Nice one! Downloading it now. I'll give some feedback this evening after I've had a play with it

Seems to be working pretty well so far
Only problems I've found since applying the mod are with lens blur (crashes and closes the app) and slow motion (doesn't capture anything)
Takes nice stills and video otherwise, on the strength of a few snaps ?
Edit
Currently much slower to capture a shot than stock camera
Comparing a few shots of the same scene with both cameras, the stock camera has the edge. Gcam, surprisingly, has over saturated blues; a bit too dark. Not much in it though

Excuse me, I'm new in this and I don't know how "install" the .xml file into the camera app.
Can you help me to how to do that?

1. You only need to put the configuration file in (/Storage/GCam/Configs), if not, please create a new directory
2.Open the camera, double-click the area next to the shutter, and your configuration file will pop up

Works amazingly well, hopefully we can get newer versions ported eventually!

Waiting for ultra wide and macro enabled version. Thanks!

I did it as you instructed but the snaps don't save

works really fine for me, thank you so much

I did some test with 4 diferrent GCAM with default settings
I dont have tripod, so the test dont be perferct.
What do you think is the best?
bonsoir,je trouve que la version reborn a des couleurs plus prononcés et meilleurs details
I think that tr_camera_reborn is better that all others in your test.. do you have the link of this camera apk??

I dont think that.
TR_Camera_Reborn colors are to loud and exaggerated.
version 6.3.017 - stable version v9 is more natural.
It´s just my option.
BTW heres the link for reborn versions https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-tigr/
saturation is a matter of taste and anyone can set it within 5 seconds of editing, so is sharpening etc. imo tigr is a proven winner v7 is not close yet but devs will get it there when android 10 is out for our device

I totally agree less on the winner
Can you take some pictures with various versions as I did to see differences please?
And can you share your configuration you use on tigr Gcam and witch version you use?
I think ANXCamera (which is the Modded stock MIUI camera) https://camera.aeonax.com/ is good for day to day use in multi environments. (requires root to load the libraries for 48MP mode to properly work)
I also think Bulkin043 aka InnocentParrot's gcam port (PMGC) https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-bulkin043/ is well if you load the RN7 xml config. And also works well in multi environments.
tigr TR_Camera_Reborn https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-tigr/ i think has too much un-natural color and cant be changed within the camera app, therefore i dont like it.
BSG GCAM https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-bsg/ worked good and took good pictures, but i think Bulkin043 aka InnocentParrot was better
san1ty gcam port i havent tried, but works on android 10 supposedly. Also needs to load redmi note7 xml config. https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-san1ty/

i was just testing and don't remember which XML i used, but none of those sound familiar, i have since deleted the xml, its really a matter of personal preference of what kind of color reproduction and accuracy you like, test a few of them out and see which ones you like, in general i like my pictures with more detail, less blurring (non filter), and a slight hint of saturation but by no means overly saturated, i literately mean just a tad bit saturated and a bit to the darker side.
I cant load .XML files on any app. I move the files on GCam/Configs7 then tried to double tap and didn't work. could someone help me, please?

So, let's recup: which is the best gcam and xml options for rn7 kavender with stock rom?

Anyone have camera samples? Perhaps also using Gcam?

This phone is insane for $200, I'm not understanding why it is not getting more love in the XDA community. With a good ROM this would be a killer combo. I'm would like to grab one but I can't find any camera samples. Anyone mind sharing some pix, hopefully some also from Gcam if possible? Thanks!
Are you looking for gcam from vendor ROM as shipped? GSI ROM? or stock China ROM ? All I can see on GSI ROMs is that Nightmode doesn't quite do what it is supposed to do - it seems to shoot as it supposed to, but does not smooth the photo the way my Mi Mix 2 does (and I tried dozens and dozens of gcam versions because most don't work on this phone). Vendor ROM as shipped includes stock camera which seems to just use higher ISO for night photos. So gcam still wins at night, but daytime photos look about the same for me. Keep in mind I am not very picky about these things.

One question guys! Does anyone notice the extreme lag when using the camera indoors? Not even with low light but "normal"... It makes almost impossible to take a picture without being blurred, since it also takes a few seconds to shoot.

Yes, I agree with that. This happens with the Stock Camera app
Hence I use Gcam, Which works perfectly in this case. There is no lag in Gcam

I'm also looking for a setting for it but no luck so far, I'm stressed that the image on the screen looks good but when you take the picture it looks a bit more blurry. As if it were being Post-Processed. I want me to take the photo as it is taken by the sensor but unfortunately even in RAW the photo is retouched.

Yes, and unfortunately the image looks just as processed. The strangest thing is that when capturing the image with HDR it should be seen with its respective dynamic range, but to my surprise the Normal/HDR+/HDR+ Enhanced photos look exactly the same. To take photos with HDR I had to resort to apps like Open Camera. So I use 3 camera apps on my phone.
The Stock App for videos, GCam for photos and Open Camera for HDR/DRO or photos with custom Bracketing

Same as other GCam, it does not take HDR photos but takes clearer photos. The dark ones stay darker while the costs shine a lot. I'm taking the photos in RAW with HDR in Adobe Lightroom

If I save them regardless of the settings, the problem is that the photos should be HDR but instead I get normal photos.

Question FUNCTIONAL GCAM

Hey guys, im planning to buy this phone. I wanted to make sure gcam is functional in all cameras on this phone. By functional i mean working hdr+ and properly saving it(nothing else)
My main concern is the front cam that uses omnivision ov60a sensor and main( hp1 )and ultrawide sensor that are samsung. (And we know that sabre merge in gcam mods only support sony.so superres might be out of question) Yet based on gcam reviews of other phones with these kind of sensors i fear that their gcam output in low light be full of purple tint and artifacts (let alone the crashing) . Can anybody test gcam on edge 30 ultra’s cameras to confirm it works okay in hdr+?
P.s:
I know that many phones dont offer better pics with gcam than stock camera app .But front cam and zoom cameras’ potential is often wasted in stock app and gcam can make em way more effective(better bokeh quality and dynamic range in portrait to say the least)
I think many gcam mods will work just fine with this phone.
I also share link here so everybody finds quickly gcam builds to test. Most used gcams these days are builds from LMC, Shamim, BSG and AGC

Question Camera Photo Quality Improvement in Mi 11 Ultra

Greetings, my dear friends! As a proud owner of the Mi 11 Ultra, sporting the MIUI Global 13.0.5.0. SKAINXM stable ROM, I must admit that its camera quality is nothing short of exceptional. However, I'm keen to explore ways to elevate the photo-taking experience to new heights. Unfortunately, the camera doesn't come equipped with processing software to enhance the images, unlike its Samsung counterparts, which is causing some pixelation issues while zooming in on shots.
I did try to install the LEICA Filter edition of the Mi Stock camera App, but alas, the installation didn't go through. I've also explored other camera apps available on Google Play, but they pale in comparison to the stock camera app.
Therefore, I would be forever grateful if any esteemed users of this phone could share their insights on how to further improve its already-impressive performance.
Regards.
Not sure if it will help, I'm on MIUI 14 Weekly(23.3.7) from Xiaomi.eu.
What I have always done in all versions is to experiment in every situation between Forced HDR instead of Auto, AI on and off and 50mp photos. The same with videos.
Overall, HDR auto and AI on usually have more consistent photos.
