Correct Rooting and Kernel Package for Samsung Galaxy Note Neo SM-N7505 Germany

I have a few questions
1. Which Defaut Kernel, and where can I download it? I have SM-N7505 Baseband version N7505XXUDOK5 but I had originally N7505XXUCNG5, last year it bricked and I had it worked on it works now but I really dont want the russian kernel os, and the base kernel seems to be Russian which I want to remove and set to the correct base original stock kernel os or Samsung Kernel and Android Lolipop or Marshmallow. Not really interested in putting other os or over doing it... just want to root so I can delete and setup the system how I want without blocking and system stops.
2. I am familiar with ADB and Odin but need to root through Linux as this is my OS.
3. I have looked through many roots here but none are specific to my needs so help is much appreciated. I would even setup a remote for a tech who is willing to help me out.
4. My biggest issue is how to properly extract and what files to extract and upload to my phone to root it
I hope this is clear. I have international calling and will call or connect with anyone who is wiling to help me out.
Any help is very much appreciated
Cheers!

Big Problem after phone rooting

Hello,
As a preface I have to say I'm less than a newbie in this matter.
My Huawei P8 Lite 2017 (PRA-LX1) had problems with lack of internal memory, so I decided to find a solution.
Following suggestions coming from some forums, I decided to root the phone to move the apps to an external microSD card and free the internal memory.
I got the unlock code and I used Multi-Tool for Huawei v.8.0.7.1 to root the phone.
After rooting I found in my phone only few apps and even Google App Store and keyboard were missing. To fix this last problem I downloaded and installed Gboard apk and then Firefox (no browser ar all in the phone).
Nevertheless, I can't even setup the Google account in the phone because in account settings is not available any Google option.
I'd like to setup the phone to install the apps and then change partitions and move the apps to the external SD card.
These are the installations I applied via the Multi-Tool:
- TWRP-3.1.1-2_by_greatslon.zip
- SR1-SuperSU-v2.82.zip
Please, could you help me on try to fix this issue?
I'm available even to do everything from the beginning if better, but I need to fix this issue.
Thank you very much in advance for any help.
Bets regards,
GP
Hi,
You need to format data using eRecovery. Flash it back if you have twrp, format user data then flash twrp and root etc..

Could you write me the link to the original firmware ROM? If needed, how can I get the IMEI number for my phone from the TWRP? Is it possible? I think is needed to identify the single/dual sim model, is it right?
At the moment, after trying to restore the phone, I can only get access to the TWRP. The phone is bricked :'-(
Thanks,
GP

Hello,
is there anyone who can help me on restoring my phone?
At the moment I can only use the TWRP to try to fix it.
Might you write me the link to the stock firmware ROM and a step by step procedure to restore it?
I thank you in advance for any help you would give me.

I recommend you to look at htc mania for a ROM (you can find the phone there as Huawei P9Lite 2017, altough I can't say for sure that the phones are exactly identical so I don't know if it will work for you but gsm arena says that they are the same phones with different names). I'm on mobile right now, sorry can't give you the link.
I need to ask you (unrelated to your problem), what command did you use when installing TWRP?

Hello Jhon_Locke,
first of all, thank you very much for your answer to my message. I'm going to check htc mania to try to fix my issue.
About TWRP installation, I used Multi-Tool for Huawei and Honor v. 8 to install TWRP in my phone, so I didn't use a direct command.
Thank you very much again!

