Work great thanks

Hallo, yeah it works great.
But I don't know if it's a bug if you zoom in HDR mode, the app closes.

Thanks, I will try it as soon as the mi note 10 lite is better supported (custom recovery/roms)

Video Recording also working with macro and wide lenses support. Yes you can shoot videos on AUX cameras as well with this port.
How you shoot videos with wide/macro lenses?
Also lenses icons disappear from viewfinder when switching between modes.

How can I load the config? I can't find the button

It doesn't let me download the app despite deleting all my gcam ports on my device
edit: nvm i deleted my old app but for some reason had to manually do it again from the settings

hi,
you create a GCam folder at the root of the internal memory (internal shared storage space), in this GCam folder you create a Configs7 folder and in this Configs7 folder you put the XML file.
sorry for my bad english.

When I create a photosphere it won't let me see it. It opens the gallery app. But the default app doesn't recognize photospheres

Thanks, works really nicely. Only issue I found is a brief screen flicker when changing screen orientation.

1080 30/60 fps and 4k 30fps stabilization not working. it is supported on this version?

Thanks for your effort. The mod is great except for the video. It freezes and crashes the phone.
Hope you can fix the issue soon. Also, the app icon, I wish you use the classic Gcam icon. well, it is just my opinion

how can I use the ultrawide camera on the gcam?

You need to make a file named Gcam in the internal storage
then inside that you make another file named Configs7
In that you just paste the xml file which is privided
(the files need to be named exactly as i typed them btw)
then you just double tap at the gcam app in the black part between the picture taking button and the gallery
It should show you a white rectangular shape and you press update
then you get access to ultrawide and macro

It doesn't let me record video for some reason

Awesome man! Thank you for posting. I'll give it a try today.
Is there a reason none of the gcams so far have working slow motion video? I find it hard to believe that the hardware on this phone is incapable of slow motion... And this version removes the option all together...anyone know why? Can we get a working version with slow motion? I really miss that feature. Found it VERY handy when troubleshooting fast moving machinery at work.

I can't make it work on 8.1 yet...
On the MGC_6.1.021_RazerPhone2_V1a version, if I use the double-click side button shortcut to start Gcam, normal camera mode does not save images after capturing them. Switching camera mode works around this issue, but is inconvenient.
If I start Gcam normally from the app drawer, the camera mode saves images as usual.
Can you reproduce this issue?

Perfect, works great!
Will you consider adding telephoto lens toggle similar to other Gcam branches?

If add it so that it works without fixing build.prop then the Google lens will not work.
Abousltely beast. Salute my man.
I tried installing this apk but i get the "app not installed" when i try to install it. Anybody have an idea what it could be?
EDIT: Nvm, I did not uninstall an older version of the app. Now that i did, it installs fine.

Aux lens has less light sensitivity, it has no stabilization, so it makes the photo under any conditions worse than the main lens. aux lens is not needed ...
Any way to get this updated with the 60fps video recording?
So I downloaded and installed the new version today. The camera is much, much faster, but it crashes every time I try to take a video. Is there some combination of settings causing this?
Edit: I changed the interface style (in the mod menu) from Pixel III to Pixel II, and video now works! However there is now a bright flash at the beginning of the video that is actually captured in the footage.
For android 9.0 need to do it all over again. It will take some time.

I don’t know yet ... There will definitely be tracking focus in video mode (example: https://drive.google.com/open?id=10AGDx3aDS0Bue7lv1Ql1eMw4DEhQr21h) and there will definitely not be slow-mo, since the CONTROL_AE_AVAILABLE_TARGET_FPS_RANGES key will give a maximum of 30 fps for Android 9.0, and for slow-mo need 120fps.

Either way, without your work I'd have returned the phone the day after I bought it. So thanks again!
Would love a Pie version as well. Just ordered the phone with the price drop and camera is one thing that's lacking
Hopefully there is continued development. I just bought my wife this phone coming from the s8+. Can you add a TIMELAPSE option? She used that a lot. Thanks.

