me in the Dev Team or upload the Code to GitHub or any other platform so that people can help out or build forks from it?

The phone is pretty much perfect,the only thing holding it back is color os
I have havoc os gsi right now on my device and I really think it would be great if a couple of things were added to it
-90 hz refresh rate
-face unlock and fingerprint unlock
-stock color os camera
-slight optimization for the animations
I believe this would be a perfect Rom if those were added to it
we need this badly
Giving up finger unlock is not acceptable in exchange with a decent software, this device is a true beast.
I came from pocophone using havoc, and i can't imagine using any other rom!
I guess we are stuck on colorOS for a long time..
Unfortunately, my dreams to see a PE ou havoc ROM are gone..

I've searched threads. How can I participate in donation? I would like to have a custom ROM, so give a little donation it's a good thing to do.
Many people are willing to donate for custom ROMs,this phone is a step away from being perfect,best price best quality but a very bad software

For those having trouble how to find the telegram groups:
Install Telegram application. Open the app > Tap on the magnifying glass icon on the upper right corner > write Realme X2 Pro Official > tap on the name of the group in the list > tap join > done!
Good luck. Check the group and messages before donating anything to anyone.
Just my opinion on the matter and not to curb anyones excitement but I won't hold my breath for a regular custom rom support because a) Realme is not a well known brand yet, unless Indian devs decide to do something I won't see this getting much progress, b) Realme and its owner Oppo are not custom rom friendly brands. I want to be wrong but my experience says otherwise.

Guys our device is short of pro developer who can develop device tree so we talk to a pro developer and obviously if he develop then he needs the device, if the fundraiser succeds can do wonder to our device

The RN8 community actually took a poll in the telegram groups to confirm members voluntary intentions to crowdfund the device to the Dev, and feedback was overwhelming. As we all agree and accept this voluntary step is crucial to rapidly and effectively grow development for RN8 device, we the community don't just want ROM, or Kernels but Bugless as possible through a real recognized Dev who knows his code, to be safe, secured with open source ethics at heart. I will strongly recommend and advice others members to actively join this cause and make it a success
Remember; It is voluntary and we are not forcing anyone
It's just my opinion but, every donation will return to community ×100000 in the form of rock solid, vivid and high quality development. No need to rip off anyone's pockets, if we do this in a spirit of collectivity. Thus said, lets put our alm on this effort.
Everyone should contribute for this because it make our redmi note 8 more stable on development.

I'm not on the Telegram groups, so what I say might be irrelevant/obsolete, but woud you guys consider doing the same thing with developer @Dyneteve, if they do not yet have a willow or ginkgo device? I for one would be happy to contribute, as many kernel/device trees I've been looking at seem to come (more or less directly) from some of their work, and they're anyhow thanked in many ROMs I've been using.
What a successful fundraising it was ^^. I wanted to ask though are there now more chances for cameras to be fixed in android 10?

We don't know, according to 33bca he shipped the device to the new Dev but the new Dev didn't get the device yet,
