Ambient Display - Sony Xperia 1 II Questions & Answers

It is possible to select personal pictures as the Ambient display wallpaper?
When I select my pictures, I get a error message. Do you need a different format?
Or can you only use the default pictures as Ambient wallpaper?

[Q] How to select multiple photos for Live Wallpaper photo album

Hi there
Got my Z3c on Saturday and am trying to figure out how to select multiple photos to add to the Live Wallpaper photo album. I expected to be able to long press a photo and see a tick mark but it seems I would need to add them all individually. Am I missing something? None of the menu options seem to indicate multi-select
In the Google Photos app I can multi-select, but not when I use that as the source for photos for the live wallpaper. Same situation with the ALBUM app.
Any help appreciated!

Ambient brightness level

Hi. Does anyone know a way to adjust the ambient brightness level for the always on mode?
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
The only solution I could find is to use a watch face that has a grey filter on top (of some sort).
Try the "crono watch face" from play (freeware) to see what I'm talking about.
you can recreate that behaviour in WatchMaker or Facer as well:
add a topmost 1px black image spanned to full screen and visilble only in dimmed mode
using opacity you can then change the brightness
you can even go ahead and have it adjusted automatically based on current hour or sunrise/sunset

ciao dettofatto
in watchmaker, I use the attached image scaled to 512x512px as the topmost layer and with the following forumla in the opacity field:
{dh23} > 18 and 50 or {dh23} < 7 and 50 or 0
red indicates the time in which to apply the filter (in my case between 19:00 and 07:00)
and blue how much the screen will be dimmed (higher number = darker screen)
I have the layer visible only in dim mode, so the watch won't be dimmed when active
of course, this only affects the watchface, not notifications or anything else
Im using the awesome A45 watch face, can adjust ambient light to whatever you like
I use brightness display for wear.
Brightness in fonction of time, position and activity
True Dark

I use the "SWApp True Dark" app. The levels (normal & ambient) are set on the watch after running the app there. There's a function to set the app on/off using slide but that can be disabled.

Lockscreen dimness

I remember about a week ago, the lockscreen would never be dimmed and the lockscreen picture would be in its full context.
Recently, my lockscreen picture is always dim and the clock is in its full brightness. I looked around in settings and I don't think I ticked an option. Anyone?

Screensaver Option

Hi, I tried to set a group of my Family photos as Screensaver to move around in a loop.. I go thro SETTINGS--DISPLAY--SCREENSAVER--PHOTOS and Choose the appropriate folder and click 3 Dots to set "EITHER" Option.. But none of the photos display in Dock or Charging Mode.. What can I do or Is there any settings I need to change to display the photos irrespective of their size ??

Missing camera sliders

Is there an option i need to enable to get the brightness and shadow sliders enabled? I don't have them on my P4XL, it looks like I am currents with the camera app.
You should just have to tap the screen.
