So.. I tried to install YT Vanced for non rooted user and the app isn't responding after I open it. It gets stuck on Vanced logo and crashes. Anyone has a working YT Vanced link?

Need help to disable/block YouTube ads for good (Rooted Device)

I need help in getting rid of those extremely annoying youtube ads before something plays... My device is rooted so im sure there's an easy way?
Lastly is there any way to enable youtube playback with screen off or in a different window? (there used to be a xposed module for this a long time ago...)
THANKS !!!
Check out the iYTBP thread. Should be in the General Android Apps&Games section.
It's basically YouTube with bg playback and inbuilt adblocking

Ah, you don't necessarily need the Magisk variant. I wouldn't recommend it, just clutters Magisk imho.
Go for the rootless variant, install the iYTBP-Youtube and MicroG-for-iYTBP (both can be found on the MediaFire links or AFH) and just launch&setup with your primary account you use YT usually with.
Don't worry about battery. I'm using that combo on my N8 (rooted w/ Magisk) aswell and it's no drainage.
download tutuapp apk.. then download youtube ++ and iYTBP from tutuapp store:good: It will also work on non rooted phone
I installed iYTBP manually & it works great. Really easy. Uninstall prev YT, create folder, copy iYTBP apk, set permissions & reboot.

Alright, good to hear it works again. Just beware that as soon as Magisk looses root randomly or it crashes accidentally, iYTBP will need a reboot to work whereas the non-root variant will work regardless of Magisk status (which makes it a tad more attractive, don't you think )
Yeah that makes sense, I've been having issues with magisk loosing root to often now... I'll give it a go...
Oh, how about blocking YouTube ads that appear from external pages? For example if i click on a video link from Facebook... It opens a browser version of YouTube and that has ads... Anyway to stop these?

How does YouTube Vanced work?

I installed both modules from magisk but still get the video ads in YouTube... What am l doing wrong?
You have to uninstall stock YouTube updates, disable auto update in Play Store, flash the module, then open the regular YouTube, it'll show up as Vanced.
And don't use the dark theme.
Thanks, I don't know how to install stock updates... I Uninstalled from the play store and reinstalled with the auto update box unchecked... But how will I know for sure that Vanced is enabled? Will it say that anywhere in the app?
I've used older versions of youtube vanced in the past without issue, but lately I haven't been able to get the magisk and rooted versions working. Now instead - I disable stock youtube (or uninstall using Titanium Backup), uncheck stock Youtube's auto-update, reboot phone, install microg and then install the non-rooted vanced's apk. Then I'll see an app called "Youtube Vanced."

Go to play store, find YouTube, hit the uninstall button. It won't completely uninstall it, then reboot, and vanced should be working :good:

Really!? In play store, under settings, you turned off Auto-update apps?? And still updates YouTube?? That's weird. No problem with that on my end

No not there, I would like to keep auto update on most apps on... I tried disabling from the download area, check screenshot. But I'll give it a go what's you suggest. I've attached a screenshot

Ah gotchya. Personally, I've never tried that method you mentioned. I don't like any of my apps to auto-update because sometimes it messes with my themed apps until the developer updates the theme. Thanks for the tip though :good:

stopped working for me. So i unchecked the module rebooted. cleared cache both types. Then disabled. Then reached magisk module, then rebooted then went to play store and clicked uninstall then open. Working perfect now.

YouTube Vanced deleted from Magisk Repo

Hello I know that YouTube Vanced is deleted from the Magisk Repo due to Google's new System APK Signature verification, but I really don't care to have the latest YouTube Version installed as Vanced, can someone please upload the latest YouTube Vanced zip file that was available on the Magisk repo? Thanks ^^
You can always just go to the Vanced website, click the link for old versions and use the installer with wherever version you want to install as a Magisk module.

Yeah... They usually change URLs quite often (don't know why). Currently it seems to be https://vancedapp.com/