Note 9 | Cert Patch, Root and Update ... Help

Hello,
I need help and guidance on some things regarding N960F/DS.
My phone was rooted with magisk on android pie, so when i flashed the android 10 Q rom via odin and everything was fine except i didn't have any network and my IMEI status was NG. While the IMEI number was ok for both sims. I knw that you have to patch certificates in order to fix the network. I didn't have the tools so i got it fixed from a shop.
Now i want to know a few things.
1) can i somehow update the firmware without having to go through all the root process and having to patch certificate ??
I found this video where this guy patched the AP file with magisk manager and just flashed the files via odin ??
will this method work with note 9 ?? and do i need to do any other extra steps ?? i also read about fireflash in the S7 forum, will that method work ??
2) if i backup this rom and incase i get a IMEI NG problem will i be able to just restore the rom ?? or will i have to patch the certificates again ??
3) is there any other workaround of patching certificate ?? are there patched modems available for note 9 ??? can i backup certificates ?? is there a permanent solution to this ??
4) which is the best tool to patch certificate ?? chimera ?? Z3X?? or any other ?? and do they support the latest android 10 security patch ??
Thanks
I'm facing Same problem n960f and set of questions.

Rooting device?

If I root this device to use titanium backup and root for apps like gsm battery - if i were to upgrade using samsung services, would this undo my root or lock my phone from future updates in some way?
Is it advised against updating if one were to root in the future?
Lastly why can't I call record?

I will try to answer....
First, IF you Root, one is Not able to do the OTA updates! ( Meaning, you will not be able to update the phone from within the devise)
Second one- The Hard Q to address - Only due to the fact that Everyone is Different. Everyone uses their phone differently. Plus, add in the fact that Samsung has stated, that the S20 FE will receive regular security updates and a few OS updates as well!! (When Purchased in January I has Android 10. A couple of weeks later, it was February, Samsung updated to Android 11. (Knowing later this year, if not next, we will be on Android 12, says something, about the devise!))
Now all that said, knowing XDA People, in time, we should be able to have Our beloved Root, as well as, Updates that come from Google and Samsung.....
I had to check my phone (recent update, things have changed a bit...) in my case, I no longer have call recording (stock) on the phone! It has disappeared!!!
if you don't mind downloading and manually flashing the latest update via Odin, keeping root would mean taking the boot.img (I think) from the tar file and patching it via magisk and then putting it back into the tar file and flashing the whole thing.

not available from here yet, you'd have to download the firmware from one of the Samsung firmware sites / apps. don't quote me on these names, Samfirm, Sammobile and Frija. and again don't quote me, do your own searches here to confirm but if you use the HOME_CSC file instead of the regional one your data won't be wiped.
you'd lose root if you didn't also patch the boot.img file and copy that back to tar archive.

you're confusing me now. so what's the order if I do want to update and keep root?
Root->magisk patch after its released for current upgrade (any eta on time after samsung releases)->upgrade?
my last Samsung was fully custom rom and I only ever flashed radio and bootloader, I got those from links in forums. I think firmware is pretty quick in being made available on these sites / apps but I've not used them myself.
so imagine your phone is already rooted (that first initial root is more involved as there's a data partition wipe), new firmware comes out.
* download that firmware
* open the archive tar of that firmware and copy boot.img file to your phone (I've only read this once so confirm I have the correct file name).
* from your phone install magisk v22
* open magisk and options for direct install will lead you to patching the boot.img
* when that's done, move the patched file back to your computer and replace the original version with the patched one. it might be handy to keep a copy of the unpatched file safe in case you need it one day.
* from your computer flash the contents of that tar archive, you'll need to read a proper guide for this, the correct files need to be assigned to the correct partitions in Odin (the flash app for Samsung) and the names aren't all obvious. also you need drivers for Odin too, and a good version that works for this phone.
* one of those files that needs to assigned is called the CSC file, that deals with the region your phone is going to be (put simply). if you use your phones correct CSC file for the region of firmware you downloaded the data partition will be wiped.
to avoid that you can use the HOME_CSC file and data will not be wiped. on your initial first root you will have to wipe though to make sure your storage is not encrypted.
* you really want to follow guides for everything you're doing for the first time, don't rely on previous experience. Samsung phones are different to Pixels etc. some guides are written as if you'll know half this stuff already, if you don't it doesn't hurt to ask someone.
lol, I haven't actually rooted my own phone yet. I'm waiting to borrow a laptop plus seeing how things develop with TWRP / mods / new procedures.