Google Camera is the camera app for the Google Nexus and Google Pixel phones. It is not designed or intended to be run on other phones.
What is HDR+?
HDR+ is Google's proprietary image processing routine. HDR+ employs image stacking to control exposure, and also to preserve details, reduce noise, increase sharpness, etc. It is an all-in-one package.
Here is the working Google Camera a.k.a GCam for Realme 2 Pro.
What is working ?
- Panorama Mode
- Portrait Mode with HDR+ and HDR+ enhanced (Front and Back)
- Normal Camera Mode with HDR+ and HDR+ enhanced (Front and Back)
- Video Mode
- LED Flash Light at Back
- Night Sight, Photo Sphere, Photo Booth, Time Lapse, Lens.
Known Bugs:-
-Slo Motion Mode FC, Front Screen Flash FC, Lags and Freezes in Night Sight mode for front camera
-Some time delay in view finder, Minimal white dots if you zoom in otherwise it is not noticeable.
Note:-
If you find any issue which is not mentioned in bug list then comment below and if it is a crash or force close then report with logcat.

GCam in LG G7 won't load lgg7.xml (says it's not there...)
Hello, sorry for the nubie status...
My phone is a LG G7 ThinQ (G710ULM), cross-flashed to Android 10 using a Canadian kdz).
I just installed your GCam port (7.3.018 v2.1). I then tried to load the configs file lgg7.xml but the new 'Camera' app says 'You don't have any configs!'
I tried installing the app from a GCam directory (at the same level as DCIM) on both internal and micro SD storage. I tried placing the same lgg7.xml file in both Configs and Configs7 sub directories - nothing works.
Seems that the app itself needs the Configs file since it's slow to track what you are pointing the lens at.
Any suggestions?

Huh, so now this is weird... while the .apk's file name says it's v2.1, upon installing and opening the app it's still the exact same as before and says it's still version 2 (so no HDR or anything). You may have accidentally confused the two files. See the screenshot attached here: https://i.imgur.com/4yDpwrm.jpg
P.S Thanks a lot for putting so much effort into the app btw!

It seems HDR still isn't kicking in (HDR is turned on and so is HDR+ Control; same results without HDR+ Control and HDR). See the attached screenshots below:
Stock Camera (HDR example): https://i.imgur.com/sSmIWKq.jpg
PenguinGCam (HDR enabled, not working?): https://i.imgur.com/u1Z3boi.jpg
Is HDR not working or are there some other settings besides HDR+ Control in Advanced Options and HDR in PenguinGCam Settings that also need to be changed in order for HDR to work? Thanks a lot!

HI, I saw that A51 doesn't support full caméra2 api but you managed to get hdr+ working on this phone without root...
Could you please do something to the huawei p20 pro which suffer from this issue, please?

Im sorry, I do not have a huawei p20 to test or debug. And on A51 HDR + is extremly buggy(it sometimes uses HDR in a photo and sometimes not) and if you want HDR+ RAW( which will be part of 3.0) you will need root to enable full camera2api if that even works.
Maybe you will find something on the internet: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=gcam+huawei+p20+pro&ia=web
Does it good enough for daily use? Maybe for taking picture of Online Classes Assessment?

New request
It would be awesome if it could be added google photos integration like in most gcam modifications.

Hello zombieanidata,
full google photos integration will not be happening, but penguingcam already uses Google photos editor for photo editing. If you don't have google photos installed, editing photos within PenguinGCam is not possible

Probably a stupid question..... but the apk just "works" on my zen8. Where do I enter these settings to alter or add tele/wide? (I have opened the settings menu but do not recognize the fields where I can enter these values)

What is the difference between the different versions?
I will prepare a collection of photos from Camera app and gcam. From my observations it's 50/50 which means that some are better on Asus and some on Google cam. From what I see is that in very difficult conditions - like against direct sunlight - Google makes more pleasent photos, but Asus is generally brighter and in shadows keeps more natural colours. In dimmspaces Google keeps the colours as they are, however.
Most of the times during day theres no visible benefit of google. Also HDR+ takes much more time to shoot. HDR is quick, though.
I've read on zenfone 7, that is possible to activate the 64mpixel. I tried all IDs, but no-one works. On zenfone 7, the write that I'd is 6
ID 6 crashes the app so it does not work.
After todays photo session I can say that the gcam is not an upgrade. In most cases stock camera is better. Actually looking at the app versions it seems that the stock camera IS Google Camera with some slight adjustment.
If the sharpness of the stock cmaera could be slightly reduced to avoid pixelation it would be perfect. Maybe some manual log change will be possible for that.
I have created a folder with various photos from the Zenfone 8 taken on the stock camera and on the gcam.
You're welcome to take a look and compare by yourself - all data and an easy way to differentiate the cameras is the "info" where gcam has PXL_ in name and stock has P_
Comments on album are welcome.

In my opinion the stock camera is generally better and produces more true to life outcome. It is a little bit to bright and the sharpness in details is a little to big. You can see that only by zooming in. This can be overcome by shooting 64MP which happens quick but the size is bigger.
Thank you for your contribution, nice photos!
From what I can see, the gcam has more sharpening and saturation, which I like in photos.
But I prefer the HDR management of the stock camera, I love how it captures the clouds.
Is there a way to adjust contrast and saturation on the stock camera?
Yes and no, there are no options for that but you can slightly lower the brightness during the photo taking with a slider onscreen. That makes them a little more like gcam.
I have also noticed that HDR on stock is really nice but it softenes the image and destroys edges. With no HDR it super sharp.
Also stock wide camera has almost no distortion where gcam is quite round on edges.
New photos added to the album. The latest update seems to improve HDR very much. It's now better than gcam in almost every case.
thanks for sharing your experience, for me most of the times the gcam pics look much better on a calibrated monitor.
do you know if Face retouching and night sight are working with this gcam version?

I saw that selfie camera, during night, the HDR doesn't work properly. But also the stock camera, all selfies in the night are very cheaper quality :/
Edit: I put the selfie camera with "pixel 4 settings", it works now!

I saw that gcam make miracles, especially with selfie camera, during night. HDR work perfectly. All lens working properly.
This gcam freezing after 3 seconds, but i can take pictures, while changing lens. We need buffer fix, for make it working? or existing some config file?
Thanks
4k/60 fps doesn't work with gcam, is saved as 4k/30fps.. Would like to use GCam for filming because it has much smoother zooming while recording, in the default camera app the zoom is very choppy.

* Thanks To Wichaya For Another Great Mod
Awesome thank you very much! This is what I've been desperately searching for since I use LineageOS and there was no support for multiple cameras.
Thanks for working on this!
Is wide and tele camera also not working on your OPO 7 Pro with this GCam mod? I installed the Wichaya APK including the .XML from this thread and wide as well as tele cameras are not working for me at all (black screen).

Very strange. My screen doesn't look like that. It looks like the attached photo. I installed the APK (the Snapcam version) and the XML from the OP. Am I missing a step? Notice also that I only have two flash modes, on and off (no auto). The camera works just fine, but something doesn't seem right.

Um, that's what I'm saying: mine doesn't look like that. Same Snapcam APK, same XML file, LineageOS 18.1. Look at my screenshot. Flash doesn't have the "auto" setting, and the slider says "0.7x, 1x, 2.2x" instead of "Wide, Main, Tele." That's my point. Maybe I missed doing something essential when I installed the camera? Is just putting the XML into GCam/Configs8 enough, or is there an additional step? The camera works, but it's not matching what you're showing.
EDIT: Never mind. I dropped back from 8.1 to 7.3, and things are now working just fine.

Might there some problem with the European version of the OP7 Pro and this camera mod?

Although I see,
now that I read the previous posts,
there are no problems with LineageOS either.
Thanks, after deinstallation and installation of the camera, now also wide and tele cameras are working. Yesterday I also updated manually to the most current version of Oxygen OS. This might also be related to the problem that wide and tele cameras weren't working before hand.
